They refinished my mother in laws 200+ old rocker and when we saw it done it brought us to tears. It looked absolutely amazing. My mother in law would have been so happy to see it like it was when she was a child. They also refinished a couple of other pieces and they came out so beautiful that we are going to have them do more work. I cannot say enough nice things about Rick and Lynda and the work they do.

I couldnt be happier with the quality and appearance of the repaired cabinet. Due to a slow under sink leak, I had warpage and discoloration of the front panel of my kitchen Island. The quality of the repaired island front is outstanding. It honestly looks better than new! The color match with the remainder of the island and other kitchen cabinets is perfect. Furniture Medic responded to my email inquiry within 24 hours, and an estimator came within a couple days, took measurements, and drawer front for color match. Within a few weeks the installers came and replaced the island front. They were courteous, professional and thorough. You could tell they take pride in their work and it shows in the results. This company is top notch. While it was somewhat expensive the quality of the work and the professionalism of all the staff involved was worth the cost. Furniture Medic did an amazing job transforming my 1988 honey oak kitchen into a beautiful updated kitchen for 2018 and beyond. Our cabinet boxes were veneered with white wood and every door was replaced with beautiful raised-panel doors. They worked in my house for about a week, but I was able to cook in my kitchen every evening because they removed their tools and cleaned up each day.Rick, the owner, came several times to work alongside Jose. I had such trust in them that they came and went from my home while we were at work by using the garage door code. Furniture Medic repaired our patio chairs for us. After 25 years, the fabric in 3 of the 4 chairs split. Furniture Medic re-slung the chairs for us and they look like new. Very pleased with the work done by Furniture Medic by MasterCare. We had a 24-year old kitchen table refinished. Original table was a light maple with dark green painted trim. Furniture Medic stained the table top with a cherry stain and used a dark grey milk paint on the trim. Turned out great!

I inherited a steamer trunk from my Great Grandfather that was used in 1917 when he came to America from Greece. To my adult horror, when I was twelve, my parents let me spray paint it bright blue. I wanted to restore the trunk to its original look, but the estimates were crazy! Rick took in our trunk and for a very reasonable price, restored it to look like it did in 1917. My Mom downsized and was getting rid of the kitchen table from when we grow up. It was very “country”, well loved and well worn. I couldn’t see in my house, but hated to see it go. Rick and his guys helped me recut the legs and change the stain into a two tone jewel. The finishing was not cheap, but reasonable. I did think the cost to cut the existing legs (that were in good shape) was a bit high, but I can’t say enough about the good experience and wonderful work that was done.

Furniture Medic did a great job on two of my projects. I had kitchen cabinets from Ikea that were peeling that could not be replaced because they no longer carried that size, so I had Furniture Medic paint them white, and they look terrific. A few months ago, I had water damage from our upstairs neighbor that completely ruined one of our kitchen cabinets. Furniture Medic built a new cabinet for us, and we just reinstalled it. Did a great job removing the lead paint from my very old 1890-1900 fireplace surrond that looked its age. In the end after it was already mounted to my wall, I noticed some minor paint imperfections. We are preparing our home for sale. One side of our custom kitchen island (where the sink, garbage drawer & panelled dishwasher are) was in poor shape. (Several nicks and finish worn off ue to water dripping on it—we couldn’t ask top dollar for the house in that condition.) initially, I called in the tech from the custom cabinet company who had made our cabinets. The guy is a miracle worker but said we needed more than a miracle. They could remake the panels but do not offer on-site sanding and refinishing that the island needed. He suggested a couple of furniture restorers. The first couldn’t get out soon enough. I reached out to Rick at Furniture Medic, sent him pictures and suggested he come out to see the island in person so he knew the extent of the work. We agreed that having them refinish the whole side was the way to go. We agreed on a price (not cheap, mind you, but far less than getting a new island!). He removed the panels that day, they did the panels in their shop and refinished the frame on site at the agreed upon date. The results are stunning. I could not be more pleased! I would not hesitate to have any precious piece of furniture or cabinetry refinished by Furniture Medic. They are craftsmen and truly care about their work.

My experience was like having a good friend helping me.Our carved dinning table leg was damaged in the process of moving from NJ to Illinois. I contacted Furniture Medic in Carol Stream to come and repair the table onsite to avoid moving it to the shop. A prompt and reasonable estimate was provided after I sent some pictures of the damage table leg on their easy to manage website. But because my husband was recently diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s and terminated from his employment, I asked if they could reduce the price to a certain amount and they agreed and scheduled the appointment! That was remarkable in itself, but it get’s better.Rick arrived right on time with his tools and cheerful disposition and immediately went to work. I was astonished when I sent a footboard of my bed-frame that was severely damaged which I thought was possibly beyond repair. When it came back it was like new from the store! I trusted them to be honest and tell me wether it was repairable because they had come and repaired a broken and splinted table leg on our very ornate dining room table that took them onsite less than 1/2 hour to masterfully restore the leg so well that it looked like it was never broken.
