I have been going to Christensen Automotive for a few years now starting with an oil change. My car is a 2004 and things are starting to happen. I trust the crew at Christensen Auto and being single and female thats important. I remember saying to one of the crew that if any repair ever comes up that just may not be worth pursuing to let me know and I trust that he will. I am never dissatisfied when I go there. I thank them very much for their great service. Thanks Nick for my last repair. I even ended saving some money from the original quote.

Asked for a jump start and was told they dont do mobile, then they hung up.

I purchased a 2013 BMW from a local dealership and after 3 days it has been issue after issue. With no help from the dealership I took a chance on Christensen Automotive in Carson City and I am so glad I did. Not only did they fix the original problem that was not done by dealership but they have fixed and maintained my vehicle. No surprises, only concern is their high markup for replacement parts but their other costs were reasonable and comparable to other businesses in area. Will consider their shop for future repairs.

Ive been traveling to a Car dealership out of the area. Every service brings another sour experience. Several friends and neighbors recommended Christensens so I gave them a whirl. We were greeted on time Scott wrote the service order in a very timely matter. I stressed to him how the dealership I was going to previously the Tech left a 5 fingered handprint in the headliner, next time he left a white substance on the side of the truck near the fuel door, (maybe to clean up spilled DEF fluid)? And lastly it appears he failed to check the DEF level on the 3rd and final service, as it was really low. Jeff did the service showed my wife and I how to check the DEF level and told me he is a Duramax owner as well. So all in all they jumped on the job at the point of receiving it and finished in record time all with a lesson from the Tech who performed the service. The previous dealership made the appointment and put the vehicle off to the side while I was waiting. Keep up the outstanding work Christensens, you now have another very satisfied customer. Little pricey but nice people

Had an oil change done. Discussed why my tire pressure icon in car would not go off. It was the spare tire. They all have sensors. Will be going back to have brake and transmission fluid changed. Glad he checked the fluids. Gave me an estimated bill for that serviceHopefully after COVID wanes, they can start have their special coupon offers.

I have been using Christensen Automotive ever since I moved back to the area. I love that I get updates on my car and new estimates on the cost from Schell, the manager there. I am no expert with cars which is why I trust people who are. Schell and his team are always happy to patiently explain to me the diagnostics with my vehicle as well as provide an estimate for things in the future. I know I never have to worry about my car being fixed right the first time but I love the warranty they give on their work. Highly recommend the Carson City team!

My fuel pump went out on my Sequoia. Ive never had a problem with my vehicle but had it towed the Christensen since I work in Carson (live in Reno). I had not used them before, but they diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and I had my car the following week. It was expensive but reasonable, based on the work they had to do (approx. 4 hours labor). The dealership would have been more money. Overall a very good experience. They also gave me a Veterans discount.

They fixed the headlight switch on my pickup and it is so nice to have headlights and dash lights again. I think the cost was reasonable and actually about what I thought it would be. I will definitely use them again for any other repairs done on my pickup.Thank you Scott for being so friendly and didnt treat me like a woman who didnt know what I was talking about.The service was great, the employees were friendly and professional. And the shuttle driver (sorry I forgot her name) was also very friendly and was a good safe driver. She drove me home and pick me up. This place is the best! They are very efficient and can always get you in within a week. The front office staff is knowledgeable and efficient. The service has always been excellent as well as the repairs. In 6 years of servicing 4 of my vehicles they have never made a mistake. One time I called from the side of the road because of a flashing light and they put a tech right on the phone with me to determine if I could keep driving. You can trust the Carson City branch of Christensen Automotive for sure!

Very nice and friendly. A little slow and I dont think they started my brake inspection until 2 hours after I dropped it off even tho I had an appt. Will go back as their prices and quality seem good.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Very poor experience. Paid them to diagnose issues with transmission and they wanted to replace an engine with 90k miles on it. Will never deal with them again. Took it to another shop which diagnosed and repaired the issue for 1/4 of the cost quoted from Christensen.

Set up an appointment last Wednesday for today, Tuesday to have the oil changed in my motorhome.I got an email back confirming my appointment for 930 today Tuesday.Drove 25 miles at 8 miles to the gallon.They checked me in and took my keys and said it would be a little while I said no problem.Went for a little walk and got a phone call saying they could not do it today.My motorhome was on file with past oil changes. They blamed it on COVID 19BS!!!Never going back!!!Don’t go there.

We have a vehicle that pulls funny in both directions. Mr. Nyblom serviced our vehicle. It was determined that it could be 3 possible things. He gave us some great options and advice as to were to start. We were able to make a confident decision and will be taking our vehicles to Christensen Automotive from now on. I have no found a “ great “ place to take my car / truck for repairs since moving from Las Vegas. After much research i called to get my diesel truck in, i was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t have to wait a long time to get in and the experience was professional from start to finish! These guys worked on another Jeep I owned. They told me when the condition and anticipated repairs were going to exceed the value and advised me to get rid of it. They could have just kept fixing something that couldnt be fixed and charging every time. I so appreciate their expertise and honesty. I dont feel like theyve ever tried to upsell me as many of these places do. I have been taken by repair shops in the past but feel very confident Im being treated fairly here. I am retired and on a fixed income so very much appreciate their honesty and how respectfully I am treated here. I take my current Jeep to them and feel very confident in their expertise and honesty. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!.

Scheduled an oil change and A/C check, arrived at the appointed time and was informed that there was no waiting room nor drop off service anymore - so I was expected to sit outside in the sun for several hours? Could have informed me when I made the appt. I have changed auto service providers

I dropped off and picked up my wife for getting her car serviced there. She likes it.

