Get a second opinion!First of all, I called and set up an appointment to get my car aligned and when I arrived they told me that they had to reschedule to the next week because the person who does their alignments wasnt in and I had been scheduled incorrectly.When I came in again to have the alignment done, they didnt call me to tell me when the vehicle was done, like I had asked, and it turns out they had apparently found an issue with my car that kept them from doing the alignment. I was told that I needed new front lower control arms and rear upper control arms on my Subaru. I was quoted $1800... which is outrageous. I spoke with my mechanic and his price for the job was around $900. I wanted to be sure that I really needed the new parts, since I wasnt experiencing any of the typical symptoms of worn out control arms. My mechanic, someone with decades of experience working on Subarus, looked at my suspension and found nothing wrong with the front control arms and the tiniest amount of play in the rear control arm joints. Definitely nothing that needed replaced right now. Im not sure if this is an outright attempt at ripping me off or unprofessionalism in another way but this is a warning to get a second opinion if they tell you work needs done, because either way, their prices are incredibly high.

Been going to Don Foshays for a few years now. These guys are great, thorough, timely, reasonable. Cant say enough good things about them. David helped me out this morning big time, have a trip coming up later today and a loose heat shield was giving me worries. Brought it in without an appointment and even though they were super busy they took care of me in less than an hour. Great place.

Recent visit re oil level concerns turned into a much appreciated experience for the additional conscientious service I received from technician John Galleger. After solving my initial problem, he chose to do further inspection and noticed a mouse nest which could have caused a very serious situation. He took time to clear the debris and check air filter, wiring, etc. Im so grateful for his efforts and for always considerate professional manager Dave. After much time spent it was all at no charge! I had an issue with a winter tire that was put on my car that did not match my other three tires. It was a special order and I was told it would match. When I had my Spring tires put on 3 weeks later the tire that I had bought, waited for and paid alot of money for was a completely different tire. I called the manager, Dave and he completely made it right and discussed how it could have happened. I highly recommend this place for integrity, honesty and good service.

Camden Don Foshays has the best customer service. Everyone is helpful and polite. The manager David takes time to explain the problem. I have been going here for many years.

On vacation in Camden my battery went funky -- needed a jump one day and then still acted up. I called on Monday morning, they made a spot for me at 11am, were ready for me, diagnosed the problem (bad cell), popped in a new battery in a very short time (including cleaning all the crud from the terminals). Everyone was professional and friendly, they were very considerate for my situation. Two thumbs up!

Dave took me right in and replaced a broken fastener that was causing a protective cover to hang down underneath the drivers side. No charge! Great service, professional manner, timely repair. THANKS!

These guys are very thorough, fast, and reasonably priced. Been here a couple times and will return. Most recently came in with a missing clip in the undercarriage splash guard and the manager replaced it w/in five minutes--and did not charge me. Who does that? Great guys.

I had a serious unexpected issue with my brakes and ball joint/control arm. Derek and Dave got me into the shop the same day- when everyone else in the area had at least a one week wait. They did quality work, updated me on some other issues that needed to be resolved and I was back on the road, in my safe, inspected truck within 24 hours. Don Forshays in Camden Maine is where I take my car. It has been my go to for many years (Ive had Volvos and Honda). Dave is the manager who is so nice, helpful, attentive and knowledgeable as are the mechanics who also work there. I recommend them highly!

I wish I could give six stars. Our tire air pressure was low so we stopped by to get some air. It was 40 minutes past closing but someone was still there. He found a puncture in the tire and fixed it right then and there, long after he had any obligation to do so. After he was done we couldn’t pay him because the shop was closed for the day and we didn’t have any cash, so the whole service was done for free. I didn’t think to ask his name, but whoever was closing on July 2, 2021–he deserves a raise!

Sending a big thank you to the gentleman at Don Foshay’s in Camden that helped me out tonight - after closing nonetheless - and me waving him down in the parking lot! My wiper blade had broken off when I went to leave work during an ice storm, and I took a chance to swing in there before calling AAA and having to wait in the dark and cold after an already long day. He was about to pull out when he saw me pull and in flash my lights at him. He happily helped me with no hesitation. Small town USA at its best!

Picked up new tires for my truck elsewhere. Everyone was booked up for at least a week. Brought the loose wheels to Fosheys in camden on a Saturday morning. Dave said if I dropped them off he would make sure to get them done. They closed at 12. He called me at 1:25 said they were done. Couldn’t ask for any better service. Dave did exactly what he said he would to take care of me. I’ll certainly bring my business back there!!

While traveling hundreds of miles away from home in August, we got a concerning check engine light on our Honda Pilot right before our planned return trip home at the end of the week. Dave and his colleagues were very helpful in checking things out and helping us make decisions about traveling. Dave went above and beyond and did honest work. He really bent over backwards to help us out. Thankfully we made it home safely and got the main issue (known to Honda for this model) taken care of at the dealership.

Came in for an oil change, guy at the desk was rude, and not at all helpful. Asked if I had a reservation. All the bays were empty!

We went in on a late afternoon needing new tires and a wheel alignment as an emergency before a road trip. They made it possible for us to be serviced that evening and to have the car ready the next day for us. The car actually need a new ball joints as well but the car was still ready the next day. They were very nice and I appreciated the wonderful service!

Had made an appointment a few days prior to have an alignment done at 8:30am, went to pick up vehicle at 1pm and was told I had to wait another hour to have it done as there was an apparent miscommunication and my vehicle had fallen through the cracks. I just bought a new Jeep and brought it in for new tires and rims I wanted something that drove more like a truck tire verses a car tire. Ive been a customer of this shop since it opened in Camden and they have never let me down. Ive never arrived and had to wait for my appointment. My two vehicles are in and out in a very timely manor. Work done is always top notch. Service manager and assistants really know their job inside and out on all aspects of vehicle repair not justtires.

My 2011 Mercedes failed state inspection due to tires at their Camden location! Store policy is to replace all four of my high performance AWD tires for a tune of $1350. Brought my car to a different state inspection location and my car passed! A tire company failing tires to sell more tires!! Smells like a SCAM to me! Very unethical! PUBLIC BEWARE!!

Prices are in line with other chains but really good about doing any needed work even if not their original job. Friendly and make an effort.

Anyway I want to share how amazing these people are.On a family trip along the coast of Maine, the muffler of my car broke and was completely cut off the rest of the exhaust system. I arrived in Camden when the garage was about to close. The guy (the name is Dave I think)still took the time To look at my car. The news were bad as he could not get the parts before several days. It was easter weekend. He told me to come the next morning and see what he could do. Next morning was very busy and open only until noon as it was saturday. As there was no possibility to have replacement parts, the guys there managed to find some pipe sections and weld them so they could reattach the muffler and make it safe for me to drive and go on my family trip.So a huge thks guys, I know that day you finished working way after your scheduled shift, me and my family are really grateful that you litteraly saved our entire trip.Amazin place and people ( oh yea and also the price
