Great place to stop in and eat. Fair prices and large portions. If you have a big family. Buy the the $50 gift certificate and get $10 free. Its free money to use there if thats what meals out with your family normally cost. Breakfast is great here. Lunch and Dinner are ok. Customer service is great.
Love the Middlesex diner! Such a vast choice on menu. Chicken stir fry is the best! Great service, waitress very attentive. Food is great. We are local and come here often to eat. Desserts are A-1 too.
Excelente restaurant serving up classic American dishes to locals, travelers, tourist, and truck drivers for 20+ years. Big menu with large variety and local favorites. I had the crab cakes which were fresh and sweet. Plenty of side options including stuffing with gravy. The peanut butter pie is amazing Appointment dining when I get through.
Baked potato was cold. Cole slaw was watery. The fish was good. Been there before and was always excellent. Very disappointed.
Frequent diners here. Love the desserts. We have gone after our dinner at home just for dessert! Never a disappointing meal. Great service and good prices.
Staff could be more inviting and polite. The prices for a dinner were a bit high, but portion sizes were acceptable. Although, my partner got the root of a head of lettuce in his salad.
One of my favorite spots the SOS ;-) is better than most others but sometimes I have the suspicion that they pre-cook their scrapple during breakfast rush, so I always get mine cut in quarters and deepfried its better the pain meds!
As diners go Middlesex Diner is great! They were pretty busy but the drinks came out very quick, and the food was fast as well! Food was accurate, the server was attentive without being too much. Great experience, will definitely go again!
Extremely friendly, very efficient. They kept the place and its lavatories cleaned.My only negative in this stoo was the food was not to my liking. Thats a personal taste, though. Others in my group liked it.

The food was alright, I didnt feel too good after but my stomach is still getting used to eating food other than Ramen, McDonalds and stuff like that so I cant entirely blame them. The waitress was amazing, if I could remember her name Id say it but I cant. It wasnt too crowded and the food dont take long to get there after we ordered so I was happy 😂
My family and I went there for a meal and my husband ordered honey glazed chicken for his meal. The chicken was pigeon size. Not to mention my mom ordered a tuna melt. It was so greasy. And also might train your staff on proper etiquette on not flirting with my husband. So not appropriate. Bad experience. We wont be back.
Middlesex Diner is a wonderful place where you can have a good meal with family or friends. The staff are always so friendly and the food is always delicious. Located in New Kingstown, Crete and Shaffer trucking drivers always say its one of their favorites. And I have to agree with them! From hot or cold sandwiches, to soups and salads, to even roast beef and Senior meals, this Diner has a lot to choose from.
The homemade peanut butter pie was worth the stop all by itself! Good country cooking and large serving! Very friendly staff and not at all expensive. Definitely stopping here again!

We ordered the roast beef and lasagna. Ive had better tv dinners than what we tried and didnt finish. Cant speak on anything else. Lazy style food is the best I can describe.
Was always very pleased with our meals until tonight. Cold bake potato, soggy broiled crab cakes. Soggy stuffed haddock and a not so friendly waitress.
Excellent! Home cooking at its best. I’m a truck driver and come through Carlisle a lot and today I said I’m sick of Denny’s so I walked here from the flying J and it was more than worth it. The portion size was huge and a great price. I had the roast turkey over stuffing and mashed potatoes and coleslaw. All were outstanding. I’ll be back for sure

Out for a business lunch with a customer. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I had the tuna melt, which was the special. It was enjoyable. I would eat here again.
Traveling through PA as a family of 7 we had to stop for breakfast and almost went to the wrong place. We are so glad we turned around on the Waffle House parking lot and went to Middlesex Diner. The waitress was great with our 5 children. The food came on time and was hot and tasty. The bill didnt break the bank...and last but not least, the bathrooms were clean. If your passing through we suggest you stop in and sit a spell.

