I’ve bought and traded several pieces here over the years. Always good deals. I’ve also had my stuff repaired here. Great people to work with.
Bought a speaker from them on Reverb stated that it was new. When received noticed that it’s been out of the box before. 2.5 months in the subwoofer started smoking and started playing quieter. I use it at a ballroom dance studio. We don’t push the speaker to its potential. I asked for help no one is helping. No one is responding. They are ignoring my messages and calls. I had to find them on Facebook to reach out to them. When I told them about what happened they just disappeared. I tried to find information on warranty on manufacture website. No help at all. Took it to a professional they gave the speaker back because they can’t get a hold of anyone in the warranty department at music tribe. Reverb tells me to figure it out with who I bought it from and who I bought it from tells me to figure it out with Reverb. No one knows what to do. Now I’m just stuck with a $1500 defected speaker. Reverb offered me $50 as help.... Hey who is gonna fix this thing. Sweet water is the best they have 2 year purchase warranty. I’ve made the biggest mistake by buying from reverb / Sound Core Music & Video. Horrible customer service. No service at all. How is this fair. Dont cut corners buy from a legit company so they can back you up because who know maybe your stuff will break in 2.5 months and they will say sorry due to Covid we cant help you!
When John Belushi walked into Gusto’s Graphics, 124 S. Illinois Ave., in 1972, he had something in mind. In 1978, when the movie “National Lampoon’s Animal House” debuted in theaters, his “College” sweatshirt was possibly the coolest thing since sliced bread, and it now hangs on walls in dorm rooms across the nation.
Brought in a turntable to have it looked over. Got it back running perfectly! They were super friendly and seemed happy to have the opportunity to work on my turntable. And they were good. Definitely recommend.
Some things are overpriced, but if youre looking for something specific they more than likely have it. The knowledge from the workers is very valuable and they know what theyre talking about because years of experience. These are great guys who have a passion for music, and theyll always have my business. Also let me add that you might get it cheaper online, but that dollar more is justified when you have the item in your hands today without waiting.
Cute music shop with an interesting atmosphere. Its a little confusing to navigate at first, but once youve been there a few times everything makes sense.
What a great resource to have in town. Everybody has so much experience.
These guys did a great job moving VCR tapes to DVDs. Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Good service, good prices, nice music equipment. Fun to shop around and see what they have.
The ONLY place I will buy my Ukuleles from. Knowledgeable, very careful with the product and keeps very good track of what items come with each product. Very friendly!
Helpful employees, good selection, good prices
Brought in some speakers to be re-foamed over a month ago. I paid 30 bucks for a security deposit (fine). I was told I would have an estimate of the cost within a couple days and he would reach out to me via email (which I gave him). Never received an estimate on the cost. I called roughly once a week to cheek on the status of the speakers. I would either speak to a different guy than I originally spoke to who had no knowledge of the speakers I sent in, or I was told that they would let me know when they were done. After 3 weeks of no news I called again to be told that my speakers had been sent to St. Louis Missouri to be re foamed. I assume that this just adds to the cost of labor seeing as they had to be shipped there. I was then asked if I knew anyone who lived in St. Louis who could bring the speakers back, because they said they didnt have a way of getting the speakers back in the near future. So now it is my responsibility to bring back the speakers? I think not. It has now been over a week since I was told that and still no news. My speakers have been fixed but are in St. Louis still. These guys are extremely hard to get a hold of, unorganized, and incompetent. They run this business very lackadaisical and dont seem to have the customers best interest in mind. I will never be coming back to SoundCore in Carbondale.
Went in looking for a specific type of straplock button for my guitar, and a gig bag, and they had both in stock!
I brought one of my guitars in to get a buzz on one of the frets fixed. They fixed it, but also broke my brand new strings (even though they said they were old), charged me for new ones along with the labor of putting the new ones on, and the guitar has several other buzzing frets now. Forgivingly, I went in a few weeks later to see if they could diagnose a problem with another of my guitars. When I asked to speak to the guitar tech (not knowing I was already talking to him) he gave the impression that the tech wasnt working at the time. And when I finally found out that was him, he told me to just leave the guitar and pay the $30 deposit and hell fix it. He gave no estimate of how long it would take or how much it would cost. I then took it to Axe Monkey in Carbondale and the guy there plugged it in, found the problem and told me itd cost about $25 to fix, plus hell put on strings for me. NEVER going to Sound Core again!! Horrible customer service and poor quality work!
