I had a top notch experience at this VisionWorks. This was my first eye exam in many, many years. The Doctor was kind and responsive and answered all my questions and concerns. The rest of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They did a great job making me feel comfortable and helped me pick out my first pair of glasses ever, which I absolutely love! Its so nice to be able to read labels again!
My husband and I both had great experiences with our eye exams, new glasses and contacts. Jody was absolutely wonderful in helping us with all of our needs!!We highly recommend the Burnsville location!
I visited this location on July 7th with every intention to take advantage of their BOGO deal. When I walked in the lady at the front counter just stared at me. I was in there for about 20 minutes and not one employee acknowledged me but they definitely saw me. Instead I witnessed employees greeting and offering assistance to every customer that walked in after me. At one point I was standing next to another customer and an employee walked up to him offering to assist him but did not even acknowledge me. I felt like I was being profiled and not welcome. I have always bought my glasses from this location for over 20 years. The last time being 3 years ago. This current staff sucks. Never coming back and will let corporate know as well.
Kimberly helped me today and made my trip a great experience! She was very polite, welcoming, and made me feel at ease. I loved how she was professional, but also fun enough to not make it feel like I was at a doctor’s office. I’ve been to VisionWorks many times (at multiple locations) and I honestly feel like she was a standout employee.The rest of my appointment was nice too. The doctor (Mox) was polite and helpful. The general atmosphere of the store felt friendly.

After two failed attempts at adjusting my recently purchased glasses I found your technician, AJ, to be just the ticket. She new immediately what was needed, was very professional, friendly and wears cool shoes! Thanx, AJ, for the perfect fix.

Beware of these crooks. When I went in for an eye exam they told me they arent doing the pupil dilation due to Covid. Not to worry - they have an alternate process theyll be happy to do that will cost just $20 cash. Where is the science behind this? Sure seems like if pupil dilation was such a huge public health threat, they probably shouldnt be doing eye exams instead of trying to force you to undergo this shady alternative treatment thats not covered by insurance and must be paid for in cash.

From the moment I stepped into the day I picked up my eyeglasses, I have noticed a harsh sentiment and unprofessional manner. First and foremost, they make me feel Im not welcomed. Is this place only for a particular kind of people? I have also seen how rude they are toward each other. Stay away From this place.
I had an outstanding experience at Visionworks (a surprise since I actively avoid going to the eye doctor!)They excepted my insurance, were able to get me in for an exam with a phone call on the same day, and help me order new glasses and contacts in a grand total of just over an hour.The staff was friendly, efficient, helpful (without being overbearing or pushy), and very professional! They also didn’t make fun of me using FaceTime to get my significant other’s opinion on the glasses I was trying! :-) “ The spousal seal of approval” they called it. I’m stealing that!I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for new glasses or contacts.
One of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had period. Completely unorganized in every way. Would never recommend this location. They messed up the frame ordering and they got the prescription wrong, when I tried to get them fixed they couldnt even find my profile. A two week process had turned into 2 months. Finally fixed at another location.

