Was hard to find help. Low stock on outdoor furniture. Some folks are unaware they do have a upstairs that is usually full of outdoor items but shelves where bare. There is Seasonal clearance up there so good bargins!

I love Menards! Best home improvement store in the area. I go out of my way to go here, rather than Home Depot or Lowes. I feel like the staff are friendlier and more helpful. I always find what I need easily here, and everything is nicely organized. I appreciate the yard service. It makes loading lumber an easy process. The Burnsville location is my favorite of those Ive been to. Best layout.

The communication between the lumberyard and inside sales is non-existent. Two times i have been to this store and told by yard employees pricing for all lumber regardless of dimension in the economy stud slot was all the same price as it was damaged, warped or otherwise. I returned to buy material from the economy stud slot, sorted and counted the boards and re-entered the store to correctly make my purchase. Because their computer didnt show as many items in stock as I was trying to buy (they told me their economy stud count is never accurate) they said they would have to see what it was I was wanting. I walked out with the building materials manager (Cody) and showed him the lumber and where it came from. He told me that lumber shouldnt have been in that section and that the yard staff didnt have the authority to mark it the sake price regardless of dimension despite the fact it was economy. We were joined by manager (Jason) and I showed him the material and where it came from. He refused to honor their word and apologized for the inconvenience. Thank you for wasting my time. It will be the last time I enter your store.

Great prices on everything I needed. The Burnsville location went through a remodel so it has some what of an update but not like the new Super Menard stores. However, I like the size and f this location, things are easy to find and store is smaller so you don’t spent so much time walking all around looking for an item. They do not have indoor plants but have a nice selection of outdoor plants. The staff there is very friendly but as any place post COVID they are under staffed and looking for help so have patience and understanding they are doing their best with current circumstances.

Today I had a terrible experience at menards in Burnsville MN. I had a member named Thomas delivery supervisor that was suppose to help with my issue about install my new stove. He was talking down on me and raising his voice at me after I would politely ask him questions about some issues. I could not believe how much he kept talking down on me. I was planning on doing many renovations for my home, but after today im not even thinking twice about it. Terrible customer service from Thomas, Menard shouldnt hired Thomas to be a supervisor.But Emmanuel from the delivery department was nice and helpful.

Had everything I needed to drill a .046 diameter hole pluss a drill chuck adapter to use in my Ryoby drill!

The delivery supervisor at this location Thomas is very rude and dont know how to talk to customers. Its very unfortunate because most people here are nice people.

Great place to shop I can always find an employee when I need one.

Don’t even know where to start.I will never order anything from Building material again at this Menards.I ordered some doors, they have some on stack and some other where special order, they supposed to take the ones off the floor for me to take the next, I paid for them and everything. Next day I show up and they can’t find my doors, after searching for like 1 hour, they came to the conclusion that they were never taken off the floor and they were sold to some one else. They pull the ones they have available for me to pick up the next day, guess what?They sold again to some one else. For the second time my doors where sold again, special order door arrived, got an email saying that my order was ready to pick up.Got there, my order is no where to be found.At this time they missed up my order 3 times which out mentioning I spend 2 hours each time, next day another email saying that my order was completed and ready to been picked up. Once again my order no where to be found. After 2 hour waiting they where able to find it.Will never buy or order anything from building and materials from this Menards again.

As a store, I love menards, no issues at all, they rock. I respect that they were one of the first stores to require masks, they didn’t get caught up in politics and risk American lives by listening to the orange bafoon. I prefer menards over Home Depot and Lowe’s for hundreds of reasons though. Chiefly among those being better selection and prices.So, today when I tried their “curbside” delivery I was a bit let down. In this one area Home Depot and Lowe’s are by far superior. Menards “curbside” really isn’t even what I’d consider curbside. First you have to stop at a gate and scan your barcode you receive on your email order confirmation. Which would be nice if that actually did something! You’d expect scanning that would let them know you are there and to bring out your order. It does not. It just opens the gate and allows you to enter the yard. Once in the yard you park in a spot designated for “curbside” pickup. And wait. Expecting someone will come out with your order since you scanned your barcode. They don’t come. So, you then notice a tiny phone number taped on to the curbside parking sign, you call that number and when someone answers then you give them your order number… then finally when someone comes out with your order, they place it in your trunk and hand you a piece of paper…. If at this point you could just leave, great, but oh no, you now have to bring that paper to the security gate, get out of your car, making contact with the “security” guard, give him the paper and let him rummage through your car to ensure you didn’t somehow steal something from the yard…. Really?What’s the point? Im not sure how you can even call this curbside…The biggest laugh is that in the email they send you with your order confirmation, they have the audacity to write “our secure order process IMPROVES on curbside pickup” … yeah…. Right…. Improves on nothing

