When I am walking my dog in downtown Carlsbad, I frequently stop at the Big Big to pick up my lottery tickets and other supplies. I love the location, which is right on my walking path and one block from the ocean. The staff at Big Pig are friendly and accommodating to their customers. We locals love the place as much or even more than the beach tourists who frequent the Big Pig.

I love this place! Eddie is always so nice and has the best selection of June Shine in town. He even offers to order certain bevos and let me know when it’s in stock. I’m always looking for ways to support local businesses and Big Pig makes it easy. Plus he even helped with the Toys for Tots event this past year!

I am a local and shopper here weekly for years and shopped here for proximity and convenience. Prices are beach prices so overly expensive but pay for the convenience. However, the Owner made a huge scene, refuses to take back products that he sells that are defective and poor quality to replace or refund and then made me the problem for pointing out the problem very vocally with other customers in the store running both me and them out of there calling names and yelling something about Himself and God being right. We would sometimes spend $200-300 per week or month on Random goods and he chose this as his solution to a simple resolve.There are other local liquor stores. We will not be going back to this store for any products as they are sometimes either spoiled or non-workable items. Try Texas Liquor. A few more blocks but with much better customer service when returning products. Especially customers that have been coming there forever. Joe

From the day this place became Big Pig Liquor it was an instant success the owner is one of the most genuine individuals I know, there an excellent service great selection and aside from liquor there’s also some of those things you just might forget when you’re shopping, they have it all, on top of that service with a smile I highly recommend. I live three blocks away and can tell you this is consistent Day in and day out.

Pig Big Liquor is the only place my husband and I shop for beer, hard kombucha, and liquor. They have fair pricing and an incredible selection. They always have the latest Juneshine releases too. The owner Eddy has been wonderful every time. Shop local and go to Big Pig!

Website said it opened at 9 am, arrived at 9:36 am. Not open and nobody bothered to answer the phone.

I walked in to meet the gentleman working behind the counter I think his name is Big Pete from Chicago appear to be a nice man purchased a $17 Cigar gave him a 20 told him to keep the change have a good day. I walked outside begin to like my cigar and realize that Cigar was peeling and would not grow properly I took three hits went back into the store and explained he said there’s nothing he can do about it and told me he was 65 quick complaining. The other customer that was going to buy Cigars said I will not shop here. He was very rude and inconsiderate not fair. Very unfair liquor store be aware public

Horrible customer service! I walked in around 10:30 and the man behind the counter was chowing away on his food (First off, ew) and asked me to hurry up. He repeatedly told me how he has no patience as he’s been there for 10 hours and would like me to hurry up again! Should have just walked out and not even given them my business! Would give 0 stars if I could. Find better employees who actually care about your business.

Walked in to get something and the guy (pretty tall guy, middle age) kept telling game to calm down and hold my horses m. Just very annoying as I was just trying to buy a vape.

My wife loves pigs so we had to go and get a souvenir.

All seemed well when I purchased a couple of bottles of wine and a gallon of water for our stay in Carlsbad. Upon opening the Oregon wine blend, I tasted it. It tasted horrible like it was spoiled. I said nothing to my wife and asked her taste the wine. She spit it out, as she said it was terrible. We then walked back to the store to return the wine. The other bottle of white wine was fine.Upon returning to the store, I asked the clerk to please provide me a refund, as the wine was spoiled. I told him I had my receipt. He said They didn’t sell that wine. Then he said who’d I buy the wine from. I said in this store would you like to see my receipt. What did the guy look like?, he said. I said he was a tall man with dark hair. When I bought it from him he was watching the Miami vs Florida football game on the tv above the door. The man said no refunds. You have to come back when that guy is here. I honestly have no idea how someone can own a business and treat customers this way. It was an almost $20 bottle of wine. I’ll try the credit card company to see if they will get me a refund. Buyer beware, if you choose to shop here. Taste before you leave.
