The worst service at the service department, I made an appointment for service they called me after 7 hours when I got my car it was not washed, tire pressure light was on and another light for emergency was on. This is a bmw 530e. You would think that the basics check will tire pressure light but they want to get rid of the car so fast that they didnt check the basic things. The service guy John took the car After I pointed all these things to him and Im Still waiting for my vehicle for 45 minutes after 45 minutes he brought it back and it still not washed very disappointed do not use at use Bob Smith BMW service ever again

If you lease your Mini, dont return it here you will get taken advantage of. Per the Mini Cooper Lease Return Guidelines, any ding / dent is acceptable as long as its under 2 inches. The lease coordinator Shane inspected my Mini and said I have many door dings on the passenger side along with a 4 crease. Thus, I was going to get a 300.00 bill. Knowing that dealerships typically charge way more than other repair shops I took my car to 3 different ding repair guys, all three could only find one door ding on the entire car and they all said it was well under 2 inches. So I emailed the General Manager of Bob Smith. All I got was that the lease coordinator says you have a 4 crease in your door and she is standing by her inspection. (see photo for the 4 inch crease) So I took it over to Valencia where two Mangers did an inspection. Manager - the car looks great, you have one door ding on the passenger side but its under 4 so we dont charge for that. I literally hugged the guy. Thank you sir for knowing how to use a ruler. Maybe the lease coordinator gets a kick back for every dollar she can get out of lease returns. Either way... take it to Valencia.Also, I did take my Mini for service at Bob Smith, I asked them to do a tire rotation... they wanted to charge me over 100.00, other Mini dealers the cost is 25.00. Just a heads up.

Working with Chris, Darren, (during build, ongoing communications and pickup), Rebecca (ongoing communications) and Drew (during pickup) was seamless every step of the way. This is the 3rd MINI I have purchased from Bob Smith, and even after reaching out to other dealers just to look at options, working with Bob Smith again proved to be an overwhelmingly positive experience. Their staff is caring, knowledgeable and customer-oriented. If purchasing a MINI in SoCal, do not go anywhere else but Bob Smith. I love my new 2020 Countryman :)

This was our first visit to Bob Smith, and they have earned our loyalty. Everyone was extremely friendly and competent. They have an efficient system so that from the moment you arrive until you pick up your car, you never wait. And to top it off, their space is beautiful. I dropped off my car but almost wished I was waiting for it so I could enjoy the amenities for a while!

These guys are awesome. We never felt a big sell. They were interested in what we really wanted and were fair and accommodating. We never got that icky car salesman vibe and ultimately got what we wanted for a fair price. They worked with us so that once we left with our vehicle, we were extremely happy and pleased with the outcome. Chris and Darlene are the best. We live near the South Bay mini dealership but it was worth the drive to have the Bob Smith dealership experience.

I just leased an awesome 2 door hardtop Mini Cooper S from these guys. Everyone there was wonderful and helpful. A special shout out to Christopher Conway the sales manager who leased me the car, and also to Robert (Rockstar) Justis who showed me how everything works and Karen the Finance Manager who was patient and showed me what I was signing and explained it. Im glad she offered me other upgrades to help with lease end costs and lo-jack if my car was ever stolen but never pressured me into anything. Drew also greeted me and was really helpful when I went to return my BMW to their sister dealership (also great folks and service). There was never any pressure, just top notch service. The worst dealership experience in all of my years of being a MINI driver - and a previous MINI customer Service Manager - having moved MINI from their own location under the roof of BMW obviously took its toll on the MINI service all around - tasks are not fulfilled and on top of all things a very personal item that I had left on my key chain was missing when I picked up my car - no apology- no comment of management - my phone is no longer linking to my car after it left the Bob Smith MINI service - I sent messages - wrote a Yelp review but zero reaction - what an arrogant attitude of a supposedly customer service oriented business - kudos to Bob Smith MINI for failing their job big time !

Yes they were nice to us all the time u we been customers but...When lease is over we pass the final inspection when we return the car gave them the 2 keys and left home .After few months collection company call and claim 600$ we owe the dealer !!!The reason was 1 key was missing !!! Thats a lie !We argue and more and In the final discussion with the manager at the dealer they change the fee from 600 $ to 385 $And this time they say we demege the rim, thats a lie !So thats was our experience at this dealership not happy at all !

