A medium peanut butter shake with chocolate ice cream and a medium Irish cream shake. They were delicious, more along the lines of a large size, and very reasonably priced.The staff are incredibly friendly and they have a drive-thru!My sole regret is not living closer to work my way through all of their various shake flavors. However, it will become a high point of any reason I may have to go to Cedar Rapids.

So many cool, delicious treats to enjoy on a hot day. Parking lot is a little tight. Better off parking in lot next door. If there is a line at the drive thru, you might get stuck for a bit. Great ice cream!

While I do enjoy Parlor City and will continue to go there, I’m unhappy with my experience tonight.As per usual, the wait is long during the summer. Not a problem. But after being in the drive through for nearly 20 minutes, I finally get to the speaker to order and they won’t take my order and a recording starts to play stating that they are closed. This was at 9:07pm on a Friday night, however the car ahead of me was allowed to make their order. (Which also is ridiculous that a place like this would close prior to 10pm on a weekend when it’s a seasonal business)I understand that businesses have certain times that they open and close. But if you aren’t going to accommodate the cars in the drive through that have been waiting since BEFORE your closing time, you should put up cones in front of the driveway so that other cars don’t come in. There were six or seven cars behind me that had also been waiting and were now unable to order. This is frustrating, not good for business, and just simply annoying.I’m writing this as a constructive critique, I hope it will open the eyes of the business owners or managers to at least start blocking the drive when they are getting close to closing or to accommodate the people that have been patiently waiting.

Their ice cream is good, however, dont get The Freeze or anything that needs mixed. Their electric mixers causes the ice cream to taste electrical.

The service and ice cream was great. The parking lot is an absolute nightmare and way too small for how busy they are. The kind couple in front of me paid for me in drive through which was a great surprise because it happened to be my sons 10th birthday. My son insisted we pay it forward to the couple behind us so we did.

Plenty of seating in the area. Went to DQ first, but that was drive-through only, and a long line. Only waited about 2 minutes at PC. The banana cream mixer was very good!

Famous BBQ Beef, Cheddar Nuggets, Onion Rings French Fries, the food is way better than the photo shows. Service is friendly and efficient. The food and the place take me back in time. There is a drive thru and a walk up window (preferred) and tables with shade umbrellas in front and at the side. They have a sign, Bikers Welcome. I didnt even have ice cream and Im completely impressed.

Been here many times. I was personally put onto the Butterscotch Malt with extra butterscotch extra malt. I didnt even know you could do that, its delicious. Ive never had 1 single bad experience. The food and icecream is great, the always friendly service is great. Definitely worth the wait in line.

Small Yogurt Flavor of the day is worth the drive. Dont worry if you see a line. They are quick. Cant wait for fall so I can try their sandwiches.

Today was not their best day. Left the drive through after waiting 15 min and ordered at the window. Waited another 20 min as over a dozen people who ordered after me received their items. Total time spent was 37 min. before I left with out my order I paid for. I checked at the window and was told they were getting to it.

A great hot day escape. I loved the sundae I ordered, but had trouble figuring out my order since their menu is a hodge podge of signs, posters and scotch tape. Ive had their hot foods in the past and they are pretty good. Comparable to other ice cream stops. The outdoor-only seating provides little atmosphere as their umbrella tables are merely placed on the parking lot asphalt, where you get to battle the drive-through traffic and exhaust. Convenient to the bike trail for a pit stop. Ill be back, for sure, but really wish it was a little more inviting.

What to say, but i love them! Their menu is A-mazing... I always struggle with what to pick. They have so many flavors of everything- ice cream, malts, shakes, you name it - they have it. Plus they serve warm food like cheeseburgers and fries, all konds of stuff.They can have a million cars lined up and they just fly through them. I have never felt like I am sitting there for a million years. They always have a smile on their face. They always get the order right. They are just amazing. I literally love going to this place. The prices are amazing. They never overcharge. This is why I go there all the time. This is the spot to be. It is a hotspot. If you go there youll know why because people are always there and the staff manages to fly through them and still make your day. Thank you Parlor City Ice Cream, you are amazing.You have a customer for life. I am sure there are many more out there. If you havent been there you definitely need to go.

This is by far the best place to get ice cream. They will have a line but again it is the best ice cream in town. Dairy queen cant touch this place. Wait in line well worth it. Again you will wait but if you want decent ice cream and fast service because there is no one there go else where but if you want amazing food, service and ice cream come to one of there two locations in cedar rapids and marion.

During my visit to Parlor City Ice Cream they were quite busy and tho they were busy the service was what I would in my opinion consider to be of a 3 star rating due to the speed of service during a peak hour and quality of the items purchased. I say this due to how the items came out prepared and how much topping were put on each of the purchases. However being of a 3 star rating, I will come back and try again since the ice cream is delicious!

Cute, inexpensive place. Dont expect any frills, but the ice cream is delicious as a soft serve and the workers were friendly. They even have options if youre dairy intolerant, just get the chocolate covered banana. Be advised there is no outdoor seating but if its nice out the concrete benches are perfect. Mosquitoes are bad depending on when you go but thats just IA in summer.

I am in love with Parlor City options, pricing, and location. Its twice as better than Diary queen and they have good food. Customer service is always nice.

My husband and I much prefer this location over the Marion one. Line is always long, but thats because the ice cream and service is fabulous. We love splurging on a banana split or dirt cup, but you cant go wrong with anything on the menu.

About what youd expect from a small ice cream place. There are many different options so its not too hard to find something youll like. Sure, at busy times service might get a little slower, but Id expect that anywhere and you can only cram so many employees in a small space. I havent had too much experience with their hot food, but ice cream is good and inexpensive.

Always great service and never have they messed up my order. Only reason for 4 stars is the wait can get very long and their parking lot gets very cramped.

This is a fun stop when in the area. They have something for everyone from a cone to a dish or a shake or malt. If not in the mood for ice cream they have food items as well.

Parlor City ice cream has always been a pleasant place to receive ice cream and other tasty Goods. Has outdoor picnic tables and the decent parking lot to have a group setting and I meet with some friends. The price is very reasonable not much of a wait given sometimes everybody once I stream at the same time lol. Staff is Pleasant so I give a 5-star rating Percy ice cream great job guys and gals.

I went after work and got 2 pork tenderloins, (which were the size of McDonalds hamburger patties, 2 small orders of onion rings, and two banana shakes (which were suppose to be 16 oz., but were only 12 oz.,) and for that I paid $20.00? Highway robbery. For food well stick to Culvers or Wendys. Your food in my opinion isnt good, and especially for that price. And you dont like that criticism I dont care.To Daniel M, WOW, am I suppose to be impressed you know someone who works there? Im not. Im 57, and traveled all 48 states with my husband (hes a trucker) and met celebrities along the way.To the manager, if you cant take criticism, then you shouldnt be a manager. I was an office manager before getting married, thats part of the job. Your comment to Miss/Mrs. Jacksons review sounded like a child, not someone of authority. If anyone should be ashamed, it should be you, not her. Why dont you grow up. And as a manager, teach your staff the difference between 12 oz. and 16 oz., because they certainly dont know the difference.

Classic local soft serve in the shadow of a freeway. Standing in the parking lot will take you back check. Much better ice cream than the Dairy Queen, and no giant corporation taking their cut. Keep it local.

Its not summer until weve been to Parlor City! Generous sizes, tons of options to choose from, homegrown feel. Its my familys favorite softserve place in CR.

This is a fun walk-up or drive-thru ice cream location with outdoor seating and a good variety of food. One of the few places in Cedar Rapids that sells funnel cakes. This is where my kids ask to go for ice cream.