Excellent service today with a very unexpected outcome! My son broke his frames on glasses we purchased there awhile ago, and they were able to fix them up in 15 minutes and DIDNT CHARGE us!! So good to see positive customer service -- we will buy all our glasses here.
Honestly they lied to me...they sd no charge for exam. As insurance was covering it. I sd for both? Glasses and contacts. A.J sd yes. Confirmed 3 times with 3 different phone calls. Get there, get my exam done and A.J goes $102 is due. I sd you sd it was all covered she sd oh yeah i made a mistake. I was like well im not paying for your mistake. I want my prescription for my glasses and contacts. A.J started crying jodi another worker kept callibg me a child cause i was upset that thier mistake was costing me money. Then i left very very upset my blood was boiling and i didnt have any form of payment cause i didnt expect to spend anything...and then to call back with payment and have them hang up on me multiple times hence i didnt even say anything to finally them saying dont come back its covered. Mind you they charged my insurance and i dont have my prescription for at least glasses(that my insurance did cover). Meaning i cant go somewhwre else for an ecam...Corporate better fix this other wise i have no problem Taking this to the bbb...
Trevor was very helpful for my sunglasses repair, and went above and beyond in helping my husband find the right glasses as well. We will definitely be coming back when we need new ones!
When there selling there happy but when u need them to fix problem they are very rude
I completely understand that Covid has things all kinds of messed up, but if you are going to require appointments, I would expect to not wait 15 minutes without being acknowledged. I simply needed my glasses adjusted, you would think more than 1 person would know how to do that. I will find another place to get them adjusted and give my business.All 3 times Ive been there has been a subpar experience, but I gave them the benefit or the doubt.
I visited this location Jan. 2020. The Eye Doctor, Trevor Mox, was rude. When I entered his exam room and said “hello,” he just pointed to the exam chair for me to sit. He was visibly annoyed, scolded me, and had his back to me the majority of the appointment. He seemed to be nearly shaking with anger. Nothing could have possibly provoked him, seeing as how I have never met him before and he was rude from the moment I entered his room. I felt very uncomfortable and would never be behind closed doors with him again.The rest of the staff was lovely, they are the whole reason people are posting good reviews.I will not be returning to this location and I would not recommend others visit this location.
My daughter and I went looking for glasses, walked into Pearle Vision in Burnsville mall and was ignored while 4 or 5 employees stood around doing nothing, no one asked us if we needed help so we left after 10 minutes. When we arrived at Visionworks, we were greeted right away by the General Manager, Christian Wagner. He was so helpful and offered to help us both look for glasses. He actually picked out both pairs that we bought and also stayed after closing on a Friday night. The gal that helped us with the lenses was also very friendly and helpful.
What an absolute waste of my time. Made an appointment more than a week in advance. Shopped for about fifteen minutes then asked to take a seat. Sat for more than thirty minutes with no help. Place was not busy but nobody felt a need to help. Tried to buy, will not again.

I had an excellent experience at VisionWorks in Burnsville. I needed an eye exam and new glasses and received a friendly and professional exam and great assistance from Bobbi and Jody. I highly recommend them and appreciated the user friendly online appointment system too!
My husband and I came in for new glasses and the manager offered to help us. We told him what we liked and disliked and he showed us some glasses we never would have chosen but we absolutely love them and still love them! We were so impressed with the time he spent helping us and then about a week later came in for some fine-tuning adjustments. Now ourglasses are perfect. We will definitely continue coming to this Vision Works for our future needs.

Third and final strike. Went to this location a few weeks ago for a yearly eye exam. First, the customer service was awful. The lady was unsure how to use the machine that blasts your eyeball with air. Each eye had to be redone 3 times. At that time I didnt think anything of it. After the exam, I found new glasses and the lady assisting me went through what times would work best to pick up my glasses. I told her my work schedule and we discussed that 2 weeks from then, which wouldve been this past Friday, theyll be in. Great. Okay. I left thinking it would be taken care of. I never received and email or text confirmation for my appointment which I found was strange but decided to just wait and go by the information I was told. Friday comes and goes, I dont get any notification. I call the location Saturday evening. Im told my glasses are ready but they dont have a pick up appointment scheduled for me. Im annoyed at this point. She tells me they had a last minute cancelation for the next day at 11 am, right when they open. I told her that would work and that Ill be there at 11 am for them and the adjustment. I show up at the mall at 11 am, walk up to the doors and they are all locked. Im told the mall doesnt open until noon. I go back to my car and call the location. No answer, but I do get directed to their customer call center. The representative also calls over and confirms online that they opened at 11 am. I decided Id walk through the restaurant to get into the mall. I get to the Visionworks store and the gates are closed. To my surprise, its the same lady that had originally helped me with ordering my glasses and setting up the pick up appointment as well as the same lady I spoke with the previous day to schedule my appointment for today. I ask her what time they open. She tells me noon. I tell her that I called yesterday and was told that there was an 11 am appointment that was canceled last minute and I could come in then. She tells me, The Mall opens at noon and I will unlock the doors at that time. Ill be looking for a new location to do business with. I understand that mistakes happen, but three mistakes made for my one pair of glasses?! Very frustrating.
I needed a simple adjustment done to my glasses. I tried to call multiple times before I stopped out to see how busy they were. Nobody picked up so I decided to drive out there. I was told that they would not help me because they were very busy and that I did not have an appointment. I never needed an appointment in the past for an adjustment. If I did need an appointment, they could have told me on the phone- if they would have just answered. To be fair, I have always had great service at the West St Paul and Highland locations, but have always been met with crabby, impersonal employees at the Burnsville loacation.
Our experience at the Burnsville location is always pleasant, especially with the manager, Christian! Hes very honest and helps us pick out the right frames that suit us perfectly! Highly recommend him at this store to anyone!
Bobbi took the The time to help me pick the best frame for me and my needs and made sure we did the right prescription and measuring for the bifocals. I am very thankful for her help.