Justin the Internet Sales Manager is easy to work with, very helpful and knowledgeable. He provided details information about the vehicle and made sure the experience is enjoyable. Its a common perception that bringing your car to a dealership results in higher quotes for repair - not here. Not only was the staff kind and helpful, but they were efficient and great with follow through. On top of that, the prices quoted for the repairs needed on my mini were in line with any third party quotes I received.Theyve earned my business going forward. Josh and Sue have always provided the best service! I have had my hardtop Mini Cooper S for 5 years now and have only taken it to Bob Smith Mini to be serviced. Theyre honest and always willing to work with me. Theyll tell me if something needs to be fixed right away or if it can wait, theyve helped me in any way they can to help me save some costs (be that recommending I get tires elsewhere or giving me discounts). Ever since Mini moved into the BMW facility the customer service towards me (as a Mini owner) has completely gone down hill. Ive been there twice since they merged and both times I have been made to feel uncomfortable and less than which I guess is because I dont have a BMW..? There are literally dozens of people standing around and everyone just stares at you instead of helping you. I walk in not knowing where to go or who I am supposed to talk to and feel like I get passed around awkwardly like I am a person they have to deal with. Its pretty obvious that the staff there is not happy about the merge as well from the way they act towards Mini people. Very obvious. After reading other reviews online, I know Im not the only one thats feels this way. I really miss the staff and the customer service at the old Mini location where I actually felt taken care of and proud to have a Mini. Its almost as if the BMW people look at Mini owners as if we wish we had a BMW but cant afford it but the reality is Mini owners love their car and got a Mini because they wanted a Mini! Thats my opinion and the impression that I get. After this last experience of feeling out of place or less than, I realized it wasnt just a one time thing or bad day since it keeps happening, but that going into that place is a truly an awful experience and I wont be going back!

The manager Tom was very accommodating and was able to give me the deal I wanted.When I got to the finance person Dan I was just as happy. BEWARE: Incompetent techs and team members summarize my continued experience. Hello Catherine,I have had my car into your dealership twice for the same issue. This last time the individual who checked me in did not document all of the details I provided and thus the service techs diagnosis was again not accurate. They stated the ignition coils had mysteriously lifted themselves up...even though your team was the last to install them after replacing the plugs 6 weeks earlier. Well, here we are again... this morning the Mini struggled to start on a cold start, smelled like fuel and then threw misfire codes for cylinder 3 (resulting in a check engine light). These are the same symptoms the last two times I have had it in the dealership. Just to ensure that somehow the ignition coil did not magically dislodge themselves again, I took photos when I picked up the mini from your dealership and immediately after the incident this morning. They are identical and the coils have not moved at all (I now have photographic evidence in case your tech does not believe me). Every single time the issue resides on cylinder 3 misfiring... and both the coils and plugs have been replaced.I am at a loss with how to deal with Mini at this point.Please do not respond with a canned response stating someone call the dealership if they want to discuss...that does not create a good customer experience. Take responsibility, proactively reach out to your customers, find a way to make it right. Those type of responses just highlight your staffs inappropriate methods if you are trying to retain customers and represent the intent of the MINI brand. Shame...Brian

Caveat Emptor.Bob Smith had run an ad saying, bring your BMW in, well give it a look over, tell you if it needs service and wash it for you. Good deal and a smart business move.They told me I needed to replace brake pads on all 4 wheels and quoted me $900 for the job. The advisor was pretty specific as he told me I had 3mm left in back and 2mm in front, so I needed to do it soon. The $900 sounded high, so I took it to an independent shop to verify.The quote I got from the independent was for $550. I was shocked when the independent told me I had 80% of the pad left in front and 90% in back. No need for new brakes anytime soon.Ive been going to Bob Smith for years, as my wife and I have owned 4 BMWs over the years. I will NEVER go back to them again.I should have known this dealer service was a scam when they were peddling fuel injector cleaner service. Cars dont typically need that type of service ever, as gasoline has become better. And yet, these guys are pushing it on cars that are 3 years old.

My lease was up in the next few months, but I wanted to purchase one this time. I originally got the lease in Long Beach. Since I moved, its too far for me. As close as Bob Smith MINI is to me, like everyone out there, I would still call different MINI dealerships in the area to compare prices and see what can they offer. After talking to a few salespeople, they all tried to make me go down to their dealership and were being very pushy which made me really uncomfortable. Finally, I found Richard Lloyd. He was outstanding, not pushy, responsive and professional. That is how he earned my business. He would talk to me over the phone and show me what can he offer even before I met him in person. When we met in person, he didnt try to shy away from what we already agreed.My new MINI arrived later than what we expected. It was really sweet that Richard even took a picture of the truck with my brand new MINI and said, guess what just arrived? That made my morning and I couldnt wait to get my car later that day. During the whole process, my husband and I couldnt be more happy with Richard.A lot of salespeople out there are just trying to make you go down and pressure you into getting a car. But at Bob Smith, Richard would go the extra mile to help you out.

