1st time in this nice establishment. It is very neat and inviting. It makes you feel like you should sit and visit for awhile. The place was super busy. Yet, they kept us moving without delay. Pleasant employees. They were not rushed with trying to move you for the next person in line. The young lady who took our order, gave a few quick recommendations that helped us change and fix our orders quickly.The food was delicious and generously portioned.Its worth a try. So, when you try it, you will really add this place to your list of places to eat and enjoy!
Ordered online for pickup and the experience was unpleasant. The restaurant was really busy, to be expected at brunch time on a Sunday, but since we had ordered online we went straight to the order pickup counter. After about 15 minutes of not seeing any to-go orders we asked if they were working on our online order and they told us we needed to go to the other side of the register to pick it up. This was not clearly marked or indicated in any way and our order was likely sitting on the counter the entire time we were waiting. They have chalk signs everywhere why not have a chalk sign that tells you where to pick up your online order??Anyway on to the food. The chai latte tasted like bland warm slightly spiced milk, a big disappointment as others had recommended it. The Normandy sandwich may have been good if it hadn’t been sitting so long the cheese congealed, but it was lacking some savory element to balance the sweetness and the chips that came with it were super stale. The croissant sandwich was okay but overcooked and very small.This will not be my go-to cafe or breakfast spot.
The patio is pup approved! My husband and I needed a place to stop for lunch that would be dog friendly, as to not leave her in the car. One of the employees brought out a cup of water for her, which was really nice since it was a hot day. As others have pointed out, the food and coffee are excellent - but I wanted to rave about this point, as its hard to find dog friendly restaurants.
My wife and I had lunch here today. My first time and her 3rd or 4th time. She loves the coffee and she can be picky. I had a club on a croissant which tasted very fresh. I had a side salad that again, the veggies were very fresh and the dressing (lemon vinaigrette) was great! She had a pear and walnut salad that was awesome and a piece of fresh baked bread on the side. I was hesitant because of the difficulty of other restaurants in that location but I hope these guys are here to stay!
Good food. I typically get the quiche and a side salad with their balsamic dressing and a pastry to take home. We went yesterday and it tasted like they changed their balsamic dressing and now its not good at all so I wouldnt recommend that anymore. However, make sure you try their pastries!
This place ALWAYS delivers on the quality of their food AND coffee! Great local spot located in a very unassuming shopping center but their food, service and prices are always on point! There’s plenty of selection for everyone- no one will ever leave hungry.
Had lunch here for the first time. I had the chicken salad on a croissant. It was great. There were several other items on the menu that interested me. I look forward to going back
I like to call this my local Panera. But to me its so much better than Panera! I love that the menu changes with the seasons and theres always a new salad to choose from. One of my favorite sandwiches is the pear and fig sandwich. An absolute must if youre over in Cary for breakfast or lunch. Be sure not to leave without one of their amazing almond croissants!
If need a place to work for more than 30 min be prepared to use a hotspot as the WiFi is only for 30 min. Good coffee. Slow service though - was here for 2 hrs (on hotspot) and noticed line always had 5 or 6 deep without moving very fast. Took me 10 min to get yogurt parfait and coffee. I was here with coworking group this morning - our host had called in advance to inquire about internet service but was not told of limitations which was disappointing - rest of my group needed to leave after 30 min and we planned event to be here till 12noon
I popped in here to grab breakfast and weekend treats. Full disclosure, I was planning on going somewhere else, but that place had a line out the door. This was close by and on my way home, so it finally gave me a chance to check it out. Im so glad I did!There is a decent amount of outdoor seating, which is great for eating out during the pandemic. Inside, the tables are spread apart, but on Saturday morning every table was full so it was a little too packed for my liking. All orders are placed at the counter, which makes it really easy to grab and go.The menu is great! An egg & cheese sandwich...on a croissant...with turkey bacon! I had to get that. It was good, but a little dry and the amount of filling wasnt enough for the size of the croissant. We also got several pastries. The plain croissant was really good - flaky and delicious. The chocolate one was also good, but need more chocolate in it and the chocolate could have been sweeter. The cinnamon roll was great - moist and sweet - and huge! The cookie of the day - chocolate chip butterscotch - was excellent...full of flavor and the right balance between chewy and crunchy. I wish I had gotten more! We got the walnut chocolate chip mini loaf for our toddlers. They need to gain weight and we thought this would be. good snack for them. However, my husband and I ended up eating instead...and we dont need any help gaining weight......I cant wait to go back and try more.