The GM (Christian) was super nice and helpful, making sure his job was done the best that it could be. He even offered to help repair my dads glasses when it was my glasses that were the issue. Overall a nice experience, and Im definitely coming back.

I love this place and wont go anywhere else. Their product is great and always offers a wide variety of choices. Michelle took care of me this time and she was extremely helpful and patient. Visionworks is the only place I’ll go from now on! I was seen right on time, appointment was Thorough but quick and the employees are very friendly. Frame selection is definitely excellent and I easily found several pairs I liked. The doctor who saw me was very knowledgeable and was very good at dialing in my prescription better than I’ve ever had before! A special thanks to Bobbi for going the extra mile to get the maximum out of my insurance and making sure I understood my benefits moving forward. It was a true “five star” experience!! Will definitely be returning! The staff (Terry Busby) was very knowledgeable, patient, and attentive during my last visit. Great prices as well, we were able to find my 12yr old son new glasses and Terry assisted him with his first pair of contacts. Not an easy task, but Terry did a wonderful job and my son is a pro now!
Barbara Robinson help me out picking out a pair of sunglasses and it was a great experience very pleasant and very patient. Will definitely come back and ask for her again.
I’m usually not a fan of the eye doctor, but this was the most pleasant places I’ve been. I received so much help when it came to picking out the correct frames as well as the best way to get the things I need!

Mediocre service, the people are very friendly yes.. however I should be able able to order contacts over the phone and pay in cash when I pick them up. That is ridiculous, people have jobs and lives and that is just what I needed.

I got my last pair of glasses here and my exam and I have gone to several other places and this location always has the best selection! I have a narrow face and they had a wide variety for women with petite faces. I actually had a hard time deciding, but working with Danielle made it fun and easy. She helped me weight the pros and cons of the different lenses and frames and I ended up getting $250 off both! I also had all my eye exams there and liked Dr. Stacy as she answered all of my random questions. I ended up getting the best lenses they offer that block the blue lights from devices and have the anti glare and other benefits for my eyes. Overall, I’m very pleased with the service and glasses I have gotten and have received several compliments on my frames. I feel working with these two experts have made getting glasses at Vision Works a breeze.

Ive been a repeat costumer for years even after my insurance changed. Recently went to get new glasses. I usually have a wing man to help me pick them out but they couldnt go. I still ended up with a great pair of glasses with the help of Barbara & Danielle. They helped me find enough options and told me honestly what looked good & didnt. Nor try to get me into the most expensive pair. Will continue to return here for glasses & contacts
I went into Visionworks for an exam and glasses last week. I got my exam done and glasses ordered Wednesday and got my physical glasses with lenses Thursday evening. Staff was kind, helpful, and practical. So happy with the glasses too!

My first visit today 8/8/2017. I walked in and filled out the paperwork, there was no wait to see the doctor and I was out the door within 25 minutes. The eye doctor was very informative and answered my questions professionally. The front desk staff was fun to talk with while getting my glasses fitted. I think its slower during the week so a good time to go, if you can.

Horrible customer service. They claimed they couldnt repair my frames and they also couldnt email me my prescription. In this day and age, what reputable company doesnt have the capability to email you your medical records? It just doesnt make sense.

