I stopped in to the Centerville Joann store to look at sewing machines at about 9:30 on a Saturday not realizing that the Viking center had different hours. Veronica, the manager of the sewing machine area happened to be there doing some shopping on her day off and very kindly opened the area long enough to let me purchase a machine so that I wouldn’t have to come back later. She was so friendly and I appreciate her service!

Thank you JoAnns for providing me with all my quilting needs. Cutting board, rotary cutter, thread, etc, and most of all, beautiful fabrics.

I liked this Joann better when it was on Pages Lane--it was less cramped there. But this store still has fun selections of material and other crafty goods.

Hey, I’ve been to this ezackt Joann’s a coupla times and they had some patches for my jeans, and they also have some felt squares that I needed to make some cute lil figures outta felt ha one time I even worked at the Dollar store next door and I didn’t realize that the position was seasonal, so one day, after a few months had passed, the manager was like, well thanks for your help these past few months. Feel free to take a drink on your way out. Take care everyone. And I was all uhh so that’s it? Was I just fired? What a weird experience, but hey isn’t that parta life right? So go to Joanns, especially if you are working on some jokes. I hear they got a lotta material there (huhu) well, enjoy the rest of the review, I’ll stop talkin now.

ConsI really cant think of any during this visit.ProsWhen I went in they were having a staff meeting and the manager was telling everyone to make sure they greeted everyone. When I walked in they all greeted me and I felt very special. LolThe store was very clean and organized.I found what I needed quickly and easily.I had some fabric cuts and the employee did a great job and chatted with me while she did the cut.It was a great visit

My mom brought me in for some crochet supplies, to help me get started. We had trouble finding (#5 needles?) So we asked an associate and she was really helpful. We made jokes about needing hobbies during the pandemic and she sent us on our way. Theres mask requirements and 6-feet apart stickers in the line/checkout area (but people arent fully following the rules).

Awesome to have one so close by, but not the widest variety of products.

Not a place for the faint of heart, or the novice in fabrics and all things sewing. The employees clearly expect you to know what youre doing. Dont ask questions. Dont get in the line without first taking your number.

Joanne has a lot of merchandise. If youre looking for something special, you can usually find it. The problem is the prices. Its expensive. I wouldnt buy anything here without a 40% or 50% off coupon. With Walmart just around the corner Im usually going to go there, but sometimes, Joannes has what I need for the right price. I go there when Im in a pinch and I cant wait to get it online.

I usually love shopping here. However, the store was filthy. Front door were sticky and had not been cleaned. There was no selection of Christmas decor. Left without anything and that never happens...

I stop here regularly for all my crafting needs. Its great! The one area Im disappointed in is holiday decorations. Its unfortunate that if you want to buy seasonal decor you have to go with the trend of buying them 1 or 2 months early... Otherwise theyre mostly out of stock by the time youre in the right month.

Nice store however, they always seem to be lacking in other departments other than fabric.

They cut what was suppose to be one yard? Because the fabric was cut so out of line I lost a 1/4 yard. Watch your fabric while being cut!!! I will need to purchase more because this is a baby blanket and needs to have perfect lines.

My wife says Joanns is always a five star experience for me. Ive often found that my wife prefers to use my arms in lieu of a cart or basket during these Covid times. Which contractually requires a husbandly grumble. Secretly however Ive come to love the feel of a weight 5 yarn on my skin and the fruits of my wifes kitting which Im now being told is actually crochet. Who knew? Overall the staff is very nice and knowledgeable at this location though Ive only got a few Joann locations under my belt. Would recommend.

I purchased several pieces that were marked down for clearance. and then an additional 50% was to be taken at the register but it didnt. when i questioned the cashier she told me the prices were correct. with further questions she found that i was correct and was due almost $70 in refund. and this wasnt the first time it happened. but i have no way to get money back on the other purchases.

I normally go to a different store but I decided to try this one because of its convenient location. I will never be returning to this store. I spent over 40 minutes waiting for someone to cut my fabric and the girl cutting was telling customers “there’s no point in being frustrated it’s not going to make me cut faster” and “if people didn’t want to wait they shouldn’t have come today”. Then we waited another fifteen minutes in the freaking checkout line.I am editing to change my one star to a 3 star because the manager did reach out to me to apologize.

Warning- I placed an order online (pick up in store). After I paid for the order, I was told they were out of stock for most of the stuff I ordered. The order was cancelled on the same day. I used PayPal to pay for the order and the Centerville store manager Patty refused to manually cancel the order, I had to wait 30 days to get a refund. She was very impatient and not helpful on the phone. Would not return to this location.

Love this location in Centerville the staff are always helpful & they have awesome deals & a great selection. Their decor is waay over priced is the only negative thing, which is the reason for the 4 out of 5 stars, but other than that, love it!

Clean store friendly helpful staff. There is a good assortment to choose from. Plenty of parking. As with other joanns the cashier is usally working solo so you may have to wait a little if alot of people are checking out. I would still rwcommend shopping here

Oh my gosh. I can’t believe how slow their employees move! It’s like waiting at the dmv for a sloth! It’s taken almost two hours (by the time I get through the checkout) to buy 3 yards of one fabric! Yes, they’re busy, but only two cutters? And two cashiers? Ugh!! Not a good experience!

Joann fabric store is a great place to find good selection fabric, but its also great for craft supplies and they also offer classes to teach how to sew, or make crafts. I have a small business refurbishing old furniture, and I can always find some great fabric for my upholstery projects. I highly recommend this store. Its one of my favorite places to shop.

