So I found a product needed to seal a leak at home here, Flex Seal, (as seen on TV;) The box was clearly marked, Purchase 2 and get 5 dollars off. I grabbed two as the ad stated, but upon checking out the cashier informed me he would not honor the deal, so I showed him the box and the ad on his shelves. He told me he couldnt honor it still and told me it had been discontinued and couldnt honor it. I told him he should remove the box with the ad to avoid future incidents and upset customers and he told me it was not his problem. Very unprofessional and disappointing. Im reaching out to corporate after leaving my opinion on every other website and social media platform because needless to say they lost extra 10 bucks and future business over an employees lack of care, and failure to honor the posted ad in the store.. As a representative of Dollar General, I felt Dollar General itself flat out lied and flat out supports the employees who choose to become rude and almost intimidating behavior . As you see below I only bought 1 can out of desperation but needed two and felt the store could and should honor an ad they have posted in the store. Oh well I wont be back especially after the threatening tone taken by the employee once I challenged his disregard to my visual inspection of the posted ad.

Not enough employees for the amount of customers there are in the store

Same as usual, employees are very nice and helpful. They just dont have enough help, they might try paying their employees a little more. And why dont they ever have dog food?

They usually have great deals on stuff one might go to Walmart for, but I cant stand that zoo! Much preferred to go to Dollar general

Customer service was great very knowledgeable staff they knew exactly where their products where I would have given 5 stars but the staff was unable to give me an educated answer on some power took questions other than that everything was great

It a good place to shop especially if you live on the north side of town since most of the shopping is on the south side of town. Only thing missing is the fresh produce!!

Dollar General has great prices and have a little of everything thing you need

I was at the Dollar General at Northgate around 1 pm on Monday. I rarely write reviews but wanted to comment on the excellent customer service that I received. Both cahiers were very helpful and friendly.

Friendly teller. Well stocked shelves. Clean with no strange odor as in the past.

I always find what I need but everything is dishelved. Looks like they dont care how the store looks

They have alot of stuff and pretty good prices.The only conplaint I have is that everything is super disorganized.But ive worked at a dollar store, & understand the struggle is real.

Ive been an avid shopper at the store on peirce street for years and have come to known the employees at this store. Being a manager of a successful business myself i have taken notice that the store has been a lot cleaner and organized shelves are faced and always full. I dont like to single out people but seeing and knowing the employees work and there work habbits i can honestly say that the positive transformation of the store really has to do with one employee Dolores Martinez. I know retail is about teamwork and gor that lady to be able to keep and run the store with the team available should be rewared like management if she is not already. I appreciate the great shopping experience

Horrible experience today. I usually like the pierce st store better because most of the things I have to do in town are closer to there. Today was not the case. Myself and another lady walked in to the girl up front continually squeezing a green dog toy as hard as she could to get as much noise from it as possible. There was no hi welcome or any other acknowledgement what so ever and the noise continued as I tried to find the things I needed. While looking around the male employee was frowning and pushing through the aisles and apparently unavailable to answer questions. I got what I could find and headed to the check out where the girl continued to squeek the toy as she was ringing people up. I know she could tell none of the customers were impressed and she quit until I was in front of her and decided toput her full power into squeeking the toy once more and scared the hell out of everyone in line and thought it was the funniest thing ever. Absolutely no way to run a store. The 2 people just straight said they werent coming back to that store. I had very little to say to her and just wanted out of that store. Totally unacceptable behavior for someone who was not a kid. As I called up there to get a corporate number I was told she wasnt allowed to give that out and hung up! I will not ever visit this particular store again. The 2 employees there this am are definitely bad for your business!
