I brought my SUV in with a serious water pump issue. Even though they were swamped with scheduled work they took my car in and placed it on their work schedule. Three days later the car was completed and running like new. I highly recommend Renson Automotive!

(since my car was still under warranty) I was at Toyota hoping they could at least identify the problem with my fuel tank. With them turning me away because they would have to take my car overnight before they could even have someone take a look at it to see if they could do anything for me.I promptly called Renson. It about 4pm on a Thursday unable to get into my fuel tank and I was suppose to head out of town the next day. After trying to explain my situation over the phone, Bill said, get down here as fast as you can with all your spare keys and well take a look.Within minutes of pulling in Bill himself came out to take a look and identified the problem.He looked up the part he needed, it was in stock! He had it for me the next day before noon! I took my car back over, and without exaggerating I checked in, got the part installed, and paid in under 15 minutes!!They all did it with smiles, the office team knew exactly what I was there for when I walked in, there was no waiting around to be helped, in out and taken care of!My car was still under warranty which is why I went to Toyota dealer first. I have always had Renson work on my cars in the past and will continue to take this car there, and this is why- they are no B.S., they genuinely want to do what is right for you and your vehicle, and arent looking to charge you an arm and a leg for it either.THANK YOU RENSON TEAM!

I had been experiencing brake issues with my 2008 CRV, which I have owned for five years. I had taken it to various reputable auto repair shops, including Honda, and they could not find the problem. There were other minor issues going on with the car, including a recent issue with the VSA lights going on intermittently. I received the best service ever at Renson Automotive. They were very thorough and found the problem with the brakes and took care of all of the error codes. I drove home with confidence that my vehicle was running at its ultimate best. I received great communication from Charles as to what was going on with the repairs. The shop was very clean. As a woman, I always feel a bit intimidated going into auto shops, knowing they could try to pull the wool over my eyes. I was well informed and charged fairly for the repairs and time spent on my vehicle. I have found my go to shop for my vehicle. I am very, very pleased.

I’ve been going here for a number of years. It was a referral from a friend who’s been using them for 10+ years.I feel comfortable dropping the car off here because I know it’s not a bait and switch operation. They are always upfront about the quotes and will lower it if the allocated time was not used up. They aren’t the cheapest in the area but I feel you are getting honest work. Staff is quite knowledgeable and friendly. You get what you pay for.On the last visit, they noticed a mistake on previous visit and OWNED up to it. I didn’t have to get in a argument and they were to first to acknowledge the mistake. They changed the quote and I paid for materials. They aren’t afraid to provide solutions if you want to do it yourself too.I’ve been recommending this place to other friends.

Absolutely recommend Renson Automotive. Back story - my husband met Charlie Sept 2017 when he accompanied a friend taking a car in for a problem. Charlie did some research and found that the problem was a recall problem and told our friend to take the car back to the dealer. My husband and friend were impressed by Charlies professionalism and said if ever I need auto repair work this is absolutely the place I would come.Today it was my husbands truck (2021 - 4 years later) that he thought needed a brake replacement. Charlie called this afternoon and said the brakes were in great shape and definitely safe. The squeaking sound that was heard was due to accumulated dirt. Rensons cleaned up the problematic area and happy ending.Also, the young man at the front desk who greeted us was welcoming, professional and efficient. The complete experience was amazing.

Our mechanic, Al at Cunninghams in Los Gatos, retired. He recommended Renson Automotive. I have gone twice and have been happy with the service. This last time I took my car in for an intermittent sound my brakes were making. They were able to replicate it and identify the problem!

Wow - they turned away work to save me money! They researched an issue and let me know that the manufacture would cover the repair under a Service Bulletin. This meant I could take the vehicle to the dealer, mention the service bulletin, and the dealer would repair it at not cost to me. This built a great deal of trust. This kind of customer service is near impossible to find. Highly recommend this team.Customer service was outstanding. The were open, honest, and knowledgeable about the issues.

For all my vehicle needs, I come to Renson faithfully. I have been utilizing their services since 2019 and from the first visit to now they have consistently provided exceptionally quality, fast and, I can’t stress enough, friendly professional service!