Good atmosphere, friendly folks, fast service and a large, covered outdoor dining area. I find the food to be less good than the coffee, but not at all bad. Sandwiches seem to be heavier on the bread and lighter on the fillings which can be a disappointment, but the coffee is very good. I have not had their pastries so cannot comment, but they look inviting in the case.
Its so nice to find a clean friendly and good tasting food place around here. Coffee great! Food very tasty. I keep going back. This is a hidden gem.

First time customer. Embarrassed to say, I had 3 pastries. All so very delicious!!! Chewy chocolate walnut cookie, croissant and amaretto cheesecake. I initially went for coffee (Jan van Gogh coffee brand). Always great smooth coffee. Staff very nice. Great service. Great experience overall. Ill return again next time Im in Cary.
One of our favorite places in the Triangle, we drive from Durham now to go here because we love it that much. Their coffee is great and very well priced, their bakery items are amazing, and they definitely have the best breakfast croissants in town! Plenty of options for vegetarians as well!

My wife and I have eaten here a few times. That would easily increase, except their hours are a bit restrictive. Nonetheless, the food and coffee beverages are top notch. We look forward to a lazy Saturday to eat here.

I come to Chanticleer all the time and its always wonderful. The cute girl with the pink hair is always so sweet and helpful.
I dined at the restaurant for the first time after hearing a number of positive comments. I ordered the Croissant Club and pasta salad side. The croissant was fresh and filled with meat, lettuce and tomato. It was terrific. The pasta side was a little small but also very good. I often dine at Panera for lunch but the quality and portions at this restaurant were definitely a step above and a little lower price than a Pick 2 at Panera. I will definitely return.

This is one of my favorite places! Ive been coming here for over two years, and its always been incredible! Their bakery items are so high quality, and you cant beat the prices. When I think of my dream Cafe, Chanticleer is the closest place Ive ever seen to that! From their beautiful chalkboard menu, to the unique building design offering tons of window space.On a rainy day with one of their delicious coffees and equally delicious breakfasts, take a seat by the window and watch the rain for a bit. Youll be glad you did!
Stopped by for the first time last week for lunch. I had the chicken salad on croissant and cheese soup. DELICIOUS!!! Also got a chocolate walnut cookie for the road. YUM! All the deserts displayed look fabulous and the wait staff all seemed hospitable. Eli waited on us and he was a breath of fresh air. He was extremely friendly and professional. The cafe itself was clean inside and out. We will be back!
Wanted to get donuts from our favorite local donut shop, Bakers Dozen, but they are closed for renovations. Decided to try Chanticleer instead. Picked up a selection of pastries to go. Staff were all wearing masks which is good. The pastries were all outstanding. Everyone had a different favorite including the pecan coffee cake, chocolate chip scones, cheese danish, and others. Will definitely be going back.
Overall my take out experience was great. Placed my order and it only took about 5 minutes before I was out the door. Pastries for the house and a sandwich and coffee for me. The parking lot was a bit congested due to it not looking around the building leading people to have to do a u-turn between parked cars. Very convenient location to the medical plaza right down the road.
My first time here and this is not someplace I would go out of my way for. The food was decent, the same as Panera, although supporting local businesses is something I try to do. What shocked me was how dirty the tables and booths were. Plenty of staff standing around talking behind the counter....wipe down a table and sweep the floor! The inside waynes coating and baseboards really need a refresh of paint and the floors scrubbed. All of that and limited wifi...in Cary? Shocking and disappointing.

Excellent location for all to see when they drive by. Wonderful gourmet cookies and sandwiches, the service is excellent and same for the food. Very cozy and quaint place for a good bite to eat. I will be back next time Im in town to try their breakfast menu which stops at noon on the weekends.
First time here today. Had the Turkey, avocado ciabatta with a side pasta salad and a coffee. Sandwich tasted very good and fresh and very good coffee. Certainly place to visit again when in area
Had a lovely lunch at Chanticleer with my mother. Very good creme brulee latte, light and fluffy quiche, and fresh side garden salad.
We have never had a bad meal here. Whether you are in the mood for a salad or sandwich you wont be disappointed. Sometimes we just get coffee and one of their to die for desserts. Highly recommend!
Staff is great and friendly, it’s a good enough coffee shop, my intention was to find a spot to read at, I was there for two hours but maybe I just didn’t get the right seat or maybe it’s covid times that I didn’t have the comfiest of feelings. But great spot nonetheless and that is not their fault! They are very clean though and observe social distancing guideline!
Update: I’ve traveled many miles at least once each week to come to Chanticleer because their food and, even more, their staff is just so wonderful. If you want to feel like you’re dining with friends, come in for coffee of lunch! And absolutely grab some dessert!The staff at Chanticleer is so nice. This cafe is a newly discovered gem and my new favorite place to get coffee. I drive out of my way to get it from them. Their lunch options are fantastic too. We love their pasta salad and the fact they have vegetarian options. Don’t get me started on their cheesecakes...just try one! If I could change one thing, it would be to have them open all day. Thank you to Chanticleer to providing curbside pickups during the pandemic. Thank you to our favorite staff member, Eli, who always makes us feel so welcome!!!

