Had been looking for a utility trailer to haul a zero turn mower and happened by...First time in a Bomgaars...Found a 5.5x10 with full width ramp for 300$ less than the best price Id found anywhere...Had planned to look in Des Moines but Bomgaars in Carroll saved me $ and a trip...They also had all the accessories I needed like a ball and 6 drop coupler...Most everything you might need they have...Friendly helpful folks, and very good prices too...

I was generally impressed with the store on my first visit there. Its a great place for farmers and ranchers to shop, as well as anyone shopping for yard and household items. I saw a good selection of bbqs.Theres a good pet supply department. There are baby chicks and baby turkeys there, and poultry raising supplies. Theres some clothes and shoes, but selection is limited. More boots than shoes. The toy department had every John Deere toy imaginable.

Im giving it 2 stars because they did have what I needed and I usually have an ok experience when Im with my husband. This was not the case today though I ventured into Bomgaars on my own and most of the employees were rude and lacked any customer service skills towards me. I went in there looking for specific items that I knew the store carrys so I asked an attendant and he just blew me off. I found what I was looking for on my own then preceded to go and pay for my items. When I get to the checkout one clerk was helping a customer and two other clerks were just standing there talking they saw I was ready and waiting in line but neither one helped me. As soon as a caucasian lady was ready to check out one of the clerks called her over and helped her. I still waited there and finally said to one of the clerks Im ready to PAY for my things. She never said a word to me just totaled up my items and took the payment. Is it because my brown skin frightens you? So does my caucasian husband have to escort me to get decent service from Bomgaars employees?

They were very friendly and nice and the guy helped me in car parts is name was Jared he came out help me put straps on the bed so it wouldnt fly away I Thank you for helping me out Jared

Wow this place is so cool, I wasnt expecting it to be the entire size that K Mart was!

Won’t be coming back. Was shopping last Saturday March 6th, 2021 with my family. I was pushing my disabled brother in a wheelchair and we stopped to look at these hamsters and bunnies they had in this heated cage. He was making his uncontrollable noises and a group of 7-8 high school EMPLOYESS were mimicking him from an aisle behind us. We walked around to confront them and they were running around the aisle corner to the back of the store. The rest of the time we were in the store they didn’t help one customer, they just gathered in one area and were making taunting noises, and being immature. No sort of management at the store. Just a bunch of high school kids who fell halfway backwards into a job title that their daddy’s made them get to stay out of trouble.

This place has EVERYTHING, or so it seems, especially in tools, pet and animal feed, and farm supplies. They even sell baby chicks and ducks.

A great experience for the first time. I was surprised at the large selection of farm supplies and everything else even live small farm animals, chickens, rabbits and ducks. Like the old general store.

Bought 900+ dollars in dewalt tools router was broken in the package tried to return it they ended up giving me a display model cause inventory was picked over.Clearly stated i dont want the display but manager said its new your taking it. Even though the case hasnt been locked either time i went there

Staff is very helpful and was able to help me locate exactly what I needed. Store is very organized and combined with the perfect temperature as well as good music made for a wonderful shopping experience.

Bomgaars in Carroll, IA was a true find when I first moved to the area. The old store had everything I needed no doubt, but was often hard to find in the narrow isles. At this new location, theres plenty of floor space and even more selection of sporting goods items, good items, and general outdoors items. I would love to see more lumber and building materials sold here, but you cant ask for absolutely everything. Before moving here my favorite store was Menards, and I was sad to see it go. Bomgaars has been more than an acceptable replacement, its become my favorite store anywhere!

I went there for lawn ornaments. Once inside I noticed that everything is scattered, no set place for inventory that I saw. I didnt locate what I wanted. I did observe that none of the employees nor did the customers wore face masks or gloves. I wont be shopping there.

The new location is amazing. Nice layout that makes it easy to find what your looking for. Awesome selection, and prices arent too bad either.

Its Iowas version of Fleet Farm. Everyone is polite and helpful. Very nice selection of tools and farm supplies. Also a very large selection of individual fasteners.

Horrible experience at this location. I will not be going back. They do not honor prices that their signs clearly say and then are rude when you ask questions about them not honoring the price.

Bomgaars is the better version of .... Everywhere else. Some things (ok quite a few things) are a little pricey but the variety of items in stock makes it a one stop solution for most things. Also they have long time employees who know the store and inventory. I love shopping here!

Moved from the old location and now its useable. Wide aisles and well lit. They even had three types of cowbells in stock so of you need one they have it. Jeff
