I recently completed building a bed for my wife’s birthday. With limited tools and space at my house, I brought a materials and cut list to the team at The Lumbery and asked them if they could cut the materials to the desired measurements. “Absolutely” was the response. We carefully selected the wood and I received the cut pieces in a timely manner. I had an excellent experience at The Lumbery…. the team was super helpful, enthusiastic about my project and gave me some advice that added to the final project. Good Wood. Great Service. Thank you!

5 stars for Lumbery. Coolest guys and girls in the lumber business bar none. Shop is better curated than the MoMa.The people are so nice I’d pay them to be my friends. I guess I kind of do given how frequently I’m there.Please don’t join the Tool Library or lest I’ll be bereft of 24/7 access to any tool I’d ever need but don’t want to buy.

A fantastic addition to Cape Elizabeth! The folks here were so polite and helpful when I stopped in. I love the fact that their lumber is all locally sourced from Maine forests and mills. Well worth a visit and worthy of your business!

Had a great first experience. First off I have heard from several people that so much work went into getting the shop opened in dealing with a town that doesn’t seem to like business, let’s just Get that out in the open . Glad someone has the patience to deal with all of those obstacles. That is one more reason to have mine in south Portland. But I digress .But it shows that someone has energy and vision to put in the work . As far as the store they did a beautiful buildout . It really has more than I thought it would, not only good lumber but tools, and a decent hardware selection.But the best was when I asked about delivery . Ryan said I’m really sorry we don’t really deliver ( why would they, It’s a small biz ? I totally get it . But when I said I couldn’t fit a few pieces of plywood in my vehicle, he asked about where I lived, 4 miles maybe ? Then He happily offered to bring it over in his little truck, which he did on a break and helped me carry it around my house .It’s like living in Mayberry when someone does that . I wish these guys the very best of success . If you need lumber Or some random hardware etc I really think it’s worth giving them a try .

Lumbery is a gem. True local lumber yards are hard to find now and the owners are amazing. Very knowledgeable and brainstormed my project with me like I was an old buddy. Having a Cape Elizabeth shop to rip lumber to size without having to go to Home Depot 20 minutes away is a gamechanger. I would implore you on your next Home Depot run to redirect your car to Lumberys instead; saves you time, you are supporting a local business, and you feel at home when you walk through the door.Pro tip - if you dont have a full tool arsenal and have projects lined up in your head their tool borrowing subscription is a god send. One small project that requires a nail gun will cover the modest yearly fee. Cheers.