Favorite new coffee place for a relaxing atmosphere and great staff. My wife and I have passed this restaurant for years and never knew what kind of restaurant it was. We didn’t realize it was a breakfast joint until we looking for some places one morning on Google maps. So happy to find this gem. We had pecan bread, and an almond croissant with a mocha latte and pumpkin spice latte. Both were 💯! This place is 11.

My church did a boxed lunch catering event this fall. The staff and owner were awesome to work with and the food was delicious, as usual. I would recommend this delightful establishment to anyone looking for a relaxing enjoyable and friendly place to pick up a meal, enjoy a morning coffee, or meet a friend for lunch. Croissants are incredible, sandwiches are so tasty, and service is wonderful.
The waitress looked at me twice without speaking. It was apparent that she was just doing her job to get it over with. I do like the selection of items. Its a cute little cafe. The person handing me my food was nice and polite and there needs to be more people like THAT at the register. The food was good.Edit. There was hair and lint on my sandwich. Stars deducted.

Do yourself a favor and get to Chanticleer as early as you can. I found out the hard way that they close at 2p.😒I am addicted to their made- from-scratch tomato basil soup. Delicious does not do it justice. It is the perfect side to my other favorite the Californian on croissant.All of their baked items are made from scratch on site--that is why you need to get there early. They sell out fast. The regulars know the deal. 😉. There are tons of other yummy sandwich and salad options to entice you. Their soups do rotate so get there while the tomato basil is on the menu.One more impressive thing is that they remember your name and your order when you come often. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome.Be sure to try the cheese danish, a cookie or chocolate croissant or one of their famous muffins that change daily. It will be one of your favorite places to eat--breakfast or lunch. You will thank me for suggesting the tomato basil soup and the Californian on croissant.You are welcome (in advance). 😊

Great croissants make for a good egg sandwich, though pricey. No real WiFi options so dont come here expecting to work if youre not an existing Spectrum customer. Coffee was cold/warm. Overall a meh experience.
I was hoping to like this place, but other than the very friendly cashier, there was not much that I liked. My latte was so awful I threw it in the tray after 3 sips. It was just too unbearable to try to suffer through it. Money wasted. I hoped my veggie sandwich would be better, but it was just so so. There was nothing spectacular about it. The focaccia bread was good. The chips were not warm and some had become soggy from being in the air too long. This was just a miss for me and I’m certain I won’t return.

I had the berry salad and it was full of sweet berries, crunchy walnuts and savory blue cheese. I also had an orange torte/cake that was moist and citrusy. Frosting was rich but not too sweet. Service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend!
A friend of mine from college suggested this place. It is so cute! I had the Asian Salad and added chicken. It was delicious with lots of leftovers! Her sandwich looked great. The food came very fast. Would go here again for sure!
My husband is a coffee and pastry connoisseur, and a big fan of La Farm, so we decided to check out this place. We both enjoyed our lattes, but I out-ordered him with the breakfast sandwich. I got the egg white and cheese on an English muffin and it was so good! They press it so its like a panini. His egg and cheese croissant was tasty but way too small- definitely needed another egg to make it substantial. Of course, we had to try a pastry so we went with the cheese danish and it was incredible. We look forward to coming back.

Came there nearly every other day for a couple weeks. Everything was fine until a very poor customer service experience today. Will not be returning.
They haven’t figured out how to control the flow of their customers. I’ve been there three times and each time it has frustrated me. There’s absolutely no benefit to calling ahead. What that means is you stand in a long line of people who are ordering so when you get your food it is going to be cold, though you have already ordered. You would think when you walked in that you would go to the sign that says pick up. But that’s not correct.That’s for the folks who ordered in the store and are standing around waiting period doesn’t make sense does it? I will never go again no matter how good their food is.

The baked goods are always fresh and the coffee is consistently great! The staff is very friendly and I have no complaints for Chanticleer.
