The employees were very nice and even though I spoke little to no Spanish they totally got my order right!!! I will be back very soon ! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Well Ive eaten there once before years ago, I dont remember my experience.Lately Ive gotten orchata and it hasnt tasted fresh or as good as it usually is at other places.

Over all food is ok, my concern is the at this time when I walked in the servant didn’t wear a mask not only that when people leave the table they don’t sanitize the table and chairs so disappointed the way this pandemic is handled here I will definitely won’t come back, no control a all, I don’t recommend this place don’t care about your health.

Good food in town.

A group of friends and I found one of the best Mexican food restaurants in Camden! The location was a little off of the beaten path and a little difficult to find for those of us who aren’t native to Camden, however, the delicious food that we found while there was completely worth every minute of the extra time that it had taken to find the place. If anyone in the S. Jersey area wants great food and amazing horchata you should take the time to find Taqueria La Calpeña at 300 N. 27th Street in East Camden, NJ!!!The food was relatively cheap as well, especially considering how great their tacos were! I ordered three tacos for $2.50 a piece before asking for extras. Of course, I had to ask for specialty tacos and asked to have nopales added. Nopales, otherwise known as a prepared and cooked cactus, is a delicacy among the culture and one of my favorite things to add to tacos. There’s no need to worry you won’t be pricked by any thorns. The staff here know what customers want and are careful to avoid doing anything to make customers dissatisfied.My friends and I from Rutgers-Camden University truly had a good experience while visiting their establishment. Taqueria La Calpeña is a children friendly restaurant with plenty of seating. There was a large family there during our visit and everyone seemed very happy with the service as well as the meals that they were served. Laughter echoed throughout the dining area during dinner. Personally, I enjoyed giving them my business so much that I will more than likely be stopping in often.The business has at least one flat screen television that was tuned in to a Spanish soap opera that played while we ate. Both friends that I had went there to eat with had not tried horchata before and I asked them if they wanted to give it a shot. They did. I’m certain that they will be trying the sweet, milky drink on their own again soon judging from their smiling reactions to the new refreshing drink that inspired their taste buds to respond with pleasure! The food was so amazing that no one had left anything to waste. We all asked for take-out boxes so we could enjoy the remainder of our meals from the comfort of our homes later that evening!Give the place a shot if you are ready to enjoy one of the finer Mexican dining restaurants in Camden.-Tony Ceballos

First time there. Great food

The atmosphere is very calm the service is really good and organize. Food prices are extremely low compare to other Mexican restaurant in the area I love that I dont have to wait so long too get my food and their natural juices are delicious everything is really good quality the tacos AL pastor and the burrito hit the spot every single time. I also like that is secluded from the other businesses the area feel safe it doesnt feel like the busy area of Camden

The food was delicious and so worth it. One of the best restaurants that serves Mexican dishes in Camden. Food was really great and comes with cheap prices. I like the staff. Knows how to please the customers but not overbearing. All I can say is great! Everything was a great experience! Left the place with a clean plate and a very satisfied stomach.

On Tues 3/10 around 12pm, I enjoyed an EXCELLENT chicken burrito during my lunch break between classes. There was plenty of parking available across the street and the service was super fast, even with a steady lunch-hour crowd! Our food came out hot and it was delicious. I look forward to going again and bringing some friends who would also enjoy the authentic Mexican food!

Excellent Food! Reminds me of having Tacos from a Taco Stand in Tijuana. We are from San Diego and have been looking for an authentic Taco Shop, we found it. Not the best neighborhood, parking was a problem. I guess they also have a Taco stand at the Columbus Farmers Market.

All their food is delicious ! from the tacos, cemitas, quesadillas and just all dishes are amazing. they fill you right up and you want more !

Food is good but when you order for pick up, They promise the time but always take 30 minutes more and not enought salsa specially when you order more than 10 tacos, beware if you plan to eat inside there is no AC only 2 fans.

My cousin and I went to the restaurant on Saturday for lunch and we had chicken quesadillas which were very good. We ordered our food and within five minutes we received our meal. The woman who greeted us when we walked in was very friendly but one of the serves seemed to be having an off day.

The service is fast, the tacos of carnitas are rich although not so much those of alpastor.

It is not what we expected but it was not too bad, customer service is a little slow, they can improve that aspect, the. Taste and seasoning also fall short compared to other restaurants.

I asked for a semita I ate half and I was going to eat the other half and I wore a hair, he followed the waitress, I retired, I told myself he does not want anything else, I said no thanks and he still charged me for the half semita that I ate, can you believe that?

Not such a good place for the carnitas, they say they are carnitas, they are pure leather and very badly sewn, even in the studs the stench of the leather feels like when you wash it or clean the leather, and also it does not have meat, it does not have solid . And so it cannot be called carnitas. This is called leathers. And raw hides
