The owner helped me get started in brewing. He encouraged me to do my own reading and exploring but was always easily reachable by email when I had specific questions. I opted to start right out with all-grain brewing, probably the most difficult way to make beer, and he was very helpful and encouraging. He has always been very friendly and welcoming to my three small children, who love visiting his store. Cost was an important reason why I started brewing, and he has helped me learn techniques that save me money, even though they obviously dont help his bottom line. He provides great service and is very good about having malt ready for me when I am in a hurry and call ahead of time. This business is a great resource.

This is a great little shop for the home-brewer! I went in here looking for a few supplies to make my first batch of hard cider. The shopkeeper (didnt catch his name) was an incredible help to me, and didnt push me or lead me to unnecessary purchases. Prices are unbeatable, especially for a smaller shop. Ive compared with other major retailers, online and brick/mortar, and the prices are very fair. A great selection of goods tops it off. I will definitely be making many trips back to Kitchen Wines and Brew.

Ordered hops. Was a little shocked by shipping cost. Emailed them. Helped me get a better shipping rate. Even prefilled the invoice for me. All I had to do was verify and pay. Very pleasant experience. Cheers.

Kitchen Wines is a fantastic resource for all your wine and beer making needs. They carry all but the most obscure ingredients, and equipment for all levels of home brewing. If youre just starting out, theyll hook you up with a fairly priced starter kit with the essentials you need and a book to get you started. If youre ramping up, the owner Tom (and his dog) is very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. And if youre getting serious about zymurgy, this shop is the perfect place to get connected with C.R.A.Z.E., the local brewing club, who even put on live brewing demonstrations in the parking lot from time to time.If youre thinking about getting into brewing or winemaking but arent sure where to start, this is it.
