This chocolate boutique is a little taste of paradise. The owners harvest their own Cacao from their farm in Ecuador and roast and produce their chocolate here on site. Walk in and see how the chocolate is made from bean to bar. Added treat, the owners are on site and are engaging and educate you on the process with a pride and passion for their product rarely seen these days. Exquisite chocolate, beautiful story and amazing family! Well be back!
Can’t recommend this place enough!!!Carlos and his family are so incredibly sweet and knowledgeable! The chocolate they make is delicious and with real, minimal ingredients from their own farms which is a huge deal to me. Definitely an amazing local business! Thankful my husband and I stopped in this evening. We will for sure be back and buy our chocolate here from now on instead of grocery stores.
The best chocolate in Austin and perfect for Valentines Day! I ordered chocolate covered strawberries, bonbons, and chocolate covered fruit for Valentines day. I placed my order on Friday morning and even though it was freezing outside, Carlos delivered it to our house promptly on Friday evening. All of the chocolate was INCREDIBLE!! And the chocolate covered strawberries are the most beautiful strawberries I have ever seen. Carlos was incredibly kind and I will definitely be visiting the shop in person/ordering chocolate more often. Thank you so much :)
KVUE featured the owner of Ecuadorian Chocolate Factory in their Hispanic Heritage Month segment today. So, we decided to stop by for treats. Everything tastes so good! The chocolate melts in your mouth and isnt overly sweet since its not milk chocolate. We loved everything we got but the truffles were out overall favorite. We would definitely recommend trying them out.Pictured from top center clockwise:*Chocolate Dipped Bananas - Sliced and dried bananas dipped in 55% cacao chocolate.*Toffee Bark - 55% Cacao Chocolate with toffee & pecan*Chocolate Dipped Mango - Sliced and dried mango dipped in 55% cacao chocolate.*Tropical Bark - 55% cacao chocolate with coconut, mango, papaya & pineapple.*Raspberry and Coffee Truffles (Individual flavors, not combined)
Just happened to be in the area and stopped in. WOW! Delicate, delicious chocolate! Best I’ve had in Texas.
Great customer service experience and even better product! I ordered some truffles to be delivered to my grandparents for their anniversary. The order was submitted late (my fault!) - just a day before their anniversary - but ECF delivered them on time and in good order. Nana and Papa loved them! Thanks for making it a special day.
Last week I wanted to get my wife something special, and I found it at Ecuadorian Chocolate Factory. I brought home chocolates flavored with cognac, mint, raspberry, and coconut. Delicious. The tasting room was a perfect way to sample chocolate of different balances of cacao and sugar. Thanks Carlos!
LOVE this place. Everything is made in house and owned by the family from what I understand. I tried most of the truffles and bars. They are so smooth, crisp and robust in flavor. The only truffle I wont try is mint, gross.
We came in looking for some chocolates for an upcoming dinner and wine party. We found more then we could have imagined. Were definitely returning soon. We enjoyed the KETO chocolate. (That was a wonderful surprise). We tried the 100% and the 85% Cacao. ..we stayed with the 85%. But do try the 100% Cacao. And oh yes....they do have chocolate covered ginger and passion fruit. 😋 😋
Excellent place, extremely Friendly staff! And most importantly, delicious handmade one of a kind chocolate! Will definitely be back! 100 % recommend!
Possibly the best chocolate on the planet, right here in Cedar Park!I just made my second visit since a year ago, and Im not sure why I took so long to return; this place is a gem! The chocolate making is clearly a family affair, and the proprietor and his family are super sweet and engaging and are clearly passionate about the chocolate.A year ago, when I first visited, they were only producing chocolate in bar form (either that, or I just didnt see the bonbons). The chocolate was delicious, but I wondered how well the business would perform without a little more variety. This year I stopped in for some Christmas shopping, and they were hand-making bonbons. Fillings included raspberry, mango, pineapple, passion fruit, cognac, and more. Theyre available individually (I think it was $1.50 each) or can be packed in cute dozen-sized boxes. I went with two boxes, each with an assortment. Since these were destined for close family members who were willing to share ;) Im able to report that these are hands down the most delicious chocolate creations Ive ever experienced.I enthusiastically recommend this little shop. We are fortunate this family chose to plant roots in Cedar Park.
Best chocolate I’ve ever tasted. So fresh straight from the family farm. Such a lovely family and so cool to see their process. Stop in to talk with Carlos.
We enjoyed visiting and learning so much about how they make the chocolate. The store owner was so kind and helpful. The candy was delicious and cant wait to visit again.
Hands down, the best chocolate I have ever been fortunate enough to taste. You will not regret splurging on this treasure. You may regret sharing, though, so get extra for the loved ones in your life.
Carlos is such a genuinely nice man, and you can tell he knows his stuff! He owns his own cocoa farm in Ecuador, and you can taste the difference between his chocolate and large scale manufacturers. The chocolate is by far the best I’ve ever had.