Large menu selection for sandwiches or all day breakfast. Very nice server and prompt attention. Omelette was good but way over cooked as it was very dry and was brown on the outside. Hash browns were overcooked as well, some tasted more like mashed potatoes. Lunch partner had a sandwich and fries which were good.
Food was ok. Chicken parm was a bit rubbery.

If you want home cooked meal it is very good place they give you huge serving and the food is delicious. The only thing was they close at 9:00 pm we told them how good the meal was and they wouldnt acknowledge us amd just wanted us and the rest of the customers to hurry up and leave.

I was looking for somewhere local to eat that had good reviews. I should have listened to the recent posts and stayed away. I ordered the Turkey dinner with gravy, stuffing two sides and a salad. I ordered the Caesar salad and a salad with iceberg lettuce is what I got. As you can see the lettuce is old and turned color. I told the waitress that what she brought was was not a caesar salad and she responded they are doing weird things back there.The rest of the food was passable and filling, but it is clear this place is past its time. Furniture is old, the walls and carpet are dirty. The entire place is tired and worn out.Service was slow even though they had enough wait staff and the place was half empty. The owners should consider selling the place or entirely revamp the place. I know this is harsh, but you can tell it is a well liked and locally supported business.The Middlesex Diner is not worth the stop.

I thought the food in the portions here were spot on. The waitresses were all good. The Fruitloop at the front counter when you check out is offputting. Overall a good place to eat small diner feel.

I love this diner. I have been visiting Middlesex for years with family and have never had anything but outstanding device and delicious food. The staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is so pleasant and relaxing and along with great pricing I will continue to make future visits.

Diner experience...food was ok...not the best diner food and not cheap for the quality...server brought food at different times so being the last one served I got to watch everyone eat while I waited for mine...Crowded and seat was on top of one another...felt like it could use a good cleaning...I wouldnt go out of my way to dine here again...

Good service. Breakfast was good. Love the sausage links(Hatfields). We have now ate here twice the first time was breakfast and this second time was for dinner. They did not disappoint- our waitress was very nice and helpful. Our food was hot and good. There is a variety of choices on the menu. We got the eggplant parmesan and prime rib.

Busy tonight. Service was slower than usual. Waitress was pleasant. My stuffed chicken breast was delicious. My husband said his chili cheese dogs were too salty. His onion rings were crispy and good.

Never will I EVER step foot in this place again! Me and a friend went here for breakfast and was racially profiled, after we went to pay for our bill and wanted to pay separately the cashier charged us MORE than wat the bill was and told our waitress that she calculated it wrong 😑

Shake was good. Had chicken stuffed with crab 🦀 meat. Very good a little dry . Rice and vegetables were good. Waitress was very good and pleasant for the large wedding 💒 crowd we had.

Yesterday morning our Hostess ended up tossing our silverware on our table for 8 people muttering as she ran off she didnt have time to pass out the silverware because she had to get our drinks which we didnt see for 10 minutes after we sent 2 people in to get us a table 10 minutes early which should have lent enough time to set the table for a large party. Then she added an oh we dont have any spoons with a sorry for you butter knife. So were stirring coffee with a butterknife. During this wait there wasnt a hostess or waitress to be found in all the dinning area which was packed. Apparently they were all hiding in back is our guess.Eventually we get our food. One order was completely over cooked and after the 3rd round of explaining what was wrong and what the other 7 needed we gave up.The waitress was too busy being social to refill coffee so we ended up filling our own with the coffee pot that had been forgotten on an empty table.Im trying to take into account were coming out of Covid. Staff has to get back into the groove but this wasnt their day to shine. When its problems across the board from seating, to cutlery, food, coffee. Its not only a employee problem, its a management problem. We didnt see a manager lending a hand at any level.Long story short some of us came from 1 and 2 hours away for mediocre experience. Highly disappointing.

My stuffed mushrooms were soft and Soggy a lot of Grease my breaded mushrooms were all so soft touching with the fork they just collapsed the breading wasnt hard
