Overall experience has been good. The staff that came to do the install at the house were excellent. They took the time to troubleshoot and explain how to use the devices.While the work done was professional, I am reducing the the rating of my review for the customer service I am getting. I had taken a service from them and cancelled it before it started. It has been 20+ days since I am trying to follow up with their customer care through email and phone to get my refund. All, I get is a particular person will take care of it and that is not happening.

Really good experience. Travis was really helpful helping us picking the items we need and Robert installed the system in the same week. The system works fine and I dont need to run down to the door to see who rings the bell, all I need to do is to open the app and look at the camera
Update: I was reached out to today by the manager figure who laughed at my frustration yesterday. He did offer to allow me to cancel and ONLY have to pay for 6 months of service that wouldn’t be received instead of the full year. I declined, expressed my frustration again and was laughed at again. Highly unprofessional. I was was told that my attempts to call multiple times were untrue and even told that I was lying about him laughing at me when I told him I was offended at that!Original: Tried to cancel a contract after 4 years and 11 months with home pro today. I had tried many times in the past to get in touch with the local branch and was never able to get anybody to answer when following the appropriate automated prompts. Today I tried setting up a new service and magically they answered.I was informed that I could not cancel as the contract requires 60 days notice before auto renewing for another full-size year.I don’t recommend home pro at all, any interaction I’ve had has been frustrating beyond any measure. I don’t want them in my home and have been told that our system is out of date and needs to be replaced for the new setup.So I guess I’ll be paying full price for a full year I don’t want on an out of date service that I’m not getting all of the features that are being paid for.Do yourselves a favor and stay away from home pro!!!

The value of the system and monitoring was hard to beat. Also, Austin Dunn was incredibly helpful and informative throughout the process. He was very responsive and respectful every time we interacted.
Joaquin Oliver could have not been more informed and or knowledgable of both the system and my specific needs. He listened to me and went to work quickly to get us back up and running. I asked him about an other unique specific need I had for security issue and even though he said he had never had a client ask for that, it sounded reasonable and quickly reached out to the service desk and found an exact solution for my request... that speaks loudly to his dedication and willingness to help a client... you got a good guy there!
So I went with this company to support local businesses. They were never able to correct the issue of the motion sensor picking up my chihuahua and setting off the alarm. My.parenrs had a security system 20 years ago that didnt have this issue. Secondly, I am being forced to move out of their service area due to a work promotion. They wont cancel my Contract so I have to continue paying for it...its not my fault They dont service my new area. If I would have went with a national company such as simply safe or even ADT, this would not be an issue. They should have a provision where if they cant service service area, youll be let out of your contract

Our original security system was installed and had poor customer service and didn’t meet our needs and also left out key pieces of information I needed for permit and usage of the system. I basically knew what we wanted in our home security system and after spending time walking my property and discussing everything with me we discussed all of my options to come up with a custom plan for our home and family. Home Pro wired our new construction house. They have done a great job following up to see if we are able to use the systems in the house. We had a problem with the Ethernet cables and they will be replacing them. Great service.
As a first time homebuyer the builder suggested I use HomePro to setup my alarm system. When I walked in my new home the representative Bob was already in my home waiting on me. I thought it was strange but I didn’t really think much about it. He explained the services and doc signed my name and I give him $1800. However after comparing prices, equipment and doing a little research on my own I decided that Homepro wouldn’t be a good fit for me so I canceled my schedule appointment 48hrs later. On the following Monday the representative Bob called and woke me up screaming and yelling at me saying why did I cancel, you can’t cancel and that had on three days which he never explained to me when I signed up and I was within my three days time frame. I thought any times about staying with the company since I had already given him $1800 but I can’t because I have gotten calls 4 to five calls everyday since harassing me and making threatening statements about what he’s going to do like I’m the only customer in the world. I would not recommend this company to anyone do your research first. All I want is my $1800 dollars back and to stop being harassed by this company it’s becoming a nightmare so think long and hard before signing up and do your research first please

Nic the technician went over and beyond and exceeded our expectations. We had a key pad lock sitting on the counter that he voluntarily installed for us. He even volunteered to close up a telephone hole that the previous owners left in the wall. The system is great, convenient and easy to use. The only thing I wish was different was the alarm itself. I wish it was louder and yelled burglary repeatedly like my last system did. Aside from that, I love the fact that Im notified when someone comes to my door and the camera they installed was very good quality. Overall Ill give a 9 out of 10.

We had Rogelio come visit us two days ago to help fix some service issues we were having with our HomePro security equipment. And let me tell you... I will never want to work with anyone else but Rogelio!!! He is amazing!! I love how old school he is and helped us understand our security system by sitting us down and taught us how to properly use the application. Then after that he went around the house to make sure all of the camera were working and the wifi strength was good. He left making sure we were comfortable with the software, understood the security system and was so sweet! I hope we get to work with him again!!

The customer service reps I had were nice, but they have difficulty either understanding what the customer is saying or translating the issue to create the tickets in their system. I had to explain multiple times, sent pictures, my builder had to contact them, but the technician I got was amazing. He contacted me in advance, although they wrote the ticket up wrong, he just had to go get what I needed. Then he educated me on my receiver, (I was clueless). He also called in the additional work I needed to ensure the ticket was setup correctly. He was very professional yet friendly and personable. I actually enjoyed his company while he worked.
Scott Allen was awesome. He walked me through all of my options with surround sound and home security. He was also pro active and didn’t leave us with any questions or reservations about choosing Homepro.

We moved into our new build in February. Our builder uses HomePro for electrical and wiring, home automation, home security, and surround sound. We were told after we moved in we would have an orientation consult with a HomePro rep. My husband was at home when the technician completed the installation and activation of our security system. The tech gave him instructions on how to use the system and mobile app. We had a few warranty issues that needed to be addressed and the tech also gave him advice on how to get those resolved. I have requested the consultation twice, providing my own contact information. I also requested a sales consultation for additional services. Each time, the response was to my husband (not me) and we still have not gotten a consultation.I can’t speak to most of the services they offer because we haven’t been able to use them. The home security system is lacking in comparison to others in the market. The mobile app is easy to use but only provides basic functions, like arm/disarm, alert history, and local temperature. There is not feature for account settings, like renaming sensors, changing/adding security phrases, etc. The system also lacks a scheduling feature. There is no option to set up automated arm/disarm times.The installation errors mentioned that should be covered by warranty were/are as follows: outdoor surround sound-outlet missing a cover plate, under cabinet lighting-1 cabinet missing a light, ceiling fans-1 fan not wired properly, electrical-2 outlets incomplete and 1 outlet in the ceiling instead of the wall, security-exterior door sensor not making consistent contact making it impossible to arm the system.It is now July and we still have no resolution from HomePro on most of these issues.