My experience was HORRIBLE! as soon as I sat down and the girl looked at my prescription, the 1st thing she said was oh my god your blind as a bat your going to spend money making these thin. Then when I went to pick up my glasses and put them on I asked if they looked straight and that girl said to me its your face how do they feel and I have 5 other people waiting so if I dont need anything else she needs to help them and without waiting for a response she got up and left So I walked out of vision works with glasses that do not fit. I now have to go elsewhere and hope they will adjust me. I have never been treated so poorly.
Worst customer service ever. Went today March 20th. Tried a ton of frames, no one came to even ask if they can help us. The customer service receptionist neither the optician acknowledged or presence. I asked an associate and they told us to sit to be helped by an optician. The optician ignored us for some time until I addressed her. There wasnt any other customer not another optician. She thought that we were being helped, not a nice person to deal with, once before we had to deal with her and she should not be dealing with public. Always make our glasses there, I chose not to because of that lady. Apparently they get paid for doing nothing. Cant tell why but definitely she did not want to deal with us. There was a girl that left that was super good helping people, so sorry she is gone.
Was able to make an appointment for the same day. However, there were only 2 employees to help with paperwork, being fitted for frames, and to pay bill. Was there for over 1.5 hours for an eye exam only. Over 30 of those minutes were waiting to pay our bill.
The lady that we first met at the main desk was very kind and helpful. My daughter was called back for her eye exam on time. When it was over there was some issue with getting the account straightened out. Another woman came over and was so very crabby and demeaning towards the woman helping us. She snapped at the woman helping us and treated her in such a disrespectful tone of voice. It was difficult to listen to and made us very uncomfortable. People working in a customer service job need to treat fellow employees respectfully. The crabby lady needs a job behind the scenes.
I was in for new glasses. After the test I was told I should see a Dr. N yes I did need eye work done. So I am very happy with this store n I thank Becky for getting to go in for a checkup.
Strangely I forget the womans name that has helped us both times we had come in. She was outstanding helping us with sizing glasses and fixing glasses. She was an absolute lifesaver with one of the frames so that my son could see at summer school until we are able to get a replacement. She has blonde hair and usually wears glasses working in the evenings. I had stopped by a couple times for the glasses to be repaired and was glad that it worked out when it did. We had the absolute friendliest receptionist that works here. And she is the most professional at this location also.
We were in Burnsville, two hours from home, for a dance competition and my daughter tore her contact lense. We stopped in at Vision World to see if there was any way that they had contacts on hand that we could buy. Due to the prescription strength that she has they did not have boxes on hand. They were nice enough to get her a trial lense at no charge to us. They made a girl that was in tears earlier, one of the happiest! Thank you!

Called on a Tuesday to replace my 7 year Olds glasses (20/70 vision in both eyes) and I kept getting the run around for two weeks. My son absolutely needs his glasses for everyday wear. He is getting head aches and cant do his school work. I finally got extremely mad when I was told that he had to wait another four days after already waiting two weeks....Im calling my insurance company and taking my business elsewhere. This place is a joke....dont go to the mall for serious matters I guess.

Also couldnt believe no one greets you, you have to practically beg someone for assistance.I purchased a pair of sunglasses and eye glasses however, I couldnt see! Everything was blurry I see the same with them as without them.I will be taking them to my opthamologist to see if Ive been ripped off!I will have to go have new lenses put in somewhere reputable!

Michelle was a great help. She answered all my questions in regards to Minnesota Ucare and the coverage they provide for their recepients(me). Other vision outfits had no idea what i was talking about. She also gave me options that would ensure I got my glasses faster.

Ok customer service, kind of a hassle though because initially I was going to have to pay for another eye exam when I had one done about 90 days ago. This time I just wanted to order contacts, but they told me I had to have another eye exam done in order to do a contact fitting. When I questioned it, they told me their policy was that the contact fitting had to be done within 60 days of the eye exam. At the time of my previous eye exam for glasses, I was made aware that I would have to have a contact fitting done when I wanted to order contacts, and I was fine with that. They didnt have time that day to get me back in for the contact fitting, so I just planned to get the fitting done when I was ready to order contacts, no big deal. However, today I was told I had to redo the whole eye exam and it was going to cost an additional $79 for the eye exam. How am I supposed to know about the 60 day policy if Im not made aware of it? And then to put the responsibility on me the customer, and make me pay for the exact same service again is terrible. I calmly discussed it with the rep, and in the end they waived the policy and just did the contact fitting. So Im happy with that, but there was no reason to make this a hassle. As a side note, there was an extremely upset woman in the waiting room who was much more upset than I was. Apparently she was told one thing by a rep, and they didnt follow through with it. I dont know the entire situation, but I would question the customer service aspect if the only two people in the waiting room at the time are unhappy. And I can say, the way they spoke to that customer was extremely disappointing. Whatever the situation, they should always put the customer first and do as much as possible for them. In this womans case, it didnt seem like they cared that she was upset.

Went in to fix an issue with a pair of glasses I got at another visionworks. The guy didnt question me at all. Set me up and I was on my way within 10min. Blown away at how easy that was and how friendly and understanding he was.