Well I had to do some Plumbing work one of my most favorite things! Not!! I was 99% sure I bought the right handle set for the faucet in the shower. Boy was I way off. So the second trip I did get the right part and Im in the process of turning chrome into rubbed bronze.

Never again. Menards has to be shedding customers like crazy with their mask police. I try to use smaller supplies but now I make a concerted effort to not use Menards for anything. Too bad, I use to like the place. I know Im far from alone.

They wouldnt let anyone bring kids in last spring because of their covid rules.

We have always preferred Menards over other home improvement stores and have spent upwards of 50k there just in the last couple of years, and much more over the past 5-6. Our most recent experience was disheartening to say the least.I understand that you are a private company and can “make your own rules” as I was just told, however, even the stringent state mask mandate outlines specific exemptions.As stated in the mandate “Businesses may not require customers to provide proof of a medical condition, mental health condition, or disability, or require customers to explain the nature of their conditions or disability.” Not only were we asked to leave, but we were asked by two separate employees, one being a manager, about why we weren’t wearing a mask.I was also told that “all other home improvement stores are requiring the exact same thing” which is inaccurate. I have personally been in many other stores (one directly following us leaving Menards) without a mask with no rude response and no questions. These other stores recognize that the needs of their customer base will vary and they can still mitigate risks without micromanaging every person that enters their buildings.I understand that as a private business Menards will develop their own policies, however, as a customer that has in the past gone out of my way to give my business to Menards I would hope that this type of feedback is taken into account when you are considering how to approach the current situation regarding COVID.I attempted to give kind and calm feedback to a manager both in store and over the phone following our brief visit and I was shocked by the rude responses I received.I also specifically asked if they would not be honoring the exemptions and instead of engaging in any further conversation the manager repeated, “We are a private company” interrupting each word I attempted to say until I kindly stated that we would take our business elsewhere and began to walk toward the door. When I asked the same question to a different manager over the phone and pointed out that asking an individual why they are not wearing a mask is in violation of HIPAA I was told that this does not apply to Menards.If a store wants to kindly ask someone to leave that is their decision, but when you begin to make false claims and ignore feedback from a calm, well-meaning customer you are walking a very fine line.We will now be taking our business where we are welcome to shop.

Used to work here as a security contractor. The people were pretty nice and they tried their hardest when Walz put the hammer down on the store for mask violations (thats why security was so tight on the mask policy) also, got to know the front door guy a little, pinkerton (so no s**t he is going to take his job seriously) all the one stars are from people who dont really care about quality, they just care about my honor and my feelings and yes, one time we were very low stock because covid made shipping a pain to deal with (idk why). Staff was a little green but what do you expect its a department store so they hire teens. And people cant seem to realize that the security is not Menards own, they are contractors so dont blame Menards if security is big meenies because you flipped them off for asking if you had a mask.

HUGE, warehouse sized store filled with everything you could ever need for home, garden, hardware and automotive projects. Kind and attentive staff each time Ive been, who know where everything is, usually. I was impressed with the selection of plants and gardening supplies, as well as the variety of items that can be found. They even sell clothes and snacks, kids toys, and more. Definitely will return, better than the Richfield location in my opinion.

I do save big money at Menards! They have been having 11% off every week and they have the best price comparing with Home Depot and Lowes. Great place to buy all your stuff for your summer projects.

