We used to enjoy shopping at Big Lots because things are definitely reasonably priced and there would always be a few surprises that would be kind of fun. We hadnt been there of course in a year and when we went the other day we were shocked to see just how much the prices have gone up.Typically we put Grocery Outlet and Big Lots on the same level as being fun places to shop and save some money. Thats definitely not the case for Big Lots anymore. So where it was before a decent sized store with good value, now they are a small store with more expensive goods. In fact the things like paper plates and paper cups were expensive and the exact same ones we could purchase, same brand, at the Dollar Store.

More new items every visit at very affordable price. Not mentioning the usual coupons you get for even more discount! Very nice and friendly cashiers. Quick and easy checkout. Very well stock and organized

Good prices in general. It rather difficult to figure out the prices on many items. Many shelf tags don’t match the items above. I was there on a Friday and an item wasn’t on the shelf. I was told that they had it in back, but I’d have to wait until Monday when they stocked the shelves.

This Big Lots has a better selection than the other locations Ive shopped locally and is generally well stocked. During a recent trip they had a good selection of gluten free flours (ie coconut, almond, casava) and also a number of sugar alternatives (ie monk fruit, coconut). They also had Himalayan sea salt and a variety of other products for special dietary needs.However, be warned: though the staff is nice, frequently its hard to find someone on the floor if you need help, and checkout be tends to be very slow. My last visit took more than 8 minutes even though there was only one person ahead of me. Id say inadequate staffing at the cash register is true at all the Big Lots Ive shopped at.

I went looking for a canopy or beach umbrella. I did buy a beach umbrella and work perfectly. They have plenty of stuff for your home, pets and I mostly like the decorations they have for holidays.

Saralupe helps me out everytime with a smile and extremely helpful advice on the items I get. This woman needs way more recognition because she has a personally that is so rare nowadays she is never in a bad mood and is always ready to assist with any question you may have !

BIG Lots was not bad, but they could use a little work on guiding customers on where the checkout line are supposed to be formed. Doing this will eliminate the aggression with customers. Also, with everything happening, I realize the merchandise would be at a low quantity but shelves were bare(so 😥).... but the cashiers were nice!!

All associates were welcoming. Found what we were looking for at a reasonable price.

This is a good place to find bargains, but this time of year it is extra special. They have so many Christmas decorations, wrapping paper and gifts available, and all at prices other stores simply cannot beat. I went in there for two items and came out with a good deal of my Christmas shopping done. Two big thumbs up.

Had a nice guy help me look for a chair mat i came in for specifically. Also told me when to call back to see if more came in the dollowing week. Always a helpful and friendly store.

My boyfriend and I came into the store and were ignored by both employees who seemed more invested in their own conversation than customers. The vibe we picked up on was that engaging with these employees would be like pulling teeth, so we left and decided to buy from Mattress Firm on Broadway, where the employee gave us his full attention and was invested in making sure we found exactly what we were looking for.

Big Lots has some good deals, but their regular stock items are out of stock too often. I went shopping for 3 regular stocked items, they had 1. One item Ive been looking for has been out of stock for the last 2 months.

Staff is ALWAYS so friendly and helpful. Seems like they always have just what you need and cant find anywhere else.

Its hit or miss, my baby Bela likes the cat supply selection...on the other hand there was no hair product at all what-so-ever. No moose...no gel...I even asked an employee? How is this possible? Awe well she was very helpful and I found lots of other deals. Overall good, but remember some items are great bargains and others not so much

Big Lots is a great place to find relatively inexpensive storage containers. Ive also found small size containers of things like cranberry sauce and other condiments. These are really handy for items that I dont use very often and hate to throw away.

The cashier was really nice and efficient. He offered me a discount just because I work in a Health Clinic.

The customer service is really good here they only flaw that they have is they are always out of everything and the shelves are always empty like they are going out of business Really not a place you want to go to if you are looking for something in particular

Ok experience. Decent prices but some items are on wrong shelf so prices not always clear. Buyer be ware. As usual, out of stock on a random cross section of things... Thats why I dont go here often...

However unfortunately for today when I asked an associate for assistance in finding an item that seemed to be out of stock @ the front of store display, she replied well I dont know Im not even on the clock no more whatever the case her response and attitude lacked customer service.

Bought a bunch of items from this location. Actually bought a couch and noticed the room seemed a little bare, so returned the next day and purchase a matching chair among other household items. Great prices and helpful staff. 5 stars if I was reviewing on those two visits. The problem Im having is one of the mugs in my dish set was shattered. I knew i had purchased the last two boxes of this style and color, but wanted to call to see when theyd have more or what other big Lots may have the same in Stock.When I called the lady didnt let me finish explaining why I was calling. She wanted to know what the item name and number was and then put me on hold for quote a while. Came back and let me know they didnt have anymore in Stock. When I attempted to explain to her that I had bought the lady twowas calling to see if she could tell me what other store had this color in stock she got really rude saying i can give you the number to another store but Im not calling other stores for you and calling you back ALL SNOTTY and hung up on me. I called back and asked to talk to a manager AND SHES THE MANAGER!? CHRISTINE!She hung up on me before I could explain what I was calling for. I was transferred to her this was 1:50pm Jan 7, 2017. She said, I didnt hang up on you, I said good bye and said that shes off work now AND HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN!

I really would like to thank the cashier whim i forgot to ask her name and the manager i believe i may have heard her name but i could be wrong but im guna say terri if im wrong sorry well she helped me out alot with my purchase apparently something went wrong and she actually fixed it they way it was supposed to be and i really would like to thank her for that now my man can sleep a goods night rest without his back hurting him i would have been so mad if they werent able to honer the online sale but it worked out perfect now its all cuddles for us yeah again thank you two both of you ladies a happy customer

Really want to love this location, I mean, its a Big Lots youve seen one youve seen them all.... Right??? Great stock, with a fridge/freezer section (which others dont have). They actually had the dinette set I wanted in stock, but I decided not to purchase there (and wait for the Parkmoor location) due to the shoddy customer service here. Was told the person running furniture was on break so Id have to wait even though there were a plethora of employees all around.. I quickly learned most were Spanish speaking and the rest seemed to cater to regulars with small talk. Cant say I wont be back, but I definitely wont look to this location when dropping more than a few dollars.
