Mike, the GM here, was so respectful and kind to me on one of the worst days of life - and Im pretty old! - and I will always be grateful for his help both when I rented storage space and when I finished using the space. He is the best!

I reserved a truck at least two months ago and they called me two days before picking up my rental that they didnt have any trucks available and I would have to go to Marshalltown, the next closest facility with a truck, to get one. I am moving across the country, a 16 hour drive, and now I have to unexpectedly add another two hours on to drive to Marshalltown and back the morning of my move. An earlier heads up would have been nice so I could have better options, not notifying me with about 36 hours left until pickup.

I was told they would have a truck for me in CF but they messed up and are making me drive 1.5 extra hrs for a truck. Don’t recommend them, terrible customer service as well. No humans to talk to and everyone is busy and on hold.

The U-haul store makes up rules they should actually be closed for unfair business practices based on race ...theyre garbage and Im debating if I want my money back for the rental

Went in to rent a truck or a van for two days. First they told that the trucks were booked for the days in question and I understood that, however then they said they had Vans available. So I went around back to take a look and told them Id take it, however they then told that they didnt have any available. The staff really needs to get it together. They told me one thing and than told me another in less than five minutes. Felt like I was lied to.

Weve used them several times. They have packing supplies, ropes, rental equipment-almost anything you need for a move. They WILL match competators rates; found that out today from an employee. Ended up saving us about $60. Gave it 4 stars because theyre understaffed. Its usually a 30 min+ wait. The guys ARE friendly enough. Theres just not enough of them.

The storage unit I rented still had items in it and had not been cleaned. When I called to complain, the manager suggested it was my fault for not just picking a different unit. There were several other units around that had tags identifying them as ones to be cleaned that were months old. I have yet to hear back from the regional office, despite several efforts to contact. I will not be using U-Haul again.

Not a fan of having to wait on hold for 30 minutes just to confirm their hours.

Over priced, cant ever get ahold of onsite manager, once late paying bill cant ever get access again.

Reserved a trailer weeks in advance and they call us a day before we need it and say they gave our rental away. Everything else is booked as well BECAUSE ITS A DAY BEFORE WE NEED IT. Thanks for screwing us U haul what’s the point of reservations if you just give them away.

I have tried calling the Cedar Falls location twice in the past two weeks. Hung up after 10 minutes on hold both times.

I was told the day too pick my truck up i gave them a call and said my truck rental is there asked him if i could pick it up that day they told me yes i ask if that would be a extra cost the guy told me he wouldnt charge me if i wanted to pick it up early by one day then when i took it back the day i was told to then asked him why he was charging me for that day he told me it would go back on my card after a few days still havent seen it and its been over a week i will never recommend them too anyone i know for there moving needs anymore
