A joke of a business. They rip people off & then dont pay the workers enough. Youre lucky if you can even get the item you paid for & if you dont then its not their problem. They tell you to call corporate & then corporate will hang up on you. Dont waste your time or money.
The guys were great! We had to drive an extra 60 miles because they had ac in stock at a great price. We would have had to wait until June to get the ac in Helena.
I purchased a craftsman 320 piece set on Wednesday. Today I decided to open the box and wouldn’t you know it it’s used. Everything is not where it’s supposed to be the screw driver had a bit in it. And one of the rear hinges on the box is broken. I’m furious. If this place is under new management... good luck.

I purchased a Kenmore AC from these guys and they were amazing! They made a special trip to the warehouse to make sure they had the one, it wasn’t AC season yet. They picked it up and had it ready for me and loaded it in my car! I think I was there less than 5 minutes! That’s service!

This place is shameful in the way they carry out their business. Absolutely horrible service and incredibly rude. I’ve never experienced service as bad as Sears Hometown of Butte. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for appliances and they have lost all future business from me and my family.
The guys here at Sears Hometown are just great. I had some washing machine issues and they got me squared away asap. William is very knowledgeable and helpful. I will gladly make the trip up to Butte to purchase all future appliances or lawn equipment from them. Thanks again guys!
Steep prices. Way too steep. The only noteworthy things going for this store is the delivery driver Gino who is an amazing person and the tool replacement warranty. The owner is a scumbag. He is rude to customers on a daily basis and treats his employees like dirt. One star. If I could go any lower I would.

Bought a refrigerator there. The one who sold it to me, and did all the paperwork, couldnt remember me three days later when I came to pick it up. And they charge $60.00 to deliver it in town. Home depot delivered my oven from Helena and set it up for free. Will not go there again.
My husband and I bought a new washer and dryer a month ago. The dryer stopped working just after we bought it and just before we needed to leave for Seattle for 5 plus weeks for a kidney transplant for him. I called the owner Brian, the day before surgery from Seattle. Brian assured me he would simply replace the dryer with a new one and he came thru just like a champ. He realized we had a defective dryer right out of the gate and stepped up to the plate to take care of our problem, being we were out of town, not adding to the inconvenience by jostling us with repair men and us trying to find someone to be at the house waiting for a person to show up.. His crew and him are very professional and polite. We will come back for any new appliance purchases in the future. Thank you Brian!
Price and warranty are great sales people are extremely pushy and want to force you into a lease or sale. Do not let them be pushy. Or just look elsewhere. As we will.

Not a place to buy had leased a washer and dryer.. (Go to arrons or rent a center) Big joke the kid we had sigh us with the machines didnt highlight that we wont have the items paid off without a mega payment. Then the lease says you wont own the items its a lease only.. Appreaciate that. Then he says return the item at anytime if we cant do the payments. Well thats a joke also they wont take the machines back. Never will return thats for sure.

Absolute worst experience I have ever had with any retailer. I bought a Craftsman Pro Series 54 Riding Lawn Mower in Butte in March. The very first time I had it out on 4/30/16, it ran for 30 minutes, and then it would not move. I towed it into my garage and called the local Sears, speaking to Bill. He said to bring it to the store for him to look at. 2 days later, I pushed the inoperable mower onto my trailer, and took it to the store. Bill was there and instructed me to take it to Sun Rental, as they were handling all of their warranty work. I took it to Sun Rental, where it sat for a week. Sun Rental then called me and said Sears would not authorize them to fix the mower as they were not authorized Sears repairmen. I told them to fix the mower anyway, and I would fight with Sears later. At this time, I called Bill at Sears, again, and told him of the situation. He said he would straighten things out and call me right back. I never heard from him. I called and left a message for Bill, three days later, that was unreturned. The following week, Sun Rental called once again and said Sears would not let them work on the mower. My wife went to Sears while I was at work and complained to them. I got a call from Sears stating for me to bring my mower back to Sears and they would order me a new one. The next day, I loaded my trailer, pushed my inoperable mower onto it, and hauled it to Sears on 5/18/16 where I spoke to Bill, once again. He had me offload the mower at the back of the store, with no assistance, and leave it. He said he would had ordered me a new 54 Mower to replace my defective one and that it would be in on 5/21/16 or 5/22/16. I called on 5/22 and was told the mower would be in on 5/25/16. I called Sears on 5/25/16 and was told the wrong mower had been ordered (42 instead of 54). They also said my replacement would be in on 5/31/16. I now have no confidence in Sears ability to service this mower, have been to Sears at least 6x and made at least a dozen calls to them. Nothing they have said they would do has been done! I still do not have a mower after a month, and my grass continues to grow. Horrible customer service, horrible experience, and overall a horrible store!I wanted to follow up with you, regarding my previous letter above. To date (6/14/16), I have had very positive service from Terry (Store Owner), regarding this matter. I received my replacement mower yesterday, received reimbursement for my mowing, and returned blades bought for the previous mower. Terry was excellent to deal with through these matters. I heard that Bill is no longer with Sears. He was the bulk of my problems, so I am not sad to see him leave. The service from Terry is what I expect from Sears, and I was very glad to see that it still exists.