So glad I stopped here! Family business. Excellent customer service with detailed explanation of the product, tasting, and a tour of the chocolate making process. Going to bring my granddaughter soon! The chocolate is exquisite. I got several bars (for eating and baking) and the bonbons. Do yourself a favor and go!
Excellent customer service, prices and products. Someday, it would be awesome to see them with a more decorative building, but I’m sure they’re working their way toward that. They’ve certainly perfected their products and they’re such a sweet family business.
This business is a rising giant! Very humble and honest family shop. Its a chocolate explosion of delicacies! There is no doubt that they will gain popularity with their uniquely farmed cacao beans right from the Ecuadorian mountains! The familys passion & decades of dedication for the production of high quality chocolate products is what sets them apart. Its definitely at the top of some of the best chocolates I have tasted.Look out for this Cedar Park Texas hidden gem!
If you have not visited, you are missing out bigly. Great chocolate and the friendliest hosts around! A delight to visit.
The owner spent quality time with my 2 girls showing them the process, history and family origins of the chocolate. His family owns the the source! Its like farm to table. The chocolate is really good. Authentic and fresh!
The owner is incredibly nice and it is easy to tell that he knows his stuff! The bonbons are fantastic... the coffee one might just be my favorite. Cant wait to buy more from this place!
Amazing experience! Me and my family visited and the owner was so kind and gave us a tour of his entire shop and let us try the various chocolates at his shop! The store is extremely clean, chocolates are so good, and the owners are so sweet! Please support this small business during the pandemic
My wife and I had a fantastic visit to Ecuadorian Chocolate Factory! The shop is small, but it is clean and inviting - it is awesome to see the whole process of how their chocolates are made. The owners are also very friendly and will take the time to share about their business. Perhaps most importantly, their chocolates are DELICIOUS - all of their products are single-origin, as everything is made from their small farm in Ecuador. You can really taste the purity in all of their different offerings. We will definitely be back for gifts for friends or treats for ourselves!
We happened to stumble upon this little shop today while getting dinner! We were instantly welcomed by their friendly owner and he told us everything about the shop! This family owned shop makes everything on their own and only uses like 2-3 ingredients! (It is dairy free and also has a keto option) He lets you sample before purchasing as well.Definitely worth visiting this small shop. We will be back soon!
Amazing chocolate but even more amazing people. I enjoyed speaking with Carlos on the process and uniqueness of the chocolate
My family and I enjoyed the Factory Tour, great explanation of the process, this is a family own business and very down earth people. We LOVED it! Highly recommended it, we will be back for sure. Great Quality of Chocolate.
Absolutely wonderful man gave an awesome experience and sold great local sweets. Even has keto friendly chocolate!
Went in there yesterday and decided to pick up some chocolates not only for my parents, but for me as well. This will definitely be my go-to place for something sweet! My kids loved the mint, and my husband and I loved the Cognac and Coffee flavored bonbons. Love this place!
Ooooh!Homemade chocolate does not get any fresher or better tasting than this!Carlos makes his Ecuadorian chocolate bars and truffles right there in the shop.He grinds, mixes and tempers the sourced cocoa nibs to make 4 different dark chocolate grades (65%, 70%, 85% and 100%).Carlos loves sharing his families story and how he learned to make chocolate. This is a great spot for weekend adventures with kids.
This is not a chocolate shop. This is a chocolate experience. You can just get a box of some of the most delicious chocolates you have ever had, but if you allow yourself the time the owner will take you on a journey and help you explore chocolate. All of this in a very comfortable and down to earth atmosphere at a very reasonable price for the experience provided. Wow your partner and make this a first stop for date night.
Our first time visiting! Carlos is so passionate about the chocolate and plantation which truly show in his demeanor. He took the time to explain the process and let us taste all we wanted. Our kids loved learning about it and asking questions. He is so full of knowledge and charisma. His wife is so friendly also! If you like chocolate, go!
Home made chocolate made on site, 50% - 100% cocoa, healthy, delicious, no preservatives from pesticide free farms in Ecuador! Friendly owners.
Happened upon the Ecuadorian Chocolate Factory after dinner in hopes for a small bite of chocolate, we got that and so much more. The moment we walked in the warm greeting from Carlos was just the beginning of an almost magical lesson in chocolate! He joyfully explains how the chocolate is made while offering samples that were amazing. We were delighted by his knowledge and the story of his family’s cacao bean farm in Ecuador. We left with more than a small bite, 4 bars of different chocolate, 2 bags of chocolate dipped bananas and coconut, and 12 coffee bonbons. As we passed our treats around the discussion was focused on our return to the chocolate factory and who did we know that we could gift with some this wonderful chocolate. Let’s be honest though, we will be gifting ourselves the most!
This is good stuff. Glad I stopped by!
Excellent dark chocolate and friendly staff.
I can honestly say that the passion fruit bonbon made here is absolutely the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. The chocolates, which at most contain just...four...ingredients, are unbelievable. Someone else described the experience as magical, and I think thats the exact word for it.The owner (Carlos) was warm and kind and explained every bit of the process he goes through to make their chocolates (and yes, they are hand made right there in the shop, and sourced from a single cacao plantation in Ecuador, which they own). You can tell that his family has a passion and love for this business, and their craftsmanship and artistry is inspiring. This place is a gem and should not be missed. I believe that this is a must visit for anyone coming through Austin.