My alternator was going out on a Saturday, but I wasn’t able to call Renson until Monday morning. Monday morning came and I called first thing in the morning, they said bring it in ASAP and they would do their best to give the car back ASAP. Once again Renson came to the rescue and had my car ready and driving by 5 pm! In almost the 10 years that I’ve been seeing them they have always gone above and beyond in doing the best possible to give me a quick turnaround and keep in mind my budget. Thank you for taking care of me and my cars !Update 3/2021Once again Renson had cine to the rescue. They were able to bring back to life my fathers car and on top of that add on lights to his trailer so that he could hitch it to his car. Pretty bad place I have to say. As a mechanic I wanted to see what services they provide just to get an idea on how they scam people. First they charge you for a check up, A CHECK UP, which should definitely not be charge. That’s the first scam there. Second they make sure they break something first that is easily repairable but will overcharge you for labor and parts. Lastly they’ll recommend you to fix something else that is completely fine. Whatever it is, I’d suggest you check it yourself before deciding if you want them to flush any fluids out.

Everyone I talked to at renson was super helpful and they never once tried to make me feel like I didnt know what I was talking about. Some mechanics dont really listen to what you think, I felt like they listened to me and collaborated to make the whole process extremely smooth.

I was so impressed with Charlie my service rep and the professional service that we received from Bill. I think one of the main things I noticed was that I am very analytical and I like to ask questions. I am very grateful to have found this shop. I wanted to get my low mileage 10 year old Honda fully inspected. Robert was patient with my list of questions on our initial call. It was clear he was a good guy.Charlie (who has many years in the industry, especially Honda’s) helped me figure out what to do and what not to do. They inspected more things than I imagined and refunded some estimated time. After this experience, I brought the car back for alignment, glass seal repair and small dent removal. They had everything done on site so it was one stop for me. It feels great to just have a mechanic that you trust that does good work.Bill has the right recipe. Since I started going to Renson’s Automotive in summer of 2019, they have been exceptional. The value is in being treated with integrity, honesty and quality workmanship. They don’t pressure you to do more than you ask, but they do point out things that should be tended to for safety. I’ve asked twice for a brake inspection, expecting an advisory for replacement. Both times, they said the brakes are fine. I like great news like that.

I have been using Renson for over 25 years for regular service and repair for my cars. The first car they regularly serviced was a 1988 Plymouth Voyager. When I finally gave it away to a missionary, he had it inspected and said the engine ran very clean. It was in really good shape, over the years, I actually wished I had kept it. The latest project they worked on for me was a 1974 Mercedes 230 that I inherited. It was sitting in a garage for many years. After having it towed to them, they systematically went through all of the issues (and there were many of them) and were able to get the hard to find parts, often coming from Germany. They gladly accommodated my request to take pictures of the project as it went along. They test drove it many times to make sure it was safe. Bill even took me on a short test ride to let me know what to expect. It is a blast to drive, with the 70s engine sound. I was really please with the acceleration and braking for this car. Bill, his staff, and mechanics are always friendly, pleasant, and informative. I have highly recommended Renson to my friends for quality and trustworthy service.

I’ve been having issues with a used car I recently bought from Carmax abs used repairpal to find Renson. They diagnosed my problem and also discovered that I was still u set warranty so advised me to take it to the dealership and told me exactly what I needed to tell them so they could fix my problem. I appreciate their honesty and helping me so I didn’t have to pour more money into this car. I definitely will come back whenever I need any of my cars to be serviced, can’t beat the quality and honesty here! I believe it was Robert who helped me.

They were able to get me on the schedule for a 120k service the very next day, they helped me arrange a car rental with the nearby Enterprise at a discounted rate, they charged a very reasonable price, they use text messages and sent me copies of the inspection report electronically (which I LOVED), they very honestly told me that I did not need the brake service that I suspected I might need, and they were very flexible with dealing with my schedule (which required dropping off the car the previous day). In particular, I found Charlie to be super friendly, knowledge, and very helpful. Thanks for a great experience and I will definitely be back.

Bill, Charlie and Fiona are always very professional and follow through with great communication. They are upfront about what is a priority repair and what you can leave as a discretionary repair further down the road when you have gotten the most use of of the parts or it is not dangerous.

