For the third time, we have had windows installed by Caldwell Glass. This company provides excellent customer service with reasonable payment options. All staff, at the office, the estimator and the installers, are pleasant to deal with. The installers were respectful of our property and they worked very hard to get the job done. Thank you!

I have mixed feelings about my experience. I was very happy with everything until right before installation. I requested a quote on the entire house. Met with the installer to measure and go over the whole project. I got the quote and placed my order. I wanted to pay for everything before the end of the year for tax purposes, so I paid in full before anything was installed. I was informed about a week before installation that they missed 3 windows on the estimate and it would be another $1300.00 for those 3 windows. When I said you guys quoted the whole house and Ive already paid the full amount they said they were sorry, but I should have looked at the estimate to make sure everything was on the bid. Offered me $130.00 discount on a $4000.00 order. Very dissatisfied with their customer service. Windows are in and they have some scratches on the frames, I will definitely rethink using them again. Left everything very dirty! I work in sales and when a customer asks me for a quote and I miss something, thats on me... Not the customer!

I was told 10 business days and they would call me to schedule an appointment. I never heard from them some 20 days later and called the business. I got the run around for several days. I finally got a call back and got on the schedule for June 17th, 2020. They arrived late and my wife heard the installer, Chad, say he had not done one of these doors for well over a year.After the door and partition were installed, I found they were not measured correctly. I contacted Caldwell Glass and spoke to them. They advised they would not replace the door. They stated it was an issue with the tile. I told them the tile was installed prior to them measuring and that they measured wrong. Instead of remeasuring and replacing the parts, they found a Band-Aid for the problem. They did make some effort to fix the partition. However, they either measured the replacement glass wrong or used the old glass, as there is a very large gap on the back of the glass that they filled with silicone.I reached out to the owner Thad and he blamed their supplier and the tile for the issues. At the end of the day, he would not take responsibility for any of the issues. Ultimately, I filled complaints with the BBB and the Idaho Contractors Board over this situation.It appears Caldwell Glass came under new ownership at the beginning of 2020 and is not the same company the Treasure Valley once knew. I would NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY as you were likely by disappointed.Response to Caldwell GlassMr. Butterworth, I believe you have your information wrong. My contractor did set up the appointments to have your company come out and measure. I was here when your company arrived for the first appointment. There were setbacks and we had to reschedule the measurement appointment because the tile was not installed. Your installer was very clear the tile needed to be installed prior to him measuring to assure the measurements were correct. My contractor was here when your employee came out to measure for the door and glass the second time. My contractor told your employee what issues he had found so they could be accounted for. That is where my contractor’s part stops and I being to work with your company. So, there was no communication issue with my contractor and me. Nor is his work to be blamed, as all his work was done when your company measured.As for your expert, he told Chad that your company measured wrong, this was overheard by my wife.As for the photos I posted, this was acceptable quality of work for your company and had I not complained, this would have been the quality of work I would have been left with. Therefore, I feel the photos depict accurately the kind of finished product your company is willing to install.As for me looking at the finished product. I did indeed come in and look at the finished product with Chad. He asked me if the distance between the door and panel was what I was looking for and I told him it was. Again, your information is incorrect. It was only later I noticed the 1/4 “ gap on the back of the panel that was filled in with caulking.As for the real reason I am upset, it is not because you were unwilling to make an adjustment to my final bill. I am upset because it took over three months for my shower door to be installed and I am left with a product I did not order. I have a panel that was re-ordered that still does not fit correctly. I have a filler strip attached to my tile as a band aid for a door that was measured incorrectly by your company. In order for me to have the door replaced by another company so it’s correct, I would have to replace tile which would be costly, not to mention the cost of the new door.

Ive never had an issue with this place. Always friendly service and they do an amazing job for a smaller company. I just try to remember that you cant micromanage every employee and sometimes certain people dont have integrity and it looks bad on the company. I think you guys do great.

