I shop at this store quite a bit and it amazes me that the staff doesnt know where things are. I just find things on my own now. Yesterday was one for the books. Obviously, he was a new employee and hadnt been trained. He really didnt have a clue to what he was doing. His manager was no help. Im out. The location is handy but not worth the trouble.

What can I say Its a hometown Ace hardware. These guys have great customer service and no other stuff. They typically have what Im looking for on hand. Its definitely a go-to place when youre working on things around the house!

One employee acted as though I was a burden, like I had no idea. Tall, thin,bad attitude. Would never work in my employment. Talk to the Spanish gentleman. He goes way beyond to please you.

On our way to Palo Duro Canyon State Park, the bedroom window of our fifth wheel camper shattered and blew off. Not sure why, maybe a stone. Managed to arrive at the campground safely. The weather was expected to change for the worse the following afternoon so I made a materials list that night and early the next morning drove into Ace Hardware. Both gentlemen were so friendly and helpful. WOW, exceeded my expectations. They cut a full plywood sheet to my specific specifications, then walked me through the store and helped me find everything on my list. Window is now patched and weatherproof while I await parts from the manufacturer. I would strongly recommend Ace Hardware, Canyon Texas.

2 young men working.....i went in to buy weed eater.....employees dont have too much knowledge of products.....live in hereford, employees here also the same.....need more training....the girls in Hereford were nice n friendly n the guys in canyon not so much....

Staff is courteous, welcoming, always close by willing to help and answer questions. 4 stars is because recently simple basics like mutipurpose use items have not been in stock simple things like sponges.

My girlfriend was told she would have to order parts for her older mower. Her son had made several calls and searches. I told her to wait, went to Ace, and found the parts in 10 minutes. Youll likely find what you need.

My wife purchased 2 - 10’ 1/2” pvc pipes from here.These aren’t expensive. Likely less than $5 each.I needed a different size pipe and a few other items. I didn’t have the receipt. They would have come out making at least $5 in sales. More considering their mark- up.I was told “ no receipt, no return.”I live in Canyon and would prefer to keep my business local, but when your dumb policies can’t keep up with the times and technology, then the “... no return” part definitely applies.I’ll go out of my way to do business elsewhere.

The staff is normally moody. If you know exactly what you are looking for and dont mind spending the time going up and down ilse looking for said thing, then this is your store.

Great local hardware store! If you need a few things and don’t want to drive all the way to Amarillo- this is the place. Expect to pay slightly more and have less options, but they definitely come in handy!

Pricy, but they had what I wanted, and were open.

Most of the employees are nice but management here leaves little to be desired. Its a good place if you dont have time to go to a larger store. Thats about it.

Went there yesterday to get some info about ceiling paint and lady was most helpful. Went today to make my purchase after measuring and the gentleman was most helpful in helping me chose supplies and getting the paint.

Good store. Some items are slightly over priced, but it beats driving to Amarillo. The store is convenient.

Canyon is such a small town that Ace is a welcome place to visit and get inspiration for all the home improvement projects youve been wanting to do but have been putting off.

They have almost everything you can think of here. Well stocked and organized. If you dont see what you want, just ask. Chances are they have it.

Good inventory of hardware but not building materials. Most of the employees at the register are friendly but I cant say the same for the management. It is extremely frustrating to be standing in line for some time at the only open register and have the manager walk up and look at the person behind you that just got in line and tell them that theyll help them at the service desk while youre left waiting in line. Anyone with any clue about customer service should know that in that situation you should offer to help the next person in line first.

Every time I go there, I ask for help finding my items, and they are always very knowledgeable.

Horrible customer service. If you go don’t expect to be asked if you need help. And if you need paint you will have to wait most of the time, that or they will be out of the base.

I was very appalled by the return policy by Ace. The manager claimed that he was unable to take merchandise back because we didnt have the package it came in. This was a week after being used and finally deciding that it was faulty.He did take it back after some heated words to which at last he told his associate to smash it with a hammer...Unbelievable...Will no longer trade with this store....

The items are not always in the right place but you can eventually find what you are looking for, just do not expect an employee to help. I have been ignored twice by a passing employee on their phones.
