Good selection of miniatures and the staff is friendly and will offer advice and answer questions in a manner that makes it very clear they are passionate about the hobby. Unfortunately, they were out of stock of the BattleTech stuff I had hoped to find, but I wasnt disappointed, as the staff explained the situation and made it clear that there is a very active community around the game in the area, which made me actually glad to hear they were out of stock.

Went during Covid when masks were required city-wide and not one of the 20-25 people in the store were wearing a mask. Lady behind the register seemed annoyed that I interrupted her conversation to check out and barely looked me in the eye. If you are concerned for your health, do not shop here. I will not be returning.

Great little mom and pop shop for wargame hobbyists!They offer way more than just warhammer and had all three of the games (Flames of War, Bolt Action, and Blackpowder) I was looking for, that I couldnt find anywhere else I looked before getting there.Travis was super helpful and deserves a promotion!Definitely check this place out if you are interested in tabletop war games, or even just painting miniatures!

Great store, staff is super friendly will talk to you for days if youre a talker. If not theyll leave you alone. They got space in the back to play 40k or other tabletop games. Prices are pretty good and usually cheaper than the brand website pages.

I walked in this store and my voice dropped two octaves, hair sprouted on my chest, and a mustache that could make Burt Reynolds weep immediately grew on my face.I left with the ability to draw and quarter a pig in under five minutes, tune a timing chain, and construct a proper dovetail joint.In short I became a man.Also it’s an awesome hobby shop.

The best hobby store in DFW, hands down, from the top down! The owner, Brian, is a prince of a man and has been a huge asset to the war gaming community. Staff is super helpful with painting recommendations. They have a great selection of AoS, and it is the unquestioned center of competitive and friendly AoS in this area. Gaming tables feature top level terrain. Can not recommend it enough.

This place is awesome. I’m a transplant to the DFW area so I came here with my son to pick up some WH40k stuff. They have a huge selection and cover ground on all the factions (I was blown away), as well as Age Of Sigmar as well. They hooked me up with a few magazines of white dwarf as well. They are definitley a thriving hobby community- helpful and allow people to game in their back room (they have tons of tables). Will be coming back.

Great store! Has created an amazing community for 40k and AOS in DFW. For those trying to war game this is the place to be in the metroplex. Over 10 tables, a huge selection of models, and weekly tournaments in many different games.

Good selection and prices are good. Staff love to talk and help. For miniature paints, they have a great selection of paints, brushes and tools for the hobby. Lots of great minis and games. Plus they have a great game area wwith lots if terrain and accessories.

Only gone once or twice, but am moving to the area in the next couple of weeks. This store is awesome, so many different tables to play on, and tons of terrain. Their prices are awesome, and fair. The staff is helpful, but you are going to be the one to initiate conversation, not them. Looking forward to playing here for years to come.

This is the only shop I buy from in town. Allen, the owner, is the best. If he doesnt have it, he can get it. The prices are amazing. If you are into miniature wargaming at all, you have to head over to play a game or to pick up a starter army at a great price. I cant say enough good things about Allen or Texas Toy Soldier.

Well stocked, knowledgeable, and AMAZING customer service and prices. I went there on a weekend trip to Dallas and was impressed with how well stocked the store was for the various miniature based games. I have been in contact since returning home to Shreveport and Allen has continued to be helpful and accommodating as I continue doing business via email.

Went in after work today looking to replace a paint that poped open and dried out in my move from colorado. The guy who talked to me when i was in there was very friend and showed interest in what i was currently painting. He also let me know about what games they have running on each day whish was great. Will deffinatly be returning.

Allen has a great store, stocks the top-selling main stream sci-fi, fantasy and historical table top game systems and minis (GW, Battlefront, etc.) and provides a gaming area with several tables. He discounts and will do orders for out of stock or pre-order. Hes the only game in town, pun intended, if youre a table top miniatures gamer.

Ive heard a lot of great things about TTS, especially after its new location. First time to visit Saturday, and I was completely blown away. Kept loosing my balance because there was so much awesome merchandise to look at. Merchandise very well organized and the shelves were all FULL. Spoke with Allen, and he is extremely knowledgeable about all the products and provided great recommendations for my table top plans expanding my armies. Also, they can order you it if he does not carry it.Very reasonable prices considering all the virtual storefronts out there. Speaking of that, I spent the weekend shopping online and compared to his prices, and Im convenience its worth the minuscule price difference to support TTS because it has lots of tables available in the back for playing games. What is the point in saving maybe 10% ordering direct from the company, when you can invest that into TTS and have a great place to play your games and hangout/meet others like you that are passionate about table top miniatures. Thought I was there for 30 minutes, and it turned out I was there for 2 hours. That is how great a place it is. Great first experience for me, going back tomorrow to buy myself all my Christmas gifts I can put others names on.

Normally, I would give Texas Toy Soldier 5 stars. We have loved every visit and the owner and cashiers are very nice and helpful. However, tonight was terrible. The cashier Pandi (the name displayed on the reciept), spent a full half hour chatting with someone about different colors for a single mini figure, and anytime it seemed as if he were finished with the customer, we tried to ask for help and advice only to be brushed off and ignored in favor of going back to talking about colors. When I tried joking with my boyfriend and brother about how much money they spend on their games, he snidely remarked that I had no idea what I was talking about. When we finally got into line to make our purchase, we had to wait about 10 minutes before he finally came up to the front and he again ignored us in favor of another customer who had come up after us. We normally love coming to Texas Toy Soldier but tonight Pandi made our experience truly disappointing and just all around unpleasant. This is the worst experience we have ever had at Texas Toy Soldier.
