I went to Sew Ciety looking for some fabric and batting for my first quilting project. They had a great selection and lots of small discounted fabric pieces. The shop was surprisingly large and busy. But I found what I needed and was helped quickly at the cutting table and register. Note for new customers: driving down to the lower level saves you a bit of walking.
Found then during COVID 2020 shop hop. Didnt spend much time there, had to get to Colorado springs to finish hop but thought it was a nice store with a nice selection of fabric.Went back recently to get material for our annual sisters quilt. Very helpful staff, trying to help the three of us find what we were looking for.Not the closest store but worth the trip.
Friendly and so helpful, I cant wait to shop there again. Embroidery heaven.
A few years ago I found this most wonderful and amazing store. They carry both Viking & Pfaff sewing machines and the ability to work on them when needed. I bought a beautiful machine that also has embroidery capability and spent three days with fabulous classes learning to use the machine. I have not been able to go back to the store because I live six hours away, but hope to in the future. The people who own and work the store Are passionate and knowledgeable about all things sewing.?They have all the supplies and all types of classes so you can continue learning whatever your interest may be. and now they are doing things online so that you can continue learning and participating. 8/2020
Great shop. Lots going on & very friendly staff. I will go back even though its about 2 hrs away.
I went there to get an old serger fixed. He couldnt fix it. So I picked it up and paid the $30 to look it over. Due to COVID-19 I asked one of the young ladies bring it to my car. It was missing a piece so she went back in to get it. Yesterday, I went to see if I could change the cover plate to see if that was the problem but the pressure foot and attachment which was on the machine when I dropped it off was missing. I called them this morning to see if just by chance they still had it and the workers were RUDE!!! And said, what do you want me to do about it? And, dont you have another foot to use? At least look and even if I did, the attachment for the arm is missing too!!! It had been a while so I can understand it not being there or her not seeing it but being rude is not called for. And I know I left it with the machine because one of the workers and I were trying to get it to run BEFORE I turned it in to get serviced. If you ever choose to use this place to service you equipment MAKE SURE that you take a picture of your machine or have a itemized form signed by them with the name of the parts that can be removed. And when you pick up make sure all the parts are there. I was in a rush, I didnt fully check the machine when I picked it up so shame on me but for being RUDE, SHAME ON THEM!!!There are other dealers in the area who sell Pfaffs and have service technicians for your machines like Rocky Mountain Sewing and Above and Beyond. I would highly suggest going to them because at least they treat you with kindness.
I was impressed by their staff. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I ended up buying a new Viking sewing machine and they gave me free instruction classes.
Nice quilt store. Good variety of fabrics & patterns for quilts & other sewing protects
Love this place! Especially the staff. Always helpful!
Expensive. Great selection. Help is usually busy, but they are great
Stopped by today looking for some things for a project and was helped right away. Sat down at the newest Pfaff and WOW. These ladies are adorable. Answered all of my questions. Thank you so much for your help today. This store is amazing.
Brought our Miele vacuum in for service twice over the course of about 6 months but unfortunately they were not able to get to the cause of the problem. We thought we would just have to buy another one. To our surprise since they were unable to fix the vacuum they exchanged it for a brand new one. Completely unexpected. Kudos!
Amazing store! Such great selection and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable! I’ll be visiting often!
Lovely place. Great fabric selection, knowledgeable friendly staff. Just bought a new sewing machine from them and it includes a free 2-hour introductory training session, one on one with me, my machine and their instructor! I am delighted.
When we first moved to Castle Rock 7 years ago I stopped into this store and was made to feel like I didnt belong. Stopped in yesterday to give them another chance. Wandered around without anyone to help me again with the feeling like I wasnt a regular so they werent interested in helping me. I finally interrupted a conversation between the staff and was told they didnt have what I was looking for without even really figuring out what it was I wanted. I was told I should try Hobby Lobby. I did - found everything I needed and then some!Sad that a local business wasnt interested in helping someone local! Im just getting started in the quilting craft and will be purchasing many more fabrics, etc. Good thing theres a new Hobby Lobby in town!
Outstanding store. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. Fabulous fabrics. Best batiks ever! Will definitely come back! Must see!
It was wonderful. Filled with lots of good quality material and a very friendly helpful staff. I would definitely go again.
Everyone at Sew-Ciety is so friendly and helpful. They greet you as friends would. The classes are wonderful and the staff is so patient.I would not by my fabric anywhere else the quality and selection is wonderful.
Very nice quilt shop, they have a reasonable selection of fabric. They also sell embroidery and sewing machine, this takes up a large part of the store.
Great store. Staff is friendly and helpful. Excellent variety of machine embroidery.
Had an awesome all-day class -- learned so much! Great store - great instructors!
Sew-Ciety is way over priced!! I took my sewing machine in to Sew-Ciety to get a tuneup on the machine. They quoted me a price of $140.00 and told me that I would not get it less expensive anywhere else. I was able to get my sewing machine tuned up at Above and Beyond for $89.00.
Only helpful if you plan on taking a class or buyingv a sewing machine...i only do hand work and was basically made to feel as if I wasnt welcome.
Very friendly & helpful staff. Great product selection.
Huge selection of fabrics, patterns and software! Well worth a visit! Excellent classes.
I took my Serger in on the 27th of May to have it tuned up and repaired. I explained to Carol that I would be out of town, and didnt need it until the 20th of June. I mentioned to her that it needed new knives. She wrote the word Knives on the order slip. Here it is the 23rd of June, and when I went to pick it up; first they couldnt find it. Then when they did, they told me that the repair person looked at it and said that it needed Knives. I said, yes, that is what I told Carol when I dropped it off (it even was written on the order slip). Bob the repair man never worked on it nor did he order the knives.I sew for a living, and I needed the machine back to meet my deadlines. While Im not the Quilter that frequents this shop, I am certainly a loyal customer. I purchased my Opal 670 from them, and feet, and fabric, etc. Now I am stuck without a repaired machine, and I cannot finish my work. This will not only cost me money, but will prevent me from returning to this place of business.
I wont go back. I dropped off two machines to be serviced - a tune up on my serger and a tune up and button hole lever replacement on my Janome 6600. They charged me $30 for the Janome service for a bench fee. I asked what that meant and was told it was to diagnose the problem. Diagnose?! I had written down and told them the problem. Keeping my machine for 2 weeks and charging me $30 to do NOTHING is ridiculous. I understand they may not do Janome replacement parts but expected a tune up at least - not nothing done or not to be charged for zero work. Disappointed.
Very friendly and helpful. Full service for fabric, patterns and classes.
Love the classes, the batik fabric collection and most of all, the friendly, helpful, upbeat wonderful staff!
Great place for classes. Everyone is helpful !
Open on Thursdays during Shop Hop
Very expensive !
