What a fantastic commissary. It not a large one but they have a great selection of food here. Many different ethic ingredients and food stuff makes it a worthwhile trip if you live in a one hour radius. The staff is super friendly and the costs will not dent your wallet. Parking is easy and base access not that bad. Great experience.
Love this little commissary....lots of variety to choose from and plenty of self service checkouts. Clean!
Need military ID but great prices and a huge selection of foods. Deli service and the japanese food service was helpful and excellent to talk to.Will definitely be returning
Still a good benefit, but often run out of items I buy (even before pandemic). Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very clean store and rest rooms. Meat is always high quality.
For being a small base, the commissary was well maintained and stocked
Nice people were friendly, and very helpful.
Very glad to have the commissary here in Carlisle. Convenient and well-stocked most of the time.
Very polite and clean place
Very friendly and the meat selection is great.
The staff are very helpful and kind. The facilities are always clean and well stocked. The team does a great job keeping a wide variety of products in the store. The meat department is wonderful with outstanding, fresh selections. I really love the butcher box specials. I love this place!
Commissary is clean and spacious. Produce along with local selections are limited compared with other commissaries at other bases.Commissary staff is very friendly and helpful.
Great prices always. Great service. Remember they take your groceries out for you and remember to tip the people bagging for you.
I great place to use my military retiree benefits!
As always its a good military store great prices and always quick to get in and out
Great place for my family to go and do grocery shopping
Great commisary... friendly workers and staff.
Love to shop there. Great prices on meat.
Good prices
Prices are up and near not as competitive with local market. Another promise abrogated by a greedy DOD and Congress. Selection poor at best. The gate mask policy is ridiculous and unneccessary. The Post is getting more restrictive for what reason.
Quaint little commissary. Doesnt have everything but gas what you need.
Great staff here!
I needed a few items and was in the area of the commissary . Its well organized and has everything you could possibly need for home, beauty, meals, cleaning supplies, personal use. Its moderately priced, but I found items that I can buy cheaper elsewhere. Overall I had a great shopping experience.
Not bad, prices are pretty high for a Commissary, but maybe it’s the location. Things are very expensive here in PA
Awesome place, Awesome prices!!
Dont go the first of the month. Its very busy. We go here for the meats and they have a good selection of Asian, German, and gourmet products at good prices. Produce is cheaper at Aldis. Workers are friendly. Its a small place so be careful with the social distancing so this is why I suggest to avoid this place during the first week of the month. They also have their own sushi chef who is great, but we will wait til after the Covid crisis to eat take out food, for just in case as my husband is a over 60 year old vet...
Great staff, great selection of just about everything a family could hope for. We enjoy our monthly trip to Carlisle.... BUT their background music is (IMHO) horrible. Too loud and poor selection of music. Staff says that they have no control over the music selection. The volume level is w-a-y above what it should be.
Love going there.
Great prices...Oooo-RAH!!!
Always have what we need. Fair prices. Good place to shop
Well stocked. Friendly.
Its been a while since 8ve been here. Love the self check out.
Proud of my military service. I will support my commissary and other facilities as the tangible benefits provided to us for our service. I enjoy the quality and value.
What a nice grocery store. Nice and clean.
A good commissary for such a small post. You can typically find better produce at area supermarkets and Walmart though.
Worst experience ever. Will never go again. Prices are outrageous and dont do self checkout. Whoever set that thing up should be fired. Had to ring my order up twice as the machine froze up.
Best prices on fresh meats!
Great store! We always enjoy items from the Deli, Bakery(!!), and Meat Department!Keep up the great work!
It was excellent everything that I wanted was there even though it was a little scarce because of the situation thats happening throughout the country but they had the majority of what I was looking for very well-stocked very pleasant staff and great quantities of other stuff that I wanted I was very satisfied with the service
I love the quality and prices of the meats.
Good little commissary located at carlisle barracks, pa. It is never really busy here and they stay stocked in everything you need. Check out the wall of coupons on the left side as you enter to defray the cost of your trip. If you get in early enough, try a small cup of coffee.
Good prices and nice selection.
Well organized, and is now open to all Veterans. They have kept up with the higher traffic well.
Great savings on name brand goods on most.. but you have to compare the savings to generic brands found elsewhere. Graft deals on meat usually. Produce is typically overpriced compared to other stores.
Good tasting quality food and employees are all nice and helpful. We love the place.
No crowd. Great prices.
Abrasive customer service.
There was a time when shopping at the Commissary was the best way to save money. That time is long gone. I dont shop there often and I was amazed how prices there have increased. I can buy in the local stores and save more than shopping at the Commissary. There are still some low priced products available, bit not enough to make me shop there regularly.
It was great. Its always a pleasure to shop at the commissary.
The crew are OK, some of them may look rude but they are not, it is just a tempo. Though the quality, especially for vegetables and fruits are very bad. Many time I came across some spoiled items. Other than that, all others foods and vBeverages are good. The prizes are excellent and very cheap.
The service is wonderful, but the selection, especially meats, was not what we expected. We travel to different commissaries every few month. We usually spend $200 or so in meat. We spent less than $50. A rather wasted trip for 2 hour drive. Beyond that, the staff was very courteous, extremely clean restroom, and prices easily identifiable. The other we didnt like was only 2 lanes open for a govt/ state payday, if not military. Check out was around a 20 minute wait. We will probably not use Carlisle commissary again.