This place is really not a good place to ask for help, all I get is directions to nowhere. everybody looks like busy doing nothing. management should get involve. someone is not doing the work right

They usually have what Im looking for but from the entry to the exit they first force you to try and walk through a line of people attempting to make returns. Next you must try and make your way through a cluttered floor and isles where there is usually a mess of obstacles. Once at checkout things are usually smooth but somewhat congested. They needed a bigger layout or a layout that works better for someone pushing a cart

I drove all the way to Burnsville to get one particular thing that was supposedly in stock according to the website, and they didnt have it. There was no one around to help either. So I settled for the next best thing, which was supposed to be on sale, and THAT item didnt ring up as on sale at the register. What a FRUSTRATING and disappointing trip.

Management very helpful with warranty exchanges in and out quickly! Never had service like this! Thank you for making people wear a mask! It is a health code violation. If you cant wear a mask because of a health condition they offer curb side pickup!

I like the new layout of the store as it is easier to shop. They did great with their outdoor garden plants this year too. It can be difficult to find an employee when you need assistance.

Large and clean, well-lit store and helpful employees

Customer service counter was so backed up you had to squeeze your way through the crowd just to get in the store. Only to find out that if you dont have a mask that was the line you had to wait in to purchase one before being allowed entry. Completely different layout than any other Menards store Id ever been to, Took me forever to find anything. They also usually have a food section which I couldnt seem to find. Already frustrated from having to hunt down everything I didnt bother to ask. I just wanted to get outside, take that damn mask off and be able to breathe again

I spend a whole lot of money here. I have never been treated like this before. No mask no entry but I can buy 1 for $1. I dont think so. Never again will I give you my money. Home depot or fleet farm is where ill be shopping from here on out.

Smaller than some Menards, but still a good store. Wish the help was better though. They need more employees for sure in all departments! I generally like Menards more than Home Depot, but dont like waiting MORE THAN 15 minutes to find, and or get someone to answer a question or help me find something! What couldve been a 1/2 hr trip turns into 3 hours because theres no help to guide you to where particular items are or answer questions in order to help decide what item I may need for a job.

They actually carry PEX-A known as Expansion PEX or power PEX. This is better than regular crimp PEX because it expands over the fittings and forms by constricting itself for a tight seal. The only issue is PEX-A is hard to find. But they have it here since this is on of their big stores for contractors.

Weve spent a lot of money here but since theyve decide to discriminate against single parents (most of whom are women) we wont be back. There is no place for this in our lives. Weve moved to Home Depot and theyve welcomed us with fair and equal treatment and better prices.

My wife and I have spent a fortune at Menards every year. We own multiple homes, rental properties and a cabin. When my wife was born she had complications and almost died from suffocating.Due to this she CAN NOT wear a mask without having a major anxiety attack. It has happened and she has had to be put in the hospital due to this.Both my wife and I had Covid 6 months ago and it was no big deal. It was no more than a bad cold. We are not carriers of it and we do not have it!The staff at Menards and the manager are pure evil!They forced my wife out of the store because she did not have a mask on.They also did not care that she had a medical condition!We now only go to Lowes and Home Depot.We will never shop at Menards again!

Went inside to get some rocks for the house and a couple other things but were later stopped by a security guy who humiliated my mother in front of others because we werent wearing a mask. As he followed us across the entire store he was yelling at others creating a scene to another guy who had his mask down. The customer put it back on and immediately got in trouble again by the security dude who thought he didnt put it back on. We were not stealing a $5,000 item. There was no reason to humiliate your customers and yelling across the store to others who did not have a mask. This is America, you can wear a mask if you like.

Great place to find all your home improvement supplies. Just be prepared to find them on your own. Almost every time Ive asked an employee for assistance, they dont seem that knowledgeable. But otherwise, Id still go there because they have good prices.

Thank you menards for making masks a requirement in your store, I am much more comfortable shopping there because of it. My pregnant wife and I have got to complete a variety of projects over quarantine.

Didn’t have much variety in the garden center

I needed to purchase siding for my home and I dont quite know exactly what Im doing as it is not my expertise. I went to Apple Valley Menards 3 times and left there without accomplishing anything. All 3 staff members there that I interacted with seemed like they didnt want to assist me at all. I decided to try the burnsville store and was very satisfied. Colton was very patient and helped walk me through everything and gave sound advice. It may not be a lot but Apple Valley missed out on a $3k purchase. Thanks Colton!
