This accounts girlfriend, me and my boyfriend have gone to multiple Jamaican places now since I am Jamaican myself and I love the food. This is probably the most authentic place in all of Florida. Its delicious and I can tell it hits all the culture marks. This place is amazing. Wag1
Food is great. I generally get oxtail and have been back many times since, even though me and my family can and do cook oxtail as well. Portion size is good for the price. One issue is that the chicken and pork are chopped up into fine pieces which I absolutely hate when it comes to food. The jerk flavor is really good though, so even though I hate the tiny chopped up pieces of meat, I will endure it at times just to get a taste of home. Jerk is one flavor that isn’t easily replicated through bottles of spices, etc. Prices are pretty good in my opinion. The only other issue is that it takes a while for them to put the food together so be prepared to wait a while, this is not an order and out in 5 minutes type deal.Hope you like it.
I am here on vacation and came to this restaurant with my boyfriend and his family. This is absolutely some of the best food. Great prices, the man that served us and cooked the food was incredibly kind, they also had a wide range of food and beverages. I wish I lived here so I could come back more often. I got the jerk chicken 😍
M & A Caribbean Restaurant, Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my chatter and 2 cents on the food.First off let me warn you the folks are nice BUT are on Jamaican time. Which means they are usually 45-60 minutes behind in our time span. Also though there are tables to sit down to eat, they are more geared for take out. Plus this is listed as a grocery store. There was not a lot on the shelves. Only to go containers were available. Now my food. I requested the jerk chicken, rice & cabbage. $9.00. At 1115 AM this was the only thing ready. ( the hours stated they were open at 9 AM)I have been to Jamaica and have had jerk chicken here..But never had it with a sauce on it. It tasted okay, I just not was expecting it.To be honest this was just a mediocre meal. You can find MUCH better jamiacan food in Ft. Myers.I will pass on coming back and go to Ft. Myers when the need for jerk chicken or oxtail strikes me.
Yummy food and very affordable lunch specials.
Love the oxtail. Fresh food!
0 customer service skills. The guy acts as if youre bothering him. I miss Skuda from Js One stop in fort myers.
I asked for a sample and was given a generous sample. The food was delicious!
I went to this restaurant right after church on 11/30/19 to purchase an Oxtail dinner. When I got inside i asked for Oxtails but the store owner told me that the last customer before me had purchased them all and the next batch would not be ready for several hours. Sadden by this I ordered the Jerk chicken. When he brought my order to the counter he opened it up and told me that there was a small amount of Oxtails left so he added it to my order for free. I was so happy with just getting a few bones to taste. When I got home I realized that he had given me more than a few it was practically an entire order. I think he gave me what he was saving for himself This was such a nice act of kindness and generosity it was unbelievable the store owner was really nice and patient while I decided on what else to purchase. The Food Was Awesome***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!***I will definitely be back when Im back in town. I would recommend that everyone go to M&A if you want some good Jamaican food maan.
Best oxtail Ive had since living in Florida hands down!!! Donnas was my spot in Ft. Lauderdale, but this place knocks Donnas out the park! Im from the islands, born and raised so I KNOW what good island food is supposed to taste like! 🌴
Best Jamaican Food Ever! Outstanding Customer Service. Oaxtail Highly Recommended! Its next-level up!
Curry goat and pork stew was very good!
I absolutely love this place, I go in every chance I get. It brings back good memories of living in Jamaica. The food is cooked right in house and so authentic. Also they have a good selection of Caribbean groceries. I recommend this place to anyone.
I love this place a lil piece of home right here
They offer a nice variety of fresh food. I enjoyed eating here. Employees are always super nice, pricing is fair and the place is always well organised.
Good food
Great Jamaican food.Fire!Trust me even if you never have eaten food like this you will fall in love.
Pretty good mini market, I saw the butcher go beyond his duty to help a customer
I just wanted to share with people who know the culture of jamaican food. At one time I would have given 4 stars at one point based on taste#1 presentation (smell how hot is the food) #2. After todays experience I was very disappointed that I wanted to call to inform them about my experience and recommendation. Instead I will make this review and hopefully they get it back together. Taste was what I expected curry chicken ( small bones chopped probably by accident) water down soup to taste like, with a side of water down steam rice. What!! They have a sign for a deal but after today I felt it was a bait and switch. Now its not all bad. Just get back to where it used to be and yall be fine.
Favorite place to get Curried Goat in Cape Coral when they have it!
I really liked the food, but the person at the counter was very unfriendly. I probably wont go back.
Stingy with plantain...1 tiny slice with the meal. The beans in the rice were sparce... Virtually non-existentent. The curry chicken was Delicious!!! Excellent flavor. Great meal just seemed empty with no plantains
Prompt friendly service. The food is delicious and the staff treats each customer like family.if you are in the cape coral area be sure to stop by you wont be dissatisfied
Clean place, good prices and good food
First let me start by saying Ive talked to the owner many times and hes a nice guy. As for the service the store is never open or closed the time they are suppose to. Food is never ready when theyre open and they serve cold luke warm food. The lady that works there is always on her phone talking to her friends which is not professional. Im a Jamaican and Ill say the food here is just ok. Definitely better options in Fort Myers
Probably the truest jamican jerk chicken in town, not no bbq and jerk sauce mix. Now if only they had the jerk chicken in stock more often.
Great food and friendly service! Authentic Jamaican cuisine!
Great food, prices good, and friendly staff..

Like I said good Jamaican food
We had jerk pork and jerk chicken for takeaway. We took the large portion and it was veeeery much. Great food, Thank you
Good authentic Jamaican food. Friendly staff. Most Jamaican restaurants have rude or standoffish staff 😂😂 So I appreciate the courtesy here.