Everyone here is courteous friendly and professional. My experience with them always involves excellent clear and timely communication to update me on the status of a repair, the time it will take for parts to come in, or to notify me that work has been completed. I am never left feeling like I dont know what is happening with my own vehicle. Lastly, every repair done on each of my vehicles by the team at Rensons has always been done correctly the first time. Replaced A/C panel on top of tune up. Tough decision to make on a 2000 Accord, and Charlie walked me through the pluses & minuses. Since, check engine light came on; needed fuel injector service and an O2 sensor. Tricky to judge end of life on an old car!

Renson continues to offer superlative service. Even though they had no appointments available, I brought my car in to leave it with them for next available appointment. They managed to look at my car that day and diagnose my problem and had it done in one day. Better than most! Actually ... better than everybody.

I brought my 2013 for c-max in for a wheel bearing replacement. I was originally quoted 2 hours to diagnose the problem. When i went to pay my bill, they had noted that they did not use the full time quoted, and they deducted that from my bill. I was very happy with my first interaction here. They are not the cheapest place to take your car, but in no way shape or form do you feel like you are being taken advantage of, or feel like you being miss lead. I will 100% be bringing my car back here for service. I would highly recommend them to anyone i know that is looking for a mechanic.

We are so happy we recently found Renson Automotive! And with the level of expertise that Renson’s has given us in working on our 2001 Toyota Tundra! We moved to Felton Ca. 3 years ago . We own 4 vehicles and have tried 3 repair shops from Scott’s Valley to Santa Cruz . It has been a disappointment to see the level of unprofessional and disregard for the work, and diagnosis of different problems on our vehicles. The shops we had encountered had high reviews but some were dishonest or just didn’t know what to do. Even after spending our hard earned money and still they were not able to repair our vehicles!But after more research I called Renson and it was worth the drive from Felton Ca to get AMAZING and PROFESSIONAL Service!!My husband and I were so glad when they called us with in a day of diagnosis and patiently explained and answered questions about repairs that would need to be done. I have a 1966 Ford Mustang, which had been garaged for 5 1/2 years before taking it into Renson. They worked so hard and so well getting it back up and running that youd never even know it had been off the road for so long. Really, the service was top notch--easily the best experience Ive had with people working on my car. They were so thorough and so dedicated to getting it back up and running and safe for the road that Ill be coming back here for years to come. They really deserve 6 stars. Our car needed a part that the manufacturer doesnt make anymore. After they were able to locate a part in Utah, but they sent the wrong one. They didnt give up and after a couple days found the part. The car is as good as new. I cant thank them enough. They also kept in touch the whole time, thats something the dealership never does.

Had timing belt and other work done a few months ago. I don’t drive very often because I’m out of town for work a lot and I work from home when I’m in town. The check engine light came on and started running rough a couple months after the service. I took it in and it was low on oil. They filled it up which fixed the problem. After my next trip out of town coming home from the airport - running rough again. I check the oil and two quarts low! I took it in again and Renson diagnosed as a failed seal they had replaced during the last service. So they did all of the work for free, under warranty. It’s so nice to have found an honest mechanic! Highly recommend!

This was my first visit to Renson having been recommended by a neighbor. I took my car in for trmansmission service and trouble shooting on my A/C. They found an issue with the A/C system and replaced needs parts and refilled Freon. They showed my photos of what was done and why it was necessary. Very professional and thorough. Highly recommend them.

Ive been trusting my car with Renson for several years. Always professional, with the highest integrity. They never over-promise, but always over-delivery. The most recent issue (an SRS failure) turned out to be an unaddressed recall issue. Renson could have easily fixed it and charged me, but advised me to let the dealer perform the recall work.

Renson Automotive is wonderful! I had just moved to the area when my car needed service. As a single girl, it can be intimidating to go to the machinic out of fear you can get taken advantage of. However, the Renson staff was so helpful, warm and welcoming. They explained everything in great detail and worked very hard to make the necessary repairs while keeping my budget in mind. They also worked with my warranty company and the Ford dealer to cover the parts that had bulletins out on them. I was also so impressed with the cleanliness of their shop/garage. They are definatly a business ran with excellence, honesty and integrity. I am so thankful I found them and equally happy with the service they performed on my car.
