Drove down for the weekend and had my engine light come on towards the end of my drive. Was there first thing the next morning and asked them to read the codes to find out what was wrong with my vehicle. Diego was so very kind and helped me figure out what was wrong (broken spark plug), sold me the proper parts, and then helped me install them! He went above and beyond and saved me so much time and money just by helping me out! I got to still enjoy my weekend and make it back home safe and sound! I could not recommend this shop more! The battery died in my van down by the beach and walked over to buy a new battery. They even loaned me a small tool box so could take out the old battery and install the new battery. SO HELPFUL overall couldnt have been more pleased.

We are visiting Carpinteria for the week and my wheelchair armrest pivot bolt broke. I went to find a makeshift repair bolt and ended up having the owner, Fidel, find the parts and repair it for me in the store. His son who was helping his “papa” that day said his father recently purchased the store and knew how to fix just about anything.Fidel was fiddling with my wheelchair and trying different bolt and nut combinations for at least twenty minutes. During that time I observed several customers come and go, while he and his son answered questions. I also had time to look around at prices and they seemed very reasonable.It is wonderful when someone goes over the top to help others. I’ll definitely come back to Coast Auto Parts if I need anything.

Really good service, the new owner has been an employee of NAPA for many years, so his experience in auto parts makes him an even better business man.

Terrible person working there. Does not understand English very well and didn’t know how to lookup a part.

This is the 3rd time in a few months that I go there and they are just randomly closed. The other 2 times it said the time they opened. I see workers go in and then wait like 30 mins and they never opened. Just close for good if your gonna keep doing this.

Absolutely terrible customer service! I ordered some parts, was told that they would be in the following day. I came in to pick them up and was told they didnt come in (no phone call telling me to not come in). I then told them to call me when they came in... waited and waited - no call. Called them today to see if theyre in and they came in on Saturday (4 business days ago)! Go somewhere else; I definitely will next time!

The hours on their website are different than what is posted on the door. Been waiting for 15 min for them to open on a Saturday 1 hour 15 min after the website says they are open.

Closed on sudays and they dont post in on any site online.

They dont open on time. We waited for about 20 minutes with more Costumers that were not happy either.