The staff is friendly and welcoming, they take time to go over everything in detail and are also good listeners! Mixed emotions - they were really fast at checking in my car and having my loner ready. I am letting the time slide on how long it took them to fix my car (week) because we had to play phone tag. However, when I went to pick it up they couldnt find it at first and then didnt wash it. I didnt just have my oil change, i dropped a couple thousand and they still didnt was my car. Then to top it off the car is still having problems.

My service experiences at Bob Smith MINI have been excellent. My most recent experience in March 2014 with Josh Gates, Service Advisor, was no exception. Oil change, review warranty issue with convertible top (glass window abrasion wear) and car wash in less than 60 minutes! Thats service. Josh was also very helpful regarding advice on long-term warranty extension plans. 10s all aroundMy most recent service visit in April 2015 with Sue Bolger was also excellent. I was experiencing an intermittent electrical problem with my convertible top and alarm system. The service team isolated the problem to raising the convertible top when the engine was not running and advised me accordingly. Current service requirements were also evaluated and updated. My MINI was washed and I was on my way. Bob Smith MINI is the BOMB!Most recent service visit was December 6, 2017, primarily for engine light. Josh Gates, Service Advisor, always provides excellent service, scheduled needed maintenance & provided a loaner as well. Problem resolved & service completed in 1 afternoon.Bob Smith MINI is the best!

My service from the beginning was horrible. Since I didn’t have an appointment I was told that I Wpuld have to wait till the two people in front of me were checked in and this was at 8am when the service dept opened. Once the advisor was available she came over and did the inbound inspection and asked what the issue was with my car. I proceeded to show her the extended warranty paperwork showing that the issue my car was experiencing was covered under warranty and what I had come moneyed and diagnosed on the car. Please keep in mind I have over 25 years of equipment repair experience. She shunned the information and told me that the only way it would be covered under warranty is if the check engine light was on. I told her that’s the reason I’m here. She responded and said well leave that up to the technician. She never noted it on the service write up. Two days later she calls and lets me know the tech had diagnosed the issue and it will cost 1100.00 to fix. I politely excused myself and mentioned that this is the same diagnosed and alerted you about. This took your tech 2 days to figure out? Also this repair is covered under warranty, if you remember I presented the proper paper work at the time of check in but you didn’t want to listen to me. This advisor also never returned my phone calls or did I ever receive regular updates on the progress of my car. I had to keep calling until I got ahold of her, which I never did. I ended up speaking with the shop foreman to get the updates. Once the job was complete the same advisor called to let me know that now my turbo needed to be replace due to codes and this would fix all my issues. Again I spoke with the shop Forman to find out that my car issues were resolved and covered under warranty! Due to the mileage on the car he is recommending the turbo be swapped out. So I asked why the advisor told me it needed to be replaced due to logged codes. Well guess what. There were no logged codes and she was trying to up sell me a turbo. Look out for these guys. The will try cheat you out of non necessary repairs. Shame on you guys. My suggestion is to go to a different dealership for any service needs. Warranty or not.

I had a very good experience buying my Mini from Bob Smith in Calabasas. They offered me the best price after researching and shopping around each of the dealerships in the greater LA area. The car came almost a month earlier than I expected (took about 7 weeks), and was exactly as I ordered. Getting out the door was also painless, as they did not haggle with me price issues or too much additional garbage (they will offer the standard additional extras plans, though at least they didnt give me the whole guilt trip).Bottom line, friendly staff willing to be reasonable about pricing and wont haggle you to death equals great experience. I got exactly what I wanted.

It was late on a Saturday afternoon - after 5 pm. The warning light was on - I had a low tire. I drove into Bob Smith Mini in Calabasas. The service department was closing down - they stayed open - check out my tire - it had a nail - they gave me a loaner car - I was out the door in 30 minutes. Outstanding experience in the service department by Josh Gates. I purchased a used Mini from CarMax after having to downsize from my beautiful BMW X5. I had a few concerns and wanted the vehicle thoroughly checked in case I needed to return it. (I was also experiencing a little buyers remorse). From making my initial appointment to my arrival at the dealership, Josh put my concerns at ease and went the extra mile to ensure he answered every question as well as provide additional information I wouldnt think to ask. He also took the time to show me how all of the key features worked on the car even though I didnt purchase the vehicle from Bob Smith. I am in LOVE with my new Mini.
