Went in for a vaccine and RX pickup, have been going to this location for years, and theres been a noticeable decline in the service and attitude of the staff in the Pharmacy area. As I was entering the RX area, customers in front of me turned to leave after speaking with the Pharmacy Tech, and said they were never coming back to that location. It didnt take long to find out why that was, because I was next. This Pharmacy Tech, a woman, was singularly the most offensive, abrasive, obnoxious retail person I have ever encountered, anywhere. I was informed my appointment made online was not on record, and when I showed her my emailed confirmation from Walgreens, I was informed she couldnt search by any of the information sent to me, and that the appointments were never updated. Somehow this appeared to be my fault. I sat down to wait, and spoke to a gentleman next to me, sort of a Wow that was fun remark quietly, and she shouted from the counter What are you saying about me!?. At this point Id had as much of Miss Personality as I wanted, and told her that her customer service skills needed a LOT of work. The Pharmacist was little better, as I was given a form to complete, and when I told him I completed it online, was he sure he couldnt just print it out, his response to me was If I had it I wouldnt be asking you for it.That sealed Walgreens fate at least with me. I got what I came for, and will never, EVER go in that store again, after 15 years. Im just 1 person I realize, but based on the lack of business there on a Saturday afternoon, I dont think Im the only one who is going elsewhere.Theres a zillion places to go, save yourself an unpleasant experience and go elsewhere. Even if you have to go to Atlanta. It would be better.
They did not want to give the second dose to me because I lost my vaccination card. I thought they wanted people to get the vaccine way to protect your people Walgreens. Way to go!
Would you like your pharmacy order delayed? Would you like to wait 35+ minutes on hold? Would you like vague texts telling you theres an issue but no way to get further details? Would you like to talk to a robot and not a human? Then boy do I have a pharmacy for you!The store itself is reasonably clean and staff is friendly. The pharmacy though... Yikes. Every order and refill is a nightmare. So much so that I switched to just paying out of pocket for the medicine from a better pharmacy.
Quite possibly the best experience I’ve had at a Walgreens location. Brandon helped out and wasn’t annoyed by the million questions I had. Nice to be able to buy things knowledgeably with some help. Thank you Walgreens and especially Brandon for being on top of his game
We live nearby and always shop at this store, now we wont be back. We went to take a tourist friend who according to the news can already get vaccinated here. But an oriental man came out, I think he was Rasista because he told us in a strong tone that it is not for tourists, I hope they see the cameras. serve to better select staff
I have called the pharmacy at 955 s winter park regarding Rx prescription and insurance issue waited for about an hour no one is picking up I tried to do pharmacy chat it’s also not available . This is very unsatisfactory service .
Walgreens - Store #5399, 955 S WINTER PARK DRThere are many things that are stressful in today’s society, picking up meds from a pharmacy should not be a stressful event. But sadly, Walgreens recently had a big turnover, almost all their employees are new. I dropped off a prescription, told them it had been a while and they may need to contact the insurance company to update their data. The pharmacist Thanh asked if my phone number was on file. It was also on the prescription. He said it might take a while to process and noted he would call when it was ready. Two days later I walk in to check on things and find out, not only was the prescription NOT filled and I was never called, Thanh did not contact the insurance nor did he even bother to look in the system to check on the insurance coverage. That brings us to my encounter with the very lovely and very Old man John. John was off talking about who knows what, maybe the good old days, with what sounded like a friend. I don’t know who he was chatting so friendly with but I do know he was way too busy to be bothered to help the line of people waiting on him. The lady working the drive thru noticed John was gone for a long time and came over to ask if she could help. She found the med order and started to process but came to a stop when I produced a federal government ID. She said her system could not accept it and I would need a driver’s license. I said this was what I have always used and that was enough to bring her thought function to a full stop. Now Old man John has returned from his “Good Ol’ Days conversation as his friend finally had to leave. John shuffled back behind the counter and asked if he could help me. I repeat to John what I said to the young girl. John says it is a new system and that is how it goes. If I don’t produce a driver’s license, he would not ring up the sale. So, I give in to the old guy and he rings it up and ask me for money. I told him about the conversation I had with Thanh and he looked it up then told me that my number had expired. I asked him to call for the new number. He told me he couldn’t be bothered to contact the insurance for current acct info. He offered it would be so much easier to just pay cash and for me to submit the receipt for re-imbursement. Being given a hard time by John in the Walgreens pharmacy is not acceptable. I have been getting the same prescription about every 6 months for around 5 years now. I have never been given a hard time by the staff in this pharmacy until today. When I got home, the wife told me of her last encounter with staff at the same Walgreens. We have decided it is not worth the stress of dealing with the lazy employees at this Walgreens. Back when Scott was the manager this store run flawless, all the staff were super friendly and always helpful. In a nut shell, Scott’s replacement and his coworkers are not very pleasant or helpful. We miss Scott and wish him well this New Year.
