Great place to spend a day with family. November and December its nicely decorated for the holiday and sitting and summer are great also because of the outdoor water fountain. Beautiful place you will never forget. Take the your and hear the stories of the different characters in the large main painting.
We only come here once in a while because of the drive but it is a really nice day trip. The grounds are gorgeous and well kept and its a very peaceful atmosphere. There are lots of cool spots for pictures and benches for those who need to sit and rest. The chapel is truly spectacular and my favorite thing about it is the stained glass windows, which were made in Redding California. They are truly stunning. Make sure to check out the store with limited edition signed figurines. Theyre really cute. Make sure your cashier gives you a stamp card for purchases over $35.The museum and gift shop got closed due to a fire dept visit. Make sure 71 is not closed going northbound out of Carthage when you go or youll have a bit of a detour.
We were driving to Iowa from Texas and happen to see a sign on the freeway pointing to this place. Not only have we never heard of it, we didnt know something like this existed. Well, 2 hours later, we left very impressed. It was pretty amazing, all the things they built. And it didnt cost us anything. Im not a collector or anything of precious moments merchandise, so I didnt know what to think, but I left very impressed. Its well worth a detour to see.
I eat there for first time it was delicious bread omg 🤤 and the chef came and checked on us and made sure everyone was enjoying the Sunday lunch,! 10/10 for me ...
Loved it since 2011. I think we go once a year around July. We are ALWAYS late but just ten minutes is worth the drive. Very peaceful and serene. ❤
Love this place! Mom told me to go 14 years, and I thought I wouldnt be interested, but I couldnt have been more wrong. My husband and I stop by every time we can. Its peaceful and lovely lit up in the evening, and great to tour the chapel and museum during daytime hours. So worth the so and right off the highway!! Just beautiful and calming.
First of all - still amazed this place is FREE. So many opportunities these days to monetize this type of place and its still open to the public at no cost.We visited the Precious Moments Park during the Christmas Lighting event - it was a beautiful evening, our only problem was the chapel was entirely cut-off due to a press event that was pass-only. There was very little info available about this online and we were unable to see the inside of the chapel unless we wanted to wait for the hundreds of people inside to leave.Other than the logistical issues, this place is super fun, especially if you are a PM fan. I am not, but still had a blast. Their store is amazing, and they even had a Christmas sale going on where we were able to find figurines and other fun gifts for $10 and under (comparable to ~$50 normally).Definitely worth a stop if you are on your way through.
I work there, today was my first day
Sad to see what has happened to this place after what I remember it as a child. Brings back lots of memories.
Love this place! Been here a few times. We made a random trip to the Chapel on July 22nd and had the privilege to meet Sam Butcher, the creator of Precious Moments! What a great, talented man!
Pretty scenery and a nice relaxing getaway from the real world. I REALLY enjoyed my visit.
If you see it once you have seen it for life. It is beautiful and very religious though.
Great stop. Wonderfull campus if your traveling route 66 worth the detour for sure.
