Since discovering this place through coworkers, I only take my car here now. Everyone I have dealt with (usually the owner) is very knowledgeable about whatever issue you come to them with. They are fair and honest and the prices are VERY reasonable. I recently was there due to a huge issue with my AC and they took care of it quickly. There was a part that they purchased for my car that was not working as they were hoping and they ordered another part and swapped it out with no extra charge. If you are unsure of some of the mechanics here in Austin, then you really should check out First Choice Automotive in Cedar Park. They really are great and honest people here.

This shop is by far one of the best shops I’ve been to in a very long time. I always try to bring my vehicle to smaller family owned shops. We are only in the area for the week and they were able to fit me in, and do everything the truck needed within a day. Great service and all around friendly staff. Brought my car in over the summer to have general maintenance and repairs done before I went back to school; the repairs done were of good quality, and driving my car is more enjoyable than ever! Everything was done in a timely fashion, and attention to detail was great.

The service was awesome and the timing was just like the gentleman said that it would be. No add on sales neither. I explained to the gentleman at the front desk that I was unable to print out a coupon and he honored it any way. My first and not my last time there neither. The cost was more reasonable than I thought it would be too.

This is one the best experiences Ive had at a shop ever. We needed an oil change, rotors and pads, and transmission service done in the middle of a 7k mile road trip on our 10k pound E350 super duty duelly motorhome. They took us in with short notice and we were good to roll out same day. Super nice folks, flexible with our needs, and fair rates.

Tony and his crew do good and honest work. The honest part is whats hard to find nowadays. I usually already know my main issues when I take my vehicle somewhere and I even know the lower end and higher end fees for my issues. Tony has always hit the mark on the lower end with his quotes and has never tried to add on other issues. Always prompt with the turnaround times. Especially if you will be waiting for your vehicle there.An honest and good mechanic is a hard combination to find nowadays. A fellow veteran recommended this place and Ive used it for stuff from replacing an air compressor, to replacing all rotors and breaks that I purchased myself. Give First Choice a try for any vehicle issues and youll hopefully also have a great experience.Extra plus, if you happen to need to wait for the vehicle and have pups, they are pet friendly and the Cedar Bark Park is only about 1/2 mile walk down the road!

Very honest and professional! Prices are very reasonable. Keep it up guys! I had leaking problem, first I took my car to JiffyLube, they said they are not sure is it oil or transmission fluid. They recommend me A+ Transmission Specialists on Bell St (Cedar Park) to double check. I actually was ripped off at A + transmission specialists, because they said it is transmission. And charged me over $900 to seal it! And for some reason took apart my transmission. And did not fix the problem. Instead made worse my transmission. I came to First Choice Automotive and in 30 min they found the issue of leaking - Oil Cooler (above transmission) and fix the issue. Thank you very much guys!!! And sorry for my english :)

Tony is awesome! He changed the oil, installed my radiator, relay and fan for a very reasonable price and he threw in the installation of my stereo and helped me install my cowl vent! I live in Florida and my young adult son moved to Cedar Park for his new career. Hes still learning about the adult world and his old Honda broke. He had it towed to First Choice. They diagnosed it and gave us their professional opinion on what we should do. They were very honest and even went to the trouble to price another option for us to compare, even though we didnt ask them to. We determined the car wasnt worth fixing and they handled the whole situation for us. My son said he never felt dumb around them, they were extremely polite and responsive to me, they were very honest, and they made a very stressful situation quite simple. Once my son has his next car, First Choice will be his garage for anything that arises. Hes also spreading the word to his friends. They also do used car inspections, so you wont buy a lemon. My friends who are customers of Tony’s recommended his shop for my oil leak. They had nothing but rave reviews and that coupled with the fact that he has so many five star reviews got me to swing by and have him take a look. He clearly explained the issue after a quick free inspection told me the price spread for the best and worst cases and explain why it might be the higher price. I really appreciated the honesty in the open this. Unfortunately it was the higher price but he showed me the damage to the oil pan before he started so I was expecting having to change the oil pan because of the damage that had been covered up.On top of everything it was a quick in and out service the bill was clear and I got a email thanking me for my business which was really great. Not only that but I got a two year warranty on the service which was unexpected.I know where I’m going to get my car fixed and where I’m going to send any referrals! Thank you very much Tony!

I needed to get something from my car and even though they were hoisting it up, he asked the mechanic to bring it down so I could get what I needed. No one else would do that. We are so incredibly impressed with Tony and First Choice Automotive! Both of our vehicles were experiencing problems for months and we were terrified to take them anywhere, because we assumed the costs would be through the roof! My suburban wouldnt start, so after a lot of hesitation to try a new shop, I brought it down to Tony on a friends recommendation. The first guy I met named John was so friendly it made me suspicious. I spoke with Tony I made appointment to drop it off the next day. He had it diagnosed within a day or two, let me know the bottom line before doing any work. It came back a day ahead of schedule and at a very fair price. Its really nice to know, that there are still talented honest mechanics out there.

Tonys on top of his game; knowing the latest innovations coming out too (copper brake pads?), and honest and trustworthy.They say when you find a good plumber, electrician, or mechanic, you hold onto to them. But time and time again, over these several years, there has never been a problem they havent been able to fix AND diagnose CORRECTLY. Ive been using Tony and his guys for over five years now. They have kept multiple used cars of ours on the road and functioning safely for the duration of that time period. Once we discovered First Choice Automotive we have never even thought about going elsewhere. They are honest, punctual, priced fair, and professional. Weve had them replace a timing belt, replace brakes and rotors, handle ignition problems that the dealership couldnt figure out(Hyundai), align our tires, replace a power steering pump, recognize and replace oxygen sensors, all of our oil changes, along with diagnosing all of our check engine light problems. I highly recommend this company. Its going to be done right at the quoted price, and they warranty their work. Youll never need another mechanic as long as you live in the area. Period.

I was very pleased with the work done here. Not only was the price extremely reasonable but they were able to fit me in very quickly.Having a PHEV car, repairs typically are a little more expensive and take a little longer than my truck, but First Choice was a solid pick. I got the AC system fixed in my car and it only took a coupe of days. The texting about the status was really cool and personal and it was an all around great experience. There is not really any scenario I can think of where I would go elsewhere. If I had to gripe for my review, my only complaint would be that it was not free!