Pharmacy has always been subpar here, but reached a new low today. Just got out of the hospital after reconstructive surgery and went in the drive thru to pick up prescriptions. Was told they wouldn’t be available for hours and pick up end of day. tried to explain that’s usually not a problem, but I was told at the hospital to get these ASAP since my nerve block would soon wear off and I’ll need to have meds in my system beforehand. They said in order to rush this I had to wait inside and they’ll have it in 15min.I can’t walk due to my surgery, so my friend who drove me went in for me. Over an hour later after not hearing anything, my friend asked about the status of the meds and was told that they never received anything. The explanation was apparently whoever put in the information never input it into their system, was from a different department and normally doesn’t work in the pharmacy. If we would’ve just decided to leave and wait for the meds to be filled, I wouldn’t have received them. Exactly what I needed to hear post op. Enjoy the one star.Update: after 2 hours the meds were given to my friend in a bag. Once we made it home, opened the bag and realized they only gave us 1 out of 3 medications. Is there a way to give zero stars?
Need assistance with clipping. ZERO interest to help me.
Pharmacy staff is very rude. When I asked simply why my prescription would take so long the pharmacist immediately raised his voice and said “That’s how long it takes!”.In a profession were sympathy and understanding is needed this Pharmacy has none! I do not recommend to have prescriptions filled here.
I just went to Walgreens to get a prescription filled. The orange haired associate informed me that they were closing in a minute. I said I will come back and pick it up tomorrow. It is pain medication. He came back to tell me it isnt due until tomorrow and to come back then. First things first, Florida law states that you CAN refill your pain medication up to 5 days before the last fill date. He just didnt want to fill it because they were closing. This is the WORST PHARMACY I have ever used. Prescriptions are NEVER ready when they promise they will be, they lie to you and tell you it is State policy and play God with your medications. We obviously already went to the doctor and these are the medications that a REAL doctor has prescribed to you for a reason. I will never give my business to them again. They should treat people better than that. They are not our judge and jury. I honestly will go out of my way to go to Sams off of Goldenrod where they treat you like a human being.
Excellent pharmacy staff ! Caring, courteous and friendly!! Best weve had in a while! I truly appreciate their attention to their customers needs. A very busy pharmacy but their customers come first!!!
I just called corporate regarding the manager at this location. I didn’t get her name, but it’s the tall lady with long black hair and rotten front tooth. A corporate supervisor will be in contact with you soon to educate you on strictly following the Walgreens store policy and never make up your own store policy. You’re welcome :)
I made an online appointment to get the MMR booster. I showed up and guy working said they dont take online appointments, that they just take walk-ins. I checked the appointment and confirmed with him I did make an online appointment for that store, and he confirmed it was their store but reiterated they dont make online appointments. I said he might want to let Walgreen know about this flaw, and he said, They wont do anything about it. They didnt have the booster that I had registered for online, so it was a waste of a trip. Dont make an online appointment for this location.
A convenient Walgreens store that offers Fedex Concierge Service. Thanks.
Pharmacy is horrible. Stood in line inside for over 20 minutes with two people in front of me very obviously not picking up prescriptions as I was trying to do. Several employees walked back and forth and ignored me all while the drive thru was serviced. I actually had to leave the store and go through the drive thru to get someone to acknowledge me. Ridiculous that it’s always like this at this store.
The pharmacy in this place is no good. Dont fill your prescription here they give falls information. Publix is the place to go always on time and very nice
The rest of the store is fine but pharmacy is always short staffed as opposed to demand. Even if there have been 1-2 people ahead of me, I have never left the cash register anywhere from 15-20mins before. So annoying! Seems like people who have no clue of management handle the pharmacy.
I waited 20 minutes at the drive through and was never greeted by an employee. There was also no customers on the inside counter and I was the only person outside. They said over the intercom they would be right with me but after 20 minutes I just decided to be late to work instead.
Horrible Staff judgement. They had me come back over 3 times just to tell me they would not fill my xanax which I take for horrible anxiety and am going to go into serious death threatening withdrawal now, and it is not my fault. They have filled it for me every month no problem till now all of a sudden. They are discriminating who they deal with or something with no care or obvious knowledge of medication and what happens if they cannot take it. They mislead me over a week and a half saying to come back as if it is a joke. I dealt with both shifts and will be contacting an attorney.
Horrible service at pharmacy! I dropped my prescription off 30 minutes before closing was told by the pharmacist to come back at 10 a.m. in the morning and it would be ready. I come back at 10 am and it isnt ready. Pharmist told me to come back in an hour.. I go back at 2 p.m. and it still isnt ready...told to come back in an 45 min....I waited until 5pm..now Im here at 5 p.m. and it still isnt ready told itll be ready in 15 minutes! what is up with this Pharmacy! I should have went to the one on redbug
Service is okay. Could be better. Im talking about the management.
I have had SO many issues with this pharmacy that I dont even know where to start. If you can get your prescriptions filled ANYWHERE ELSE - do it!
Always have wh!i i nee
Very rude and stupid I live in winter springs and had to go to this location and they refused to take my prescription cause I dont live around!!!! So if I cant find the medicine anywhere else what should I do!!Go die!!I will never go there againYou dont have the right to reject any prescriptionYou are a pharmacist and this is your job
Busy but a helpful pharmacy staff
