I walked into the store having zero idea what I was doing but I needed help!!! My makeup was peeling and it was gross looking and EMMA!!!!!.... helped me PHENOMENALLY she was amazing. She showed me multiple products and I got ALL of them and I used them this morning and oh wow what a difference. Thanks for being awesome Emma and thank you for your patience. You rock!

Ulta Beauty really dropped the ball on my most recent visit to their store. I had been getting many texts from Ulta in the last week or so announcing sales, gifts with purchases, you know the drill. So with a friend in tow we went to the Ulta store. When a sales associate approached us & asked if we needed any help finding anything my friend said my friend was thinking you were having a big sale. The sales associate said oh & then walked away. Any thinking sales person would have replied with we have this or that on sale. Or would have taken it as an opening to open a dialog. Ulta did have some things on sale & clearance hidden among their typically high priced merchandise. They didnt have what I was looking for but I will say they are one of the few stores left open where you can find a plethora of cosmetics & hair care products.

I love ulta, when I go shopping in store. However online shopping is a scam and nothing ever arrives on time. They legit forgot about my whole $100 + order through the ulta app (for a month)... I called customer service to try to cancel the order but they claim they “cant” so they sent me a $20 gift card as if i even want to shop with them anymore.

I usually dont do reviews but I just felt I had too. I walked into CF store not sure what i was looking for when i bumped into one of the ladies working there. Let me tell you she was one of the best people I have ever met. She made you feel at home and to be honest she could of got me to buy anything! So thank you for all the great staff you have. They honestly all did a great job! Love coming to this location!!

When the store first opened the service was horrible. The staff was never there to help, they were to busy discussing what happened over the weekend. Im happy to say that this store is not like that anymore. The last several times Ive entered the store Ive been greeted with smiling faces ready to help. Thank you for putting the proper management and policies into place because now I enjoy my visits.

I went in looking for a particular soap for men I heard was less expensive then the actual company who makes it. I was right. I went in, asked for it and was shown where to find it. Being a dude, we like to get in and get out without much looking around for other things not planned on getting. The girls were friendly, helpful and knew their store.

I went in there a few minutes before they closed (didnt realize they closed at 9) and they lady that helped me was super nice and she was very friendly to talk to and work with on buying cologne. Im definitely going to go here again in the future.

The staff is so willing to help answer questions and find the exact right thing you need.

Every time I come into Ulta Im welcomed with a smile. Ema, the prestige associate, is always so helpful when Im looking for something particular and she always lets me know if theres a deal like buy one get one half off. I always enjoy shopping here!

I like the variety of products and prices. I bought the best hair dryer Ive ever had here. Wide variety of hair and skin care and makeup. If you cant find it here, it probably doesnt exist.

I have always loved CF Ulta because the workers are always so nice. One lady in particular is a true jem. She was super helpful, friendly, and fun to be around. I didnt catch her name, but MAC girl that did my foundation and conclear you are slaying the game!

Some staff are good others have clown makeup and are too busy chit chatting to take inventory so I’ve found they don’t always carry the shade I need. But they get away with it because they have no competition for makeup stores in this town.

Had my hair done by Amber a week ago but decided it wasnt quite what I had wanted. Called her up, got in within days and she not only fixed it, but did not charge me for it! Great overall experience.

The reason I’m giving Ulta a low rating is not because of their makeup side I’m giving them a low rating because of their prices at their salon..I’m sorry but $55 for a HAIRCUT with absolutely no special treatment (hand massage, temple massage, head massage, etc) is ridiculous. Not to mention Ulta does not have the atmosphere to even have charge that absurd amount, so ridiculous. Would not recommend at all! I will only be spending my money on the makeup side.

At least 6 employees working, yet not one available to help.You see, 3 were talking to each other, 1 initially started to help me, then left forever to help someone else who came in after me.1 was at the register while the last one was watching me, but suspiciously, like I was going to shoplift. I will never get my hair cut at this salon ever again, and I wouldnt ever tell anyone to go here, either. On Oct 15th I went in for a bit of a change for the length of my hair. It was about 2/3 the way down my back. The girl who cut my hair, TeAna, did a worse job than I could have done myself. I asked her to cut about 7 inches off, and then cut the layers back into my hair. Now, I dont get my hair cut very often, and I figured it was just a change that made me not happy, so I tried for a few weeks to live with it (most people with long hair will know what Im talking about when they get a large amount cut off) Im happy with the length of the cut, thats not my issue. My issue is the front is longer than the back, there are hardly any layers in my hair, theres no framing around the face, and the sides of my hair are cut very blunt. I called and spoke to one of the managers of the store recently, explained to them the issue, as well as that I have moved to Cedar Rapids, and cannot make it up here very often, was promised a call on Saturday 11/19 and I have still received no phone call from the salon manager. the stylist didnt bother to run a comb through my hair from the start of the cut, to see how my hair was cut, or how my layers fell. The cut is choppy, she texture cut the ends to hide the blunt edges.She told me the person she had just finished with was crying when they left, that should have been my clue, not to let her touch my hair.

