Wish I could choose NO STARS. Warning to all potential customers DO NOT COME TO THIS PAWN SHOP. I’ve had multiple people I know come to me and tell me their bad experiences and being sold poor quality products. They sold me and my fiancé a fake wedding/engagement ring. The staff do not know what they are talking about or looking for when they examine jewelry. They are shiesty and not good for business.

Reviewed local pawn shops near calumet city an the reviews showed this was the best option. A musician so was gifted many Bluetooth speakers and have never used most. Literally still in original packaging. Altec Lansing mini lifejacket jolt speaker was asking 25 for a 60 speakers. Offered 15$. Wow

I have purchased several televisions countless amount of tools and 2 pieces of fine jewelry from this cash America never had one false incident always very helpful I have nothing but good things to say about cash America on a 159th street I will be back to purchase again

Went in jewelry was missing stones and they didnt know. Then they tried to charge me full retail after they noticed the missing stones. They treat you like crap

I Went in to replace a broken Xbox controller they sold me with my Xbox one s they gave me another controller and I left the store. after I got home I found that the replacement controller was broke I went back again told them it wasn’t working then they replaced the second broken controller. I again went home to play a game and the third controller was broken I went back to the store to request another controller that either worked or was brand new and was told they were out of controllers I asked the cashier for my initial controller back and was told that she had thrown it out...at that moment I believe a manager yelled out “if he wants it back give it to em”and I see him holding the controller in his hand ... the cashier then proceeded to go conference with him and came back and told me that the controller was sold. After this I asked for a refund for my controller and was told if I wanted a refund I would have to return my entire consol

Saw an ad on Craigslist for an item, call them and asked them to put it on hold. I spoke with Stephanie who said it wasnt a problem. She said she would be in at 1:00pm on the 8th of May and I told her that was fine as I wouldnt be able to get in until 2 - 3pm.So I call her before heading out just to confirm its still waiting for me. Its not. Her response? No Im sorry or anything else even remotely apologetic. Instead she appeared to know she was in the wrong and instead of getting yelled at by me she was going to beat me to the punch and blame me before I even got a chance to say anything.My question: I just want to verify its still on hold. Im about 45 minutes away. Her response: It most certainly is not. You were supposed to come in this morning. We just sold it.Ooooooooookkkk. Thats all fine and good only I know that I didnt tell her that I was coming in in the morning because she specifically told me what time she started work and I followed that up by telling her that was fine because I wouldnt be able to come in until later anyhow.Situations like this happen. I understand that. Its the attitude that you take when they happen that makes the difference. If she would have told me it was sold and apologized to me for the mistake I would be fine, disappointed but fine but to get on the phone with me, be abrasive and then try to shift her mistake onto me is just unacceptable. I hope Stephanie was just having a bad day. She just earned her store a negative mark though and for what? Because she couldnt be polite to a customer.

Poor communication I had my Apple Watch there for a pawn loan Ive been dealing with these people for a while and they give you a 7 day grace period on pawn loans. So I had my fiancé pay on my watch they said they took it out the system and put it on the floor for sale. I asked what happen to the 7 day grace period there response aww we are under new management. When were you guys going to notify your customers that your policy has changed and just up and sale there item. I will never use them again if I wanted to. I will be notifying corporate. I hate the way businesses are ran now a days. Its just sick smh