Caldwell Glass replaced all my basement windows. Not only was the price the lowest I could find, they were professional with the installs. I would and do recommend them to anyone needing windows.

We had a great experience here. A few months ago we had a screen door that needed the screen replaced... After it sat at another glass place for 5 weeks without even being looked at we went and picked up our screen door and drove right over to Caldwell glass. We drove away and 20 min later (our fault we thought we could run an errand or two before they could get it done... We were wrong 👍🏼) they called and it was ready. Perfect job and very reasonable price.We will be back for a piece of glass for our dinning table!!!

I have been using Caldwell Glass for many years. They have replaced windows on several rental properties of mine and have also replaced windows on my own personal residence. I will not use anyone else. They have always been on time and conducted a very thorough job. I have never had a tenant complain about their work and I have no complaints either. They are currently replacing 10 windows in my home and are still the same professional company they have always been. Thank you for all of your hard work!

My mother was extremely disappointed with the work provided by Caldwell Glass. The installer didn’t come with the right tools and attempted to use short screws to secure a window to the frame. Luckily my mother was overseeing the work and brought to their attention. Poor caulking job around inside/outside of windows. Not to the standard of a high quality window company. Pay more and get it done right!

Worst place ever customer service is Absolutely horrible quality is horrible. You give them measurements they reverse numbers and dont make it good wont even work with you to try to fix it. Pretty bad when you even take a sample of their screens to another local place and they even agree that the quality is horrible and the other business could not believe they would not work with you to make it work. Honestly do not use their business go somewhere where customer service and quality matter. Sad that you try to use a local place family and business and they do not want to work with you at all. I would honestly give them a 0 or negative if I could. Sad they wouldnt even try to work with us at all I went in 1st took them back explained they were wrong sizes. Sadly they were for my elderly aunt who we were doing a favor for. Customer is always wrong in their opinion they would not even consider and accept that she transposed the measurements When she took them over the phone. Never have I returned anything and had this type of experience. The worst

I have used Caldwell Glass for numerous projects. Anything from custom sized glass panels for homemade bookcases to 1/2 thick tempered glass to flatten my wet stones. They are always extremely helpful and very courteous on the phone. Always a good experience.

I wish they had a zero star option!! I have NO idea how these people have good reviews. Im still cleaning up glass, nails, and sawdust from my home. Glass in my kids room, where they play outside. They just ripped my curtains down. I found a hole in the sliding glass frame that wasnt there before. They broke my mirror and I just have to accept Ill never see it again with no payback of any kind. The guys were young guys that thought they were the coolest dudes in town. They were disrespectful and just gross. DO NOT USE THEM! If you want to be treated horribly and clean for a week straight, then go ahead and hire these clowns. Im sorry to say I didnt take more pictures of the glass in my kids room and play area, but I was more concerned for their safety. I did take a picture of just ONE of the huge piles of sawdust {or just dust} as the rude, rude, rude guy suggested. Glass, chunks of wood, and nails are not just dust! They had a vacuum with them, which I guess they chose not to use. Or maybe they could have put some plastic down. Theres a tip! Just trying to help a fellow person out. Im positive theyre not worth the money.

I was very impressed at the professionalism and timely manner my windows were taken care of. My experience started out with a free estimate and got better with an emailed guote with a follow up call to confirm I received the email. The prices were less than another place that came out and gave a promotional bid.

The first thing the crew did when they entered my home was rip the curtains down. They did a pretty quick job replacing the windows and left. Upon looking around afterward we discovered that they had left chunks of wood all over the place and we found several shards of glass in the carpet of our childrens room. They had also broken a mirror that had been in our family for years and slithered away without even letting us know, much less apologize for destroying our things. I would strongly encourage everyone to use another company.