Small, but one of the cleanest commissaries in the DoD
Shopping at the Commisary is 100% worth the trip to Carlisle, I usually save $50 to $70 in a single trip, look out for sales and online coupons with the Commisary card great selection and prices always have bought fresh vegetables, fruits, and the meat prices are really good, just remember to carry a few dollars to tip the baggers the work for tips only.
Have great deals for military, clean store, and nice staff.
Wasnt open
Have lots of great prices. The Staff is excellent. Very Couteous. Clean.
The staff, as always are polite and helpful. Seems there is less seating everytime we go and even though I realize there are a large amount of prescriptions to fill - wait time for medications is a bit long. Thank you for your service and never forget.
Its like a small grocery store where you personally know the people who are serving the community. You are more than just a customer or a number...
Very friendly staff. Wish there was more of a selection, but it is a smaller store. The meat prices are great! Some things (spunkmeyer muffins) you need to really look at the dates. There is also a really great cashier.... William. Always smiling and he lifts the heavy things for the baggers
Ive been going here since I was a kid great grocery store even if its on the small side obviously you dont have access to it if youre not military however their selection has been getting a little worse over the years.
The Commissary just aint what it used to be. There are few things tgere tgat cant be had less expensively at Sams ir dvem Giant or Wegmans. Used to get meats at a much better price than out in town; not any more. Another benefit diddled to death....
An excellent place to shop high quality stuff at very good price. It has a bakery and sells freshly baked items. Other sruff includes vegetables, fruits, meat and poultry, dairy products, cooked food, cosmetics, toiletries and lots more.
The prices usually beat those of stores off base, but you should definately compare before you shop. The staff is friendly and the store is organized.
Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Store was clean.
Great prices on all items. Best of all the meats are outstanding flavor and price.
Hard getting parking spot for handicap. Its largely retirees and as you can guess, many are handicapped. Nice small commissary. Lots of items that are common elsewhere but arent here. Prices relatively cheaper but not everything. Pick and choose. Will stop when in area but wont drive out of way when I can shop at closer to home spot.
For a small post the commissary is a good size. Great choices of steak and vegetables. They even have a sushi!
Very pleasant shopping experience. Shelves well stocked, store is immaculately clean, and employees are very cordial and helpful.
For Veteran this one of our benefits. Prices are good and its never a hassle to shop there.
Small but well appointed commissary. Great produce and the deli section makes delicious sandwiches! They are closed on Mondays for restocking and dont forget to tip your baggers since they do NOT make an hourly wage. I usually give $5 no matter how many groceries I have. 😊
I found everything I needed plus a lot of great deals. The girl who bagged and loaded my vehicle has a great personality.
Always a great selection! Good prices too
Well stocked small commissary at the Armys smallest post. Not open to the public. Limited product/brand diversity as expected in a small grocery.
Always clean and well stocked with all the brands you can find at other commissaries. Nice place to go to never very crowded.
Always clean and well stocked. Prices cant be beaten.
Small. Some of the pricing is a lot better than a civilian grocery store. Some unusual international items. Nothing spectacular.
Its a lot smaller than most of the comissaries out there, and the produce is hit or miss. Its either perfectly ripe that day or its going bad. Theres no in between. I typically will go to Karns for produce just because its better quality . But every employee who works there is super sweet and always a delight to talk to.
Love the prices and the service!
If eligible to shop a great place to get groceries
It is good and cheaper then civilian food items.
Commissary & PX are on the smaller scale, but just right size for Carlisle. We live close by so its convenient and saves us a lot of money vs.Giant or Karns etc.
Small commissary but they work hard to bring in organics, gluten free and an overall good selection.
Great customer service. Its not a large commissary but to my surprise they have a large variety of choices.
Very nice commissary!Lots of items on the shelves and the produce section is well stocked. The commissary is clean and the staff is very friendly!
Always good people doing a good job.
These guys have it going on, clean organization on parade and bountiful fresh fruit options. Cupon and coffee available at the manaul & electric carts station. Deals are plentiful but one must be educated on civilian sales to get the best deals. NFCU next door.
Cleanest, most well stocked, best selection of any Commissary I have ever shopped.
Military grocery store for authorized individuals. Nice selection of products. Open isles. Clean. Well stocked.
Price on meats was good. A lot of other stuff cost more than at other store. Case study should be conducted to lower price.
Found a few good deals some prices not any better than civilian stores.
Great prices. Saves money 4 retited families
Found everything I needed. The only down side is at the register and the cashier has no place to pit the food wrung g up except for a small around-about and the baggers can not keep up with the cashier
Always clean, great service, went with my aunt, they have baggers that bag it and take it to your vechile. Friendly staff.
Clean and had a good variety of products.
Great atmosphere, friendly workers, and a little Halloween spirit
Always a great place to find foreign holiday cookies and treats... filled chocloates with an adult flavor and kick. Super meat prices too. Friendly baggers.
Great little Commissary! It has nearly all of the items found at larger Comissaries on bigger posts. The produce section is a little lacking, but it still has some grest variety. I am not stationed on this post but I do much of my grocery shopping here.
Most items here are a good price and some are crazy expensive. Terrible meat here tho. Walmart quality.. but I can usually fill a cart for under $100.
Very nice
Very nice but small commissary!
