This place is superb. The service was old world spectacular. I have the ham broccoli and cheese quiche. The quiche was light and flavorful, with perfect texture. The pecan pie is to die for. I would definitely go back.

The service then, and still now is so fantastic! Very friendly, helpful and kind! The food is AMAZING too, and YES hopefully we will be back that way!

Fun fun fun. More like a Tea Room type atmosphere and menu, with lots of interesting and Iowa made items to buy. The menu changes daily with limited choices, but the food and soups are delicious, along with awesome desserts. Prices are very reasonable and the ambiance makes for a relaxing place to visit with friends. The people who work there are super friendly and so helpful. Love it! Ps, seating is limited and popular, so might want to call in a reservation for a larger group.....

We had a great brunch here. Bacon Swiss quiche was very good but there are chunks of onion if youre not a fan of onion. The gluten free brownie and smoothies are very good as well. Highly recommend the blueberry cream cheese coffee cake and the Mexican spice mocha. Soooo good!!! Lots of decorative stuff in the upstairs of the barn at good prices also.

This was the 1st time I had been here. My mom and I went for my cousins Bridal Shower that was held there. Definately will be making a trip back this fall/winter before they close for the winter.

Cute little place. Good food. No real service...you order at the counter. Full of unique, local, folksy type products for sale.

MY sister took our Mom and me to Barn Happy just outside of Cedar Falls, Iowa. We had a delightful time! You do need reservations so be sure to call ahead as it is a very popular venue!!We ate lunch there and found it to be very tasty and they offer a nice variety and even Gluten Free. Their specialty desserts are incredibly delectable! The staff is very friendly and it is a well oiled machine in efficiency. They also have several vendors who display their artifacts throughout the barn restaurant (so much to see and purchase if you find something you cant resist-and you probably will). IF you are interested in renting a facility for an event; they can also accommodate that. This place should be on your MUST VISIT list so you can experience it yourself 🌞

Barn Happy is one of my favorite places! The drinks are good, the food is delicious, and I love the homemade Iowa goods. I’ve been here around 20 times, and I never get tired of it. 10/10 recommend!

Amazing home cooked food at a great price.

Food was homemade. Very tasty tuna salad, coleslaw and bread. The shop is a fun time. Very helpful staff.

It was great stopping by and getting such a warm reception. Thank you Kris and Jane for making me and my family feel welcome.The coffee was great, try the Southern Pecan, and the Raspberry Delicious was a perfect pairing. I also heard that the blueberry coffee was excellent as well. The antique and gift store above was the kind of kitschy cluttered that a bargain hunter would love.Good food and good times to be had at Barn Happy. 😁

Call ahead for a table reservation, even on weekdays they are packed. Best place to shop for unique Iowa sourced gifts. Take hoe a beautiful, reasonably priced flower arrangement too (available in summer)! Casual and relaxed environment is always inviting. Youll feel like your going to lunch at your best friends home!

Stopped here on the way to the university for a competition since the reviews were so good. What a great place for seriously great food! Lunch was delicious and what a treat compared to where we normally would stop on a road trip. Hoping we can stop in on the way home!

This is the best family eatery!! Homemade goodness at its best. The top of the barn has nice collectables and antiques. All very reasonable. The gift shop has many locally made items. Its a must stop for all. Truly Iowan🙂

Delicious quiche, amazing bacon, apple coleslaw and yummy blueberry cream cheese cake! It is a quaint and fun experience to eat at Barn Happy! It is fun to look at the ever changing Iowa merchandise in the lower level and to shop through the antiques in the old haymow! What a fun outing!

Amazing food had the tuna sandwhich, cup of soup and side of watermelon. It was fresh food without any junk, it is a amazing dining atmosphere with antiques and iowa themed restaurant. Great politeness from the staff! A hidden gem in the cedar Valley!

I just visited with four co-workers. The five of us (all guys) found good food, great atmosphere, and a room full of attractive women both on staff and as patrons--whats not to like? There is no place like it in the area. I only wish we had discovered Barn Happy when we first got to Cedar Falls, and not during our last week here.

Very neat place to visit and good deals can be had in the upper level of the barn!!!! I bought a antique paper cutter with the big long handle like all school rooms used to have back in the day. Keep your fingers safe while using it though!! It works excellent and will work awesome for cropping photos and for scrapbooking.....cost = $25.00. I thought that was a great deal myself for something thatll easily last me the rest of my life and is os 10x better quality than ANY paper cutters you can buy today that are all plastic!!!! Ill definately be popping in from time to time to see if I can pick up anymore great deals. Oh yeah, they also have excellent snacks and meals there too!!!!