This is what customer service should look like. More businesses should strive to have half the professionalism and customer service that Caldwell Glass has! I had a new windshield put in my 2015 GMC. Melissa was a pleasure to work with. She was prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable. A simple mistake was made on the install by forgetting the tint strip at the top of the windshield. Upon calling, Melissa called me right back and rectified the issue the same day. They even picked my truck up from my house and brought it back while I was at work. I have had my 2007 F350 Window shield replaced twice ta there shop. The service was fast, friendly. Was able to get a ride home after dropping off the truck for the day. Truck was clean and damage free when both windshields were installed with OEM glass. Worked with my insurance company on the paperwork side.

We have used Caldwell Glass on multiple occasions. They always have fair prices and get the work done quickly. They are friendly and professional, and I would definitely recommend them to my friends.

As the owner, I thought they did a wonderful job. They went the extra mile. Caldwell Glass fixed the broken glass but sometimes we have tenants that are very unthankful. They don’t pay rent or pay for repairs done to my properties. Some tenants have very bad entitlement mind set. They are disrespectful to my property by smoking inside nonsmoking apartments. Tenants complaints and reviews do not hold much weight when they are not financially responsible for the repairs being done.Keep up the great work, Caldwell Glass!!

Companies with fleet vehicles have a responsibility to safegard the public from those vehicles. A family member of ours was hit by debris off the back of one of their trucks and they are refusing to take accountability. Bad business practice if you ask me!

Got a chip in my windshield. Called around my area to check prices. Caldwell Glass was in my price range. Made the call and asked if I needed an appointment. Wasnt needed. so I went over to have the chip repaired. The impression that I got was they new what they were doing. I new better considering that the business that I was in. I didnt ask what they would do? and if they had repaired windshields before. They took my car to the back. I should have asked them to let me watch. And it took minutes to do. To quick for the resin to seal. So the windshield cracked the vary next day. I called them. They told me they would subtract the amount of the repair from a replacement windshield. Remember to ask questions before you have anyone work on anything. And if you know better, Take it elsewhere

I would give Caldwell Glass a zero rating if I could. Please read this entire post because I hope no one else has to go through what we went through. To begin with they are a family run business that takes no accountability and covers each other‘s butts rather than supporting the customer. They actually make excuses for their awful customer service, mess ups and they asked us if we were interested in buying the business. What does that say about their lack of commitment?!We are return customers as we chose to give them a second chance after they messed up our first project. Our mistake! Their second in command and lead foreman, Dave, spray-painted the brick siding on our house bright orange to mark where a hole should be dug in the ground for an egress window. When I asked that someone else besides Dave oversee the project I was told that our project would be delayed an extra two weeks because of my request. Then Todd, one of the owners, came out unannounced and started drilling holes in the side of our brick (not the foundation where he should’ve drilled) to mark where the hole for the egress window should be cut. He also sprayed more paint on more of the brick siding! When Acore, the cutting company, came on site they had to remeasure and lower the marking/opening for the window by almost 2 inches because where Todd had measured and drilled did not meet egress code. Up to this point we had paid over $2200 which was only half of the entire job. When I called and spoke with Clint, Todd’s dad and the other owner, Clint called me a liar on the phone about Acore and then told us we were being very difficult customers. He then told me we should just find someone else to finish up the job. We were able to get our windows from them but we still have to hire a mason and pay him to fix the brick that Caldwell Glass’s OWNER AND LEAD FOREMAN had destroyed without taking accountability and without offering to rectify the situation. I would NEVER recommend these people! I have no idea how they stay in business. Throughout this entire process Clint made excuses for Todd and we were never treated with any sort of respect or remorse for all the run around. It should also be noted that they have canned responses to other Google reviews (same response for multiple different negative reviews). If I ever treated customers this way I would expect the same sort of review. I would add photos but Google does not allow it....

Was quoted one price but failed to say that the quote didnt include labor. Was told everything would be done in 3 days... Two weeks later its finally ready. No apology no discount. Wouldnt recommend anyone use them
