I just used Midwest Boats for the first time. It will not be my last. Their professionalism was excellent. The cost was very fair. I was really impressed with the amount of time they spent with me, explaining the issues and helping me going forward. They went above and beyond. I highly recommend this company!!!!

These guys should get 10 stars. these guys are second to none.. always very helpful and give good advice. Kathy and Terry are friendly and always very helpful. If I have a problem they always get me in as soon as they can..They are usually pretty busy but always get me in quickly.Ryan is the master mechanic. He knows his stuff and always does an excellent job.. So glad I found these guys. They are top notch in my book. I would highly recommend them.

I used Midwest Boat Sales and Repair for an engine issue. The boat was taking on water on my first outing of the season. They were very good at allowing me to schedule and drop off the boat for diagnosis. The repairs were made and the bill for service was quite acceptable.I was told to get my boat into the water and run it a short time, to confirm there were no other issues with the engine. After numerous attempts to go boating, which were rained out, I was finally able to dip the back of the boat into the lake. We turned the key and nothing happened. I was upset that I had allowed my battery to die, and drove home to put the charger on the battery. After 4 hours of charging, I noticed the charger had not moved on the charging numbers. I decided that maybe the battery was not working, so I purchased a new battery.I drove the boat back to the lake and tried again. Again, there was no response from the boat or engine. I called my auto mechanic to question him on what could be my problem. He asked if the starter was hooked up. I checked the starter, and found no cable attached. The cable was then attached by myself, and the boat was able to be run.I called Midwest Boat Sales and Repair to explain what happened, and to simply let them know to be sure and reattach the cable to the starter after such repairs. This is when this review turned bad!The lady I spoke with got very defensive, and told me they had run the boat for 20 minutes and that their notes state the starter was not working all the time. I asked if they had removed the starter to replace frost plugs. She told me that they had not, and that if they had removed the starter, my bill would have been much higher.I have taken the boat to my mechanic, to check the starter, and he told me that the frost plug behind the starter is new. Obviously the starter had been removed.My only reason for calling was to let them know they had not replaced the starter cable. The response from the lady that answered is the reason for the poor rating. She got quite defensive, quickly, and only defended their work, without listening to my problem. I would not have reviewed if not for the response.That is not good customer service!

Dont expect to hear a nice warm tone from anyone! They get you in to pay and push you out as fast as possible. Price was fair but simply wont go back bc theyre very rude!
