I live in Minnesota but have family in Cedar Rapids, so when we visit Iowa we NEVER miss an opportunity to stop for a box (or two) of Donutlands freshly made donuts! My grandparents brought my mom and her siblings here every Sunday after church, so its been a big part of our family since it first opened in 1971 (congrats on their 50th anniversary, by the way 🥳). My absolute favorites are their blueberry or old fashioned dounuts! (Krispy Kremes a dirty word around here....😉) You NEED to go.... Right now! (And be sure to wear your eatin pants! 😄)

If we are talking quality of donuts, these are undoubtedly the best donuts I’ve ever had. I have traveled the united states for a better donut and have yet to even have one come close. Even the most famous donut shops don’t stand a chance to this Cedar Rapids gem..hope you guys open a larger location because you could use the space and extra help!! Yummm

There is no doubt that their Donuts are the best in the area but UNFORTUNATELY their online ordering and order pickup is probably the worst I have ever seen.Literally, you cant get almost 90% of your donuts if you order after 6 or 0630 in the morning !I understand this experience 8 times so far.I brought it up to managers attention in last 2 years but unfortunately isbstill ongoing issue.It shouldnt be that hard to fix.Donuts 5/5 but service for online, phone and pick up is 2/5.

Donutland is the best place in Cedar Rapids to get donuts. They have a wide variety during the week and on the weekends. Highly recommend getting there early if going on Sunday as they tend to be very crowded and the donuts get picked over by people going after church.

This donut shop is worth driving to from any distance. They have mastered the taste separating them from any others. Top 3 are Blueberry, Chocolate Chip then Cherry but there is NOT a flavor I do not love. Theyre simply the best!!

This is the only donut place Ive been to that tastes like State Fair food. The donuts are top notch, the building has a 70s vibe pretty hard, but thats okay. Service is acceptable, they are always packed. Old fashioned donuts are a fave. Please look yourself longingly in the mirror before you order something other than a donut at a donut shop and ask yourself: Am I making a good decision? Parking lot is a little bit of an anxiety inducer.

Stopped in around 7:30 a.m. They had a large variety of donuts and pastries available along with coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate. You could stay in or get it to go. They also had boxes premade so you could grab n go for family, friends and coworkers or you could still pick your own. Service was fast and friendly. Food was great!

Have not visited this original location. Grew up in Cedar Falls and remember going to the Donutland on University Ave and Rownd Street with my grandma every morning for her coffee and to pick out donuts and cookies. The absolute best donut shop that Ive ever been to in my life. So sad that piece of my childhood has been gone for quite some time now. Will have to make a trip just for the nostalgia and to relive those days of my childhood. Please come back to the Cedar Valley! No other donut shop will ever be the same.

The best place for donuts in Cedar Rapids, Donutland has remained almost unchanged since it opened in the 70s. While other newer donut shops offer crazy toppings and offbeat flavors, Donutland remains true to its roots, offering classic donuts and pastries that are AMAZING. You have to get em fresh, though; get there as early as possible. If you go on a Sunday morning, be prepared to wait in line.

Nice people, good donuts. Hit or miss if you get a fresh donut or not. I had a jelly filled that tasted 1 or 2 days out. But in the same purchase the cherry donut was very fresh.

We were in town for a trip and heard of this donut shop called Donutland, so of course we had to come check it out! We went on Saturday morning and the line was out the door! It seemed like locals, which is always a good sign that the place has good food! It didnt take long to get to order, but was hard to order because of all the choices! Prices were very reasonable. We got a dozen packaged in a box. We sat inside to eat and thought that was pleasant too. We would love to come back if we are in the area again!

Every time I come back to Cedar Rapids I stop here and get a dozen donuts. They have really tasty and unique cake donuts. The cherry, blueberry, orange, and dutch crumb are the best.

Donutland is a Cedar Rapids staple. This placed has remained nearly the same for decades and I love it. Coming here takes me back to times as a kid when I was brought here by my grandparents, or to times when wed stop in for a quick breakfast with the family. The only thing I love more than a good donut is nostalgia and Donutland is where I can find both.

I got donuts here as a kid in the 80s, but moved away since. Stopped back recently, and it was every bit as good as I had remembered.

I tried to order on the website for a good 15 to 20 minutes and it would not work. Come to find out when I went in store it was shut down due to low volume of donuts.I called in and spoke to the owner it turns out about ordering donuts. they had everything I needed except for glazed and double chocolate. They made up for the double chocolate plus some but were not making any more glazed.I love donutland, my family loves donutland, it is a family pass time but definitely order the day before. Do not spur-of-the-moment choose donutland.

Second to none. These are the best donuts in town. Theyre a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The selection can be a bit hit or miss depending on how busy its been but there arent any bad choices so you cant go wrong. The only thing that keeps me away is the fear of having to buy bigger pants.
