I was able to try two different manufacturers and picked the best for me. I was looking for sound quality for music and to give me back the high frequency loss so that I can hear birds chirping outside among many other missing sounds. I couldnt be happier with his dedication to service, the willingness to answer questions and try various options to give the best experience. l recommend him highly to anyone who is thinking of getting hearing aids but are unsure of what to expect or where to start.

I received a prompt appointment for my request to upgrade my hearing aids as my previous aids from another vendor were coming out of warranty and that vendor was a 70 mile round trip away.Chris was very thorough with my hearing test and with a review of my options in light of my Medicare insurance.I chose Widex, and received the aids in a matter of days. These aids are far superior to my initial hearing aids which cost $2000 more three years ago for a product that never was as clear and adjustable as these are.The Widex TV Play is also fantastic and has numerous audible adjustments available to make TV reception and enjoyment far superior to my experience with another product. All of this at my fingertips through my Android and with adjustments I requested via Chris expertise.Chris is thoroughly professional and knowledgeable, and has listened astutely to my needs and concerns, as this investment is major for me financially and especially for the enhancement of my daily living and well being as an active senior.I am confident Chris will continue to follow up with me re: any adjustments that may be needed or concerns I have. His office is readily accessible and conveniently located in Carlsbad. Last fall, my audiologist recommended that I purchase hearing aids; they suggested, I being a Vietnam era Vet, apply for hearing aids through the VA. In the interim. I did visit Lawrence Hearing Aid Center. Chris was very thorough and explained the entire process. Chris also allowed me to test drive a pair of hearing aids for about 1 hr.-I was sold. All my questions had been answered and was planning to purchase a set through Chris, if The VA didnt come through. The VA did come through, but, I was immensely impressed in Chriss response to my notifying him of this fact. He expressed almost as much enthusiasm in VA coming through as my family expressed of the Freebie. If and when the time comes to replace my current set-if VA doesnt come through-its off to Chris for a new set of Phonak Marvel hearing aids.

Great experience. Chris is very knowledgeable and explained in plain English how the ears pick up the vibration and the brain processes the sound. He also gave a great analysis of my hearing results so that I fully understood my hearing loss and what I needed. His pricing structure is simple and he took the time to do a comparison of the pros and cons of the different types of hearing aids.

The Siemens hearing aids were originally purchased from Miracle Ear, they did not provide the correct molds or tuning. Chrisfixed these issues, at a very reasonable cost, and a timely manner. The Siemens hearing aids now perform well, hearing is now better than it has been in years.Lawrence hearing center also provided courteous and professional support on follow up appointments. After resisting for a few years, I decided to get hearing aids. Right decision! And going to Chris Lawrence was the right decision too. Reading forums about hearing aids taught me that the audiologist you choose makes all the difference. Chris is great. You can tell right away that hes a no-BS kinda guy. Down to earth and friendly. My Father Must Use Hearing Aids, He is 84, Vietnam Veteran.Dr. Lawrence examined dads hearing aids, stated they needed to be fixed to provide a better hearing experience. The Hearing aids were sent back to the manufacturer. Dr. Lawrences assistants, Pat, first did a good job & helped me. Then Tenase took over & kept me in the loop on much needed status. Chris Lawrence is the most thorough and thoughtful Hearing Aid Specialist!I have received excellent support and service from Lawrence Hearing Aid Center. Facing hearing loss can be challenging, and the entire staff of experts continues to help provide exceptional service. Whenever I need any adjustments, an appointment is scheduled quickly and usually repaired at that time. However, if it needs to be sent out for repair, it is always returned in a short time. Horrible. Very slow to get an appointment, testing equipment button stuck so the test was probably inaccurate and they refused to give me a copy to compare to old hearing tests.When I came in to pick it up 2 months later it was the wrong technology level 3 instead of 2, which they could have cleared up with Epic but didnt bother.(or I would have had I known, Epic did acknowledge they made a mistake and were going to give me a level 2)Chris wasnt interested in making sure the sound levels were correct for me. Made 2 adjustments got mad when I said still too loud and tinny, then told me to come back next week. He obviously doesnt care about the quality of sound his patients hear and with a IIC there is no way to raise or lower the sound levels.

Chris Lawrence is very knowledgeable and spends as much time as it takes to make sure you get the very best results. My father-in-law got his hearing aids at Costco. After many visits, they still didnt seem to work well. When I saw Chris fit my mother with hearing aids at the assisted living facility where he takes care of most of the people, I decided to go to him. He spent a lot of time with me and I am extremely pleased with the results. I then took my father-in-law to Chris. After spending a lot of time with him, Chris fitted him with what he determined where the best for my father-in-law. He now hears all sorts of things he couldnt hear before and we dont have to turn the TV up so loud it hurts my wifes ears. On top of all that, Chris cost less than Costo.

My father was in town for his grandson’s graduation and started having trouble with his hearing aid. He must have left his cleaning kit back in Indiana and we were worried he’d miss the big day. I would just like to share that I had a hearing loss in my right ear for many years. Christopher Lawrence was the only audiologist to suggest that maybe there was something that could be done about it. No Ear Nose and Throat Doctor had suggested it either. I followed up with my ENT and ended up with a CAT scan and found out that years ago there was a bone turned sideways that was put in the wrong place. It was corrected and I have gained much improvement in that ear and no longer have to wear the hearing aid unless needed in certain situations. I am incredibly grateful to Chris for picking up on it. I feel that Chris is not only very knowledgable but highly ethical, and I could not give a higher recommendation for him. Christine Forward

After spending $6000 for a pair of hearing aids one has a continual problem of the battery door being pushed in meaning we cant change the battery. It is has been sent in for repair five times over the past 18 months. The other hearing aid is problem free.Dealing with an elderly clientele and throw in Alzheimers is not easy. But I feel that Best Hearing has let us down.All they will do is continue to send that hearing aid back to the factory for repairs. They insist my mother is the one who breaks the hearing aid --- and it feels like Im getting excuses not service for this lemon hearing aid.I will be consulting with another hearing aid specialist and writing off the investment in these hearing aids. It doesnt bother me so much that the hearing aid is in my opinion defective. It bothers me that Best Hearing and Balance abandoned us and blames my mother.

This is a complicated one. My mother who has dementia had a hearing aid from the previous owner. We had tons of trouble. One of the hearing aids broke five times, the other maybe once. To me it appeared defective and I felt like I wasnt getting satisfaction.Chris Lawrence, the new owner really tries hard and has given us excellent service. Im still a little sore from that first hearing aid - but the second has been as trouble free as hearing aids can be under the circumstances.