If you enjoy authentic chocolate and absolutely wonderful people; this is the place to go.Family run establishment; as close as you can get to single grower to cocoa bean(s).Honestly, I usually leave reviews when Im annoyed but, sometimes, a store, its product(s), and the people who run it are so wonderful...a review is necessary. Thanks for bringing such a wonderful experience to Cedar Park!!
Wow. The owner is fantastic. I love chocolate but this is a different level. Please treat yourself, you deserve it
Wonderful chocolate made on premises. The gentleman who runs this is very kind and gracious. His English is limited yet he takes the time to carefully explain how the chocolates are made from the Equadorian plantation to the final stages here in Texas. The chocolates are delicious in varying degrees of concentration. The ingredients are all natural. If you are worried about any lactose sensitivities you may have, none of them have any milk.
Really amazing place! They make the chocolate in-store, and its family owned. The chocolate is really good, and it doesnt have much sugar, either. Its family friendly, so anyone can go! This place is amazing, and I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes chocolate.
Amazing! I had no idea this place existed until today and will definitely be back. We tasted all of the chocolate and even the 100% was nice and smooth. If you’re in the area, or even if you’re not, stop everything and go here!
I happened across this shop by accident- but am so glad I did! We were show the chocolate making process, allowed to sample chocolate during the various stages of production (nibs, melted) then we were able to try the different levels of chocolate (e.g. 80% dark, 70% dark, milk chocolate). The gal leading us through was incredibly helpful and kind. She mentioned they were about to launch a sugar-free chocolate- which would be wonderful. But the best part were the TRUFFLES! Amazing- coffee, raspberry, and peach. I bought some sampler packs as gifts. I plan to go back and restock up!
Incredible chocolate. Got the 90% and its like a revelation. Cool place too- they make it there and walk you thru the process. Definitely going back once they get the chocolate covered almonds. 4 bucks for a rich bar of chocolate.
Love the owners and so cool to see the chocolate making process. Great place for kids to see how its done. Really liked the 100% cacao-not bitter at all. Everything was great and they have samples. A hidden gem
This place is truly a hidden gem. Please do yourself a favor and stop by. Carlos the owner will tell you all about his shop, the cocoa farm he owns in Ecuador, etc. Hes a beautiful man with the warmest smile!
Our chocolate tour and workshop was not what I had expected, but all in all it was a great and memorable time! Although there is a definite language barrier, Carols’ passionate and kind spirit made it all worth it. Delicious chocolate too!
Carlos is your friendly chocolate expert. He takes the process from beans to bon-bons, and the resulting candies will delight you.
Great people, great service, great product. Local business.
The chocolate was amazing and the owners were wonderful!!! Will definitely go back soon. Their truffles were also delicious. Definitely try the passion fruit truffle.
Wonderfully pure chocolates. He provided an explanation on the chocolate making process and showed us photos of the plantation. Will buy our chocolate here from now on to support a local business.
The proprietor is a sweet gentleman that truly loves his craft. He shines when talking about his cocoa farm back in Ecuador and the chocolate is amazing. Fantastic place!
Great place if you love chocolate. Very nice and the owners and chef are wonderful
Carlos the owner is so hospitable and welcoming. Really appreciated his explanation of their whole process. Will definitely be coming back!
Amazing!
Must stop and try all the samples they have !! Very rich and pure. The owner is very respectful and went through a tour of his creation of the chocolate.
We got a tour of how this delicious chocolate is made and got a sample taste. Very professional and delicious.
Fascinating little business ran by the most incredible little family!
Great chocolate and super friendly owners. Highly recommend!!
Carlos is VERY friendly and takes time to explain the chocolate making process and their product line. It was a fun experience.
Kids loved the tour. The family that owns it and Annie that works there a super sweet!
Such a great experience!! If you love chocolate, make the trip
Delicious all-natural chocolate, and Carlos was both gracious and informative as he showed us how they process the chocolate from nibs to finished product. Highly recommend a visit!
Excellent quality and gracious welcoming people run the store. A must visit.
Wow! Not only is Carlos’s passion for chocolate apparent in his awesome personality, but his chocolate is delicious. The chocolate bars are smooth and the bon bon’s were perfection. His bon bon recipe was developed with the help of a French chocolatier with 40 years experience and it definitely shows. Definitely go visit your local chocolate shop, you’re not only supporting a wonderful family, but you get to taste amazing chocolate as well.
This place is definitely a hidden gem !! The chocolate is amazing and the customer service is outstanding. If you are looking for quality chocolate, look no further.
Delicious authentic chocolate and super nice owners.
Visited here on Christmas Eve and, though they are not yet set up entirely, they did have samples out, all of which were really good. We bought several bars and will definitely be back.
Its good and the quality is great!
This family is so sweet and the chocolate is amazing!