My car was transported here by tow truck and left for evaluation. This I had the next day and repairs made the following. Easy to talk to staff. Cost of repairs, really well within the range of acceptable. I will continue going there and the car is now home and running really well. Additionally, this team of people picked up some minor things that should have been noticed and corrected by the dealership I originally dealt with. Thank you.

Would never go back... would give a minus 5, if I could...had my truck in twice some time back charged me almost $1500 each time. Never got it right, then they said I need to do something else for $2500. Told them I don’t have any more money. (I’m a disabled Vet) then they handed me an application for a credit card...took it to another place they knew what it was right away... freaking clowns....

Great experience with this shop. They changed the brakes on my F-250 last minute and gave me what i think was an excellent deal. Honest and very friendly service. If I lived in this area they would seriously be the only shop I would trust with my vehicle.

So, I bring in a 78 Dodge for a tune up and oil change along with a question about my starter. Chris checklist was fully comprehensive, and alerted me to many additional problems that need to be addressed.I just put a new starter in a week ago as the old one was staying engaged, it sounded like a maraca when I shook it in my hands. But I still had the same problem with the new starter staying engaged, so I put in a new solenoid - no help. I asked Chris if he could put a shim/spacer on the starter. After his diagnosis he said that all I needed was a new starter. (I just hope its not the ignition switch, because then Id have to open up the steering column.)I can replace the starter myself, so I stuck with the oil change and tune up, to the tune of 637.00 dollars. Wow, Ive heard Christensen is the best, so, well, I guess thats what I paid for - oh yeah they have a shuttle to take you home when you drop your vehicle off. Very nice and friendly people. Theres an extra star..I would have liked to have done the tune-up myself, saved a lot of money and put in high performance parts. But Id probably need a few weekends which I dont have. I was surprised that it was ready the next day. Fast work.I returned the reported bad starter and put a new one in, and the new one also stays engaged a bit after starting. I told Chris and he has offered to shim the starter. But after returning the starter again, a mechanic there told me it was normal for the starter to spin down. Hell, I can hardly hear the motor start from the spin down noise. And I got charged ANOTHER NINETY FIVE DOLLARS. Ill not take it back for more starter hijinks, as a matter of fact, Ill not take nothing in, ever again because, ultimately, upon inspection with a different mechanic, the work done by Christensen was sloppy at best. Circulation hose from the air filter has been left missing. The new plug wires were not fitted, (left at manufacturer length) and some lay against the valve covers where they can heat up and cause big problems.It still stalls and dies after start up like before, sometimes I can give it enough gas to keep it alive as I pull out into traffic.The choke was not fixed . The electronic choke fights the manual one and needs to be disconnected and connected directly. Not done.Its very disappointing, either the other reviewers here no nothing at all about auto mechanics, or Christensens just arbitrarily decided to rip me off. I feel like a sucker.

Amazing customer service! We were heading home to Phoenix from a vacation in Lake Tahoe. We had a dead battery so we stopped to buy one at Costco. Unfortunately they would not install the battery for us. Found Christisnsen Automotive in Carson City and went to see if they would install it for us. They were very busy and I expected to wait for some time, the gentleman I spoke to was so kind. He put it in hinself and sent us on our way. Thank you Chris! You dont see kind considerate people often but when you do you should let everyone know. So here it is! The best service ever!

Theyre nice, honestly they are but they charge waaaaaay too much for everything. Need a diagnosis check, thats 200 bucks down the drain. And for what they do work wise, Marios auto repaid can doing for at least 40% cheaper. Nice people, expensive auto repair shop

I have a new slogan for Christensen automotive we will check your car and tell you need a alternator and we will charge you $400.00 to replace it but when you have it checked two other places they say your alternator is fine whats up with that? My suggestion is just dont take it to them unless you want to throw your money away youll have better luck at the cosino

I spoke to 2 different people today. 1 was a customer where I work and she said they ransacked her car. Took all the change she had in it and a keepsake that came from her mother that is unable to be replaced. They took anything and everything of value. She was afraid to complain because they have her address on file and someone may come to her home to retaliate. She was genuinely upset. They looked under her floor mats she knows because the car was a mess when she got back into it. I told her she should file a police report. When I mentioned this to another employee I work with he also said he would never go back there because he had the same experience. I thought you were a reputable company. I guess not and I will make sure I never go there and I will let other people know that the Carson City store does not value their customers.

Shane ( general manager) was wonderful I would recommend them to anyone SERIOUSLY great customer service. They save the parts that they replace and show them to you and tell you how they work. I really like them... Also they have an AAA accredited rating (only 5% of shops have that in the whole country).

Yes, They are 5 star great. Our family came out to Dayton and our jeep commander had problems with the transmission in Reno on a Saturday. No one in Reno would see us for at least 3 days due to hot August nights. So we looked in Carson for anyone to help us so that we could leave on Sunday. Christinson Automotive was AAA recommended. As soon as we called them they were eager to help and concerned. In short they cared. They fixed the problem with the jeep in one day. And we were able to drive back home if you have car problems and are in the Carson area go see these guys. They are good.

Got an oil change here last week. I got written report of the diagnosis . Torn boot on driver side... Need to replace axel.. Plus additional steering fluid and other leaks. Took it to my dealer repair man. Absolutely no torn boot no need to replace axel!!!! Cant believe they were ready to screw me over big time. Incredible!!!!! Poor dealings!

Once you tell the mechanism what wrong your car and they try to fix right up. Even they check other parts ( tire pressure, oil check, and others) no question ask.

I broke down on a Sunday afternoon in the middle of the road. Got a tow to Christensen and was really glad to be able to leave the car and use the night drop to leave my key and an explanation of what had happened. Christensens is a bit more expensive that other places, but they do stand behind their work, and the shuttle service is a life saver when you live alone. I had the car back within 3 days.
