Took over 40 min of repeatedly giving my personal info for my order to Brenda. Customers behind us left out of frustration. After waiting 4 days for my order, I discovered they never gave my order info to their independent moving company. Instead of apologizing or handling the situation, the manager Kelly said its not our problem. How is it not your problem?? So instead of calling the moving company herself, or offering to help the situation, she told me Im welcome to help myself. Mind you, Im pregnant and physically cant get my bedframe, mattress, boxspring set and told her this. Once I got ahold of the moving company myself, they also told me I was given the wrong quote to pay their company. Go anywhere else but Big Lots. Their managers are rude, unhelpful, and my whole set of over $1000 is still at their store because of them. Thanks alot Big Lots, your managers need some serious training or just new ones in general.

Ive lived in California in various Counties and have shopped at Big Lots in each of those Counties, but this store is by far the best. Once you walk into the store, you are pleasantly greeted, and the entire store is very clean surprisingly. Recently on my visit, I had noticed the expirations date on a particular selection food items, so I brought it to the attention of the store manager in which she confirmed my observation and thanked me, and immediately got help from an associate to remove all the expired items. I was so impressed because once when I was in California with the same type of observation, the manager of that Los Angeles County store told me Its o.k. because the item is still good several months after the expiration date! What? Really? Well, I appreciate very much that this store takes pride in their store, the items they sale, and the fortitude and conviction to do whats right. I love that they maintain a clean store, and each employee whom I have spoken with have been a blessing, whether getting an item from the top shelf, or answering questions regarding products, or returning items with simplicity. This store and each of their staff is definitely a jewel.

I went there for a patio set. Took the ticket that was on the table as instructed to the cashier. Was told the table was in stock but none of the chairs were not in stock. I waited for the furniture man to show up for his shift. Was told 12:30. Finally came out at 12:50. I was very patient . They told me they would not sell the floor model .I thought that passing up an over 500.00 dollar sell was not important. Big Lots must be doing pretty good to not except my $.

Went in for a shelving unit and they didnt have any. Not their fault. Found some other items we were looking for.

So empty. Use to be able to find all kinds of things, but shelves are pretty empty.

Not much to say other than its Big lots.

3:37pm on Sunday, September 6th. I called Big Lots in Carson City, NV. I let them know that I would like to come pick up a large $400 dresser but in order to do so, I would need to go rent a uhual first so because of this, I asked them to check their stock for me so I wasnt getting the truck for no reason. They checked the back, and found the exact one I needed. I politely requested they hold the dresser with my name on it for 2 hours so I can get the truck and come pick up. They agreed. Now, 4:50pm, only an hour after my phone call, I had arrived at the store with the uhual. I walked to the back furniture section where I was helped by an older woman named Callie. I told Callie my dresser was on hold and Id like to get it. She went to the back and came out with a hold tag that had my name on it. She asked if that was me and I said yes and then she goes on to tell me that the tag was on the side and she didnt see it so she had just sold my dresser. I was in shock. I have never felt so upset and frustrated. I just drove an HOUR from my home, rented and paid for a truck and dragged all 3 of my babies to this store for no reason. I told this to Callie but she offered me absolutely ZERO help. I even asked if she could sell me the display that wss sitting right there and she refused.. She saw the tears in my eyes from frustration and what did she do? SHE WALKED AWAY FROM ME! Just left me there, didnt offer me any solution and didnt even say good bye or that she had to get back to work or whatever the case may be. I then spent almost an hour sitting outside calling different Big Lots in Reno until I found one that had the dresser. I then had to take my uhual rental to Reno NV (2 HOURS from my house). Pick it up in Reno, drive it 2 hours back home. Drive the uhual another hour back to Carson City and then again, had to drive myself an hour back home. Big lots in Carson City, caused me to return my uhual 3 hours late (obtaining a late charge) and also caused me to rack up over $100 of mile charges on the truck rental!!!!

Always good prices,although some of the management is sometimes rude.

It took a while at least 20 minutes for somebody to come and help me in furniture.when they did finally show up they were very helpful and knowledgeable.

Not good at all . Mgr is very rude, I been doing customer service for more than 30yesrs. That man is very luckily its thanks given, and my wife said we will take are $ 600 somewhere with people that still care. U have a grate Thanksgiving. P.s Im a grandpa with my grand daughter, that man should find a job with no people. Thanks

I bought a couch and had it delivered: I love the look of the couch, unfortunately, it was delivered with a broken arm (no place to screw in one of the legs). I called customer service right away and was on hold multiple times. It took two weeks for them to email me back! Even then, I had to get on the phone with them to request a refund. No problem, except I have to bring it to the store to return it. I had it delivered because there was no Big Lots near my house. The only other option was to pack it all back up (yeah, right) and bring it to FedEx MYSELF and send it back for a refund. I am very upset with Customer Service and the whole process. Last purchase from Big Lots for me.

Big lots needs to have the electronic chairs for people who are disabled

Great place for odd bargains. Needed headphones with the 3.5mm connector. Found it for $5. Will work great with the audio book on portable device for someone in the hospital. Easier to put on headphones than to put earbuds in for the patient. It even had volume control online.

Pretty bumbed they dont deliver their furniture anymore.

Store has great deals on items but the manager John is very rude to both employees and customers. I asked about a price on a desk and he looked at me and talked to me like I was an idiot

All I can say is AWESOME!!! We never thought we would buy furniture at Big Lots. Well we did... and LOVE IT. Jeff the store manager and John the assistant manager were so professional and helpful. We recently had a bad experience with a furniture company in town and still have not received our furniture or a refund as of yet! We ordered it from this store August 15 and it is now October... We have been sitting on our lawns chairs for 2 months!We decided to go to Big Lots and were so surprised by the nice selection of brand name furniture at a fair price. We were even more impressed at the customer service that we got from Jeff and John! Jeff went way beyond the call of duty to make sure we were able to get our sofa and double recliner the next day. He drove to Reno to get it for us where they had it in stock!! Thank you Jeff and John !!! You get 5 stars!!!Charlette Barnum a VERY Happy Customer :)

I will continue to shop at Big Lots, no matter which state Im in! I found the perfect rug in Texas Big Lots for a teachers reading area. Im constantly in my Phoenix store, getting bookshelves, tables, as well as food, toys, etc. The employees are super helpful!

Great store! Everything they have is cheap and their material is updated every week. Nothing is the same which shows how much they keep everything new. Staff is very helpful and polite and will always ask you if you need assistance which is a big plus!

Big lots means discount pricing and a variety of home, and office items. I picked up four adjustable desk chairs on rollers for 50 bucks each!

Just be careful I have wasted my time 3 times because I called and asked if they have an item when I got there they were rude and said they dont know where it it is. I found out from a manager on 2 different occasions they dont even carry the item but she guessed a price when I called so the manager said when I call just ask for a manager. Why arent the employees capable???

Really just a large department store has almost everything from couches to hostess cupcakes. All reasonably priced, do your research and price match and you will find a lot of the items are at a bargain price.
