I called a different company to fix our furnace issues. That guy said the motor was going bad, which would have been a very expensive repair. I called Avalanche for a second opinion. Nate came in, listened to the furnace and made a simple repair. Now the furnace works great and I didnt have to buy a new motor!!

I recently bought a home in Castle Rock. One of the inspection pieces noted that both of the furnaces had not been served in a long time and were borderline dangerous with the accumulation of dust. We scheduled a total system cleaning for 9/9 with Avalanche. I was quoted $300 for the first furnace; $250 for the second, because it was in the attic (usually the second is $150); and $20 per vent after the initial 10. I thought it was fair, and based on the google reviews, it seemed like a great company.Unfortunately, after Andy confirmed the intial appointment -- Jacob called the morning of to reschedule because of health concerns. I rescheduled plans for my dogs to be taken care of day of and was glad to have them come out on 9/29. Jacob arrived shortly after 9am this morning, only to find out that they cannot actually service a furnace in the attic. (Not sure why I was specifically quoted more for that -- or why the appointment was even scheduled if they werent able to accomodate.)The only saving grace was Jacob was able to call another local company and get me an appointment for today with a company who CAN accomodate attic furnaces. Though -- Ive had to re-arrange my work calendar and dog sitters to accomodate. Thats why Ive given them 3 stars -- otherwise it would have been 1.

We recently had Avalanche HVAC out to clean & inspect our HVAC units. Both times the service specialists were professional & informative. They helped educate me on how our units operate & suggested regular maintenance that we could do to help our 22 yr old system keep running. I liked that they were not quick to recommend that we needed new equipment. I then had them return due to thinking my humidifier wasn’t working. Again I got educated, as it was working & needed to be turned up. Again, a few suggestions to keep my old system running. Love the honesty & will definitely use them in the future.

The replacement of my rusted-through furnace was done in a very quick time frame and space heaters made the short wait quite comfortable. Both Andy and Jacob are friendly, expert, and accommodating. Its great to have a working furnace again!

We had Jacob from Avalanche replace our aging HVAC system. The new Champion system he installed is month old now, and given this bumper season weather, weve had both the AC and heating modes operational. Obviously a month is a relatively short sample period for something you hope to have for decades, but so far were extremely happy with the system. We lived in Avon, CO for 30 years and had radiant in-floor heat with a Lochinvar boiler. Sorry. Really the only way to go.We have been in Castle Rock, CO for 18 months in a new home with a Goodman forced hot air heater. So this will be our second winter. I am big on preventive maintenance. You can search for a HVAC service and get a lot of hits, with no verification of the quality of service or knowledge of components.I called our cleaning gal (who we love) and her Castle Rock fire fighter husband recommended Avalanche without hesitation. I contacted the owner (Andy Fezza) and he was at our home on November 25. On time professional and courteous service. All was OK with our Goodman furnace and he told me Goodman is now owned by Amana and is a much better unit then they were 10 years ago. Andy runs the business with himself and son Jacob. He started in business in 2012 and has had other employees that did not work out. He will be returning in a few weeks to clean out our vent system, which he said is not a major undertaking since we have only been here 18 months. I give Andy and Avalanche HVAC a 10+ star rating.

Restoring faith in contract services. Jacob did a great job on our rain gutters and gutter guards. Due to weather he was not able to get the job done in a day, but he communicated throughout the job and was great to work with. I am very impressed and will call them first for any additional services that I need done.

Made an appointment to have my furnace looked at as was having issues. They called to rearrange to later in the afternoon which was no problem.The problem was that they never showed up and did not bother to call they just left me hanging without heat for the weekend. At least do me the courtesy of saying you can’t make it. Not funny Avalanche ...not funny at all.

Nice guys for sure but that is about it. We had our furnace leak completely misdiagnosed. They fixed a problem that didnt need fixing first and when that didnt fix it we were told we needed a new furnace. We asked for a replacement cost of the suspected part and were told they had to come back out again and then no call no showed the appointment. Then we found the actual problem was a plugged humidifier drain leaking water back into the furnace. This only cost us a service call from our second opinion company for $200 not a $3,500 new furnace. I dont know where to start, the guy was nice but the quality of service is poor. Are you sure you need to spend thousands on a new furnace? So glad we got another opinion! Be careful...Update: both Andy and Jacob reached out to me with concerns that the misdiagnosis was not intentional, and I do believe them. I appreciate their concern and efforts to make things right. I updated my review to 3 of 5 stars as I think they made an honest mistake but I still almost dropped a ton of money on an easy fix.

We used Avalanche on a commercial type job and they did an outstanding job. I tried to look for someone local and they responded, gave me an estimate, showed up when they said they would and were extremely cordial and knowledgeable to my customer. At one point we needed an extra part that wasnt part of the original scope. Someone ran back to their shop, crafted what we needed, and had it back to the site to install along with the original material after I told our customer it might take a week before we are back to install the extra work! I was very happy. They were happy. I would use them in the future and also recommend.

Avalanche did a great job replacing our gutters and downspouts. The weather we were having made it difficult to replace and hang new gutters and downspouts. Every time they were scheduled to to the job we either had snow or strong winds. Avalanche keep us informed the whole time and rescheduled to meet our needs. The company is very professional and would remand them to any one who needs gutter work.

I called Avalanche Home Systems for a routine service call on my furnace which turned out to be a failing condensate motor. It was under warranty so they ordered a new one for me. When it came in they promptly made an appointment to install it. After the install they noticed that the condensate exhaust was not angled properly all the way back to the furnace. This prompted me to rework the exhaust with a single piece of PVC and support it so that the angle was correct all the way back. The furnace now runs as it was designed to do without any extra inside air for burner combustion. Thank you Avalanche.

These guys are all rock solid. Weve used them for 5 years now to replace our AC unit, maintain an old furnace, and now for our new furnace. I trust and appreciate their work everytime. They go above and beyond to do things right and keep you updated on the project. When we got the new furnace they even created a custom filter door/holder in the air intake that was the same size as the old filters so we can use all of the ones wed bought for the old unit. I recently had Avalanche Home Systems come to my home to check out my old furnace and water heater. The service people arrived timely, were very polite and answered all of my questions, but best of all, found out my problems and fixed them immediately. They ended up selling me new units, however due to the age of my current units, that did not surprise me. They kept my budget and needs in mind and sold me what I needed. If I have any problems in the future, I will give them a call plus use them for annual maintenance.

I had no heat on a 10-degree day in January. Looked at the unit and thought it was the gas valve that was not functioning correctly. Googled the part number and found the part cost around $100 retail. Called a company who came out, confirmed it was the gas valve and quoted me almost $1200. I called Avalanche and spoke to Jacob who said that he would be by today to drop off space heaters and can come tomorrow morning at 9 to make the repair. Jacob was at my house an hour or two later, dropped off space heaters and was at my house the following day at 8:55 like he said he would. He charged me a reasonable amount for services performed and did everything he said he would do. I cannot recommend this company enough. Fast, friendly, affordable and do what they say they are going to do. 10 stars!

Old school professionalism that spoke volumes to me. Not only was the response time, price and final product great but it was the little things. Jacob and Tanner were conscientious about calling when running just 15 minutes late, they cleaned up after themselves ( I NEVER experience that any more) and the area under the old product, they explained things in a fashion I could comprehend, and they were friendly even when the job ran several hours late.