Im almost overwhelmed walking into Ulta because there is so much great stuff! I like that everything is grouped by price point, very helpful.

Love shopping for my beauty needs,but sometimes it is hard to get help.

Ulta is hit or miss when it comes to service, most of the employees ignore you, which is fine for me because I generally know what I want and where to find it. My problem is that they tend to make up answers if they dont know what I’m talking about. A few months ago I asked where they had moved my shampoo to because it wasnt where it typically was, and the girl told me that they discontinued the brand, which was a bull face lie because I found it after walking around looking for another brand to try. Yesterday I was told that they no longer sell my favorite brand of mascara, and while the girl seemed very confident and knowledgeable in her answer, I dont know if I believe her. I know I sometimes go into the store without a face full of Instagram worthy makeup on, but I am an esthetician and I dont appreciate being talked down to or being lied to. I can’t imagine what it’s like to go in there actually looking for help, I can’t imagine it’s a good experience. I am making a habit of not shopping here unless I absolutely have to. They do have a good selection and the store is clean and organized, and prices aren’t much better or worse than anywhere else.

I went into Ulta in Cedar Falls today to purchase some haircare products. I was attempting to purchase one bottle of shampoo and one bottle of conditioner. Each item was $10. There was a sign in front of the items on the shelf advertising the items as bogo 50% off. When I brought the items to the register, they rung up incorrectly at bogo 40% off. It took three cashiers, and they still couldt figure this equation out to make them ring up bogo 50%. I tried over and over again to explain that 2 items at $10 each on a bogo 50% off promotion would be $15 before tax. They absolutely did not understand this simple math equation. They tried to ring them up several times, each time getting a different total. FINALLY, they said they had it right, so I gave the cashier my coupon for $5 off of a $15 purchase. The cashier couldnt get the coupon to work. At this time, cashier #3 told me it was because my total was $14.92. I asked how that could possibly be, because my items were BOGO 50% off, at $10 each, equaling EXACTLY $15. She said I was wrong, and that two items at exactly $10 each on a bogo 50% promotion, by their manual calculation was $14.92. I just cannot believe how incompetent these cashiers were. At that point, I simply walked out the door. Maybe Ulta should make a very simple math test a part of the hiring process. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Original review nov 2018Set up a hair cut and color and stylist called 15 mins before appt to cancel because her current appt was taking longer to color than expected. I was offered another appt tomorrow but im unavailble. Sure I understand, but I drove 35 mins to go to my appt. Store itself has good customer service and products. I am just really disappointed with the salon.Editing my review may 17 2019Their customer service storewide has been going downhill. Hiring people who arent friendly, not caring about customer retention. I drive 35 mins to their store, and they are expensive so Im going to have high expectations. Ill start buying online before I step foot in that place again. What a waste of time and Ive been shopping there for years.

Today I had the best experience at Ulta beauty. I was just going to buy some cheap drug store cosmetics. When Kayleen from Cliniique helped me find quality products my skin could benefit from. In the past when I would shop the drugstore products I felt ignored. Today I was treated like VIP by Kayleen.

I go here quite often but every time I go I seem to be not noticed unless Im just walking in the door where they are pretty good at saying hello. I love their make up specially the Ulta brand. The prestige brands are also pretty good. But every time I go there is seems to be a complete different staff so I can never rely on one employee helping me figure something out . I also used to go to that skin dermatologica center. Chelsea always did a very good job but it was just so expensive that I just eventually stop going. if they would have more coupons or lowered their prices for the dermatologica center I would be more open to start going again. I have received one coupon from a different lady at the dermatologica center but it only last for a week and it was very difficult to try to get an hour-long session in a week. I also thought it was quite strange that another lady at the same dermatologica are is picking up someone elses client. I do like that they have a reward system and that you can eventually get money off Your purchases.

I dont wear makeup but this store is awesome