This visit was during covid-19. They do have curbside pickup available. There were not many people in the store and most were wearing masks. All workers were wearing masks and there was plastic sheeting at the checkout counters with tape marked on the floor for social distancing. They had what I needed for my project and nearly always have a good coupon available online.

It had a 3 inch black elastic for a skirt.

Did a pick up order the other day and didnt realize that it can take up to 2-3 days to get the pick up right now with whats going on with covid, so I called and explained its for my business and I needed it before 5 pm and is why I did a pick up order otherwise I would have come and waited in line at the store to get in and purchase it, they were super understanding and got my order right there on the phone and allowed me to come pick it up in 5 minutes after the call. I highly recommend them and thank them for helping me keep my business a float during this weird time in the world. That is customer service that every business should provide reasonably.

I got my own balnket my mom made for me and the material was half off so it was like a 100 dollars blanket for 50 dollars

I usually like Joanns but lately I havent been very impressed. Ive gone a few times in the past few weeks and every time I walk a half marathon around the store, combing the shelves to try to find what I need. When I ask a worker to help me, they are nice, but sometimes not very helpful, just not knowing what I need or where it is in the store. So all that I gained out of that time searching for my item is having burned a few calories. :] They are normally good, so I gave them four stars; maybe this is just a phase, or maybe Im looking for things that are too specialized. But theres my review, for what its worth.

I like it a lot, its super hard to take a couple steps in the store without being drawn to all the cute things they have. I came in only for cross stitch floss and almost bought scrap fabric, some cute spring decor, silk flowers, It was a test of willpower. Prices are pretty high, in my opinion, but at least they always have coupons online.

I know for a fact that management here treats its employees like absolute garbage. The employees are friendly, wonderful, lovely, and helpful, but there is no concern for their well-being or the well-being of anyone else shown by management. Their handling of the beginning of the Covid pandemic was horrific, and their treatment of employees in general has always been terrible.

Very disappointed. I did an online order 3 days ago for some fabric I need to finish a project. Note: The only reason I did the online order and didn’t just go in is because it was the last of the specific fabric I could find anywhere close to me and I’m still going to be driving almost an hour to pick it up. I never received my email telling me it was ready to pick up so I decided to call today to find out if I can come get it and they told me that they are 3 days behind on online orders and that it will probably still be a couple of days before it’s ready. I totally understand that things are crazy right now and I have done most of my shopping online recently and have NEVER had to wait 3-5 days to pick my stuff up and now there’s a chance someone has walked in the store and bought the fabric I bought 3 days ago. They should not be offering this service if they do not have the staff to do it in a timely manner.

It seems like they are always understaffed, but I love them anyway.So helpful, and willing to share their expertise. The staff when available is the best.Make sure to sign up for their text and email coupon program itll save you a bunch.

I will never, ever order from Joanns again. They use FedX Post, and they never get it right. It has been two weeks since I ordered. Dont send them an email because you will never hear back. Call them. They will only give you a refund, and not all of it. They suck.

One of my favorite Joanns. I visited maybe five locations to find all the fabric I needed for a commission, and they were great to hold the last two yards of a particular color while I went to check another location for another two yards of the same color. I also had like two staff members trying to find some fabric that was listed as in stock in their inventory but was no where to be found. We still didnt find it (possibly because someone had just bought it), but I greatly appreciated the customer service after a very stressful weekend of fabric hunting. Thanks for great staff and a great location!

I absolutely LOVE this store! The employees are SO knowledgeable and not only WILLING, but EAGER! to help you! Christmas shopping became so much easier there because of them. I actually felt at Home there, bc I felt cared for and respected and Comfortable! And that Wasnt just a one time experience either!! And their deals are amazing!

I love this place. If youre looking for something other than sewing supplies, you may still find it here, but its predominantly a sewing amd fabric store. Tons of cute fabrics to choose from, and theyre at decent prices. I recommend downloading their app. You can access a 40% off coupon for one of your items, and you can use it once a day. Great place!

Enjoyed the selection of fabric. Store was a little small but still had what I needed. Got some great discounts on very expensive fabric. Employees were helpful with selecting the right type of vinyl for a project.

I do enjoy the fabric selection here, but the cut counter and checkout wait lines can be crazy. I also feel like the craft part of the store is pretty sparse. For an example, they have acrylic paints but almost no mediums, and the selection of adhesives is pretty scant.

Prices are a bit high, but if you can get a good coupon or 2 you can really save some money here. I purchase vinal from them regularly and its always good quality.

They had almost everything we needed for Halloween costumes. Just not a fabric design we were looking for but thats ok. They had Lots of trim and lace choices and usually have fun holiday stuff. The prices are ok but they usually have an online coupon you can pull up on your phone as use! 👍Some employees were really helpful. Some were not.

Why do I like this store so much? The COUPONS! Download the app and there is ALWAYS a good discount. The employees are always willing to help, and everything Ive bought here has been good quality and lasting. My only complaint is that its kinda small, so it might not always have what youre looking for.

If you want a better JOANN experience, hit up the one in Clinton. They do not have a separate designated sewing center(its all inclusive), which means no-cranky-territorial lady guarding the sewing machine area. Makes for a MUCH nicer and relaxed shopping experience. Riverdale has the same cranky-type lady in their designated sewing center... Must be in the job description. Other than that, I love JOANNS and their selections of fabric, patterns and coupons.

They have a large selection of fabric and crafting supplies. Their customer service isnt the greatest but its a good place to go if youre looking for some inexpensive fabric/craft supplies. They always have coupons on the app that you can use.

Joann Fabrics employees strive to see how long they can make you wait in a line before going crazy.First the cutting your fabric line . Take a number and wait and wait. (I watched one girl cut fabric for 9 people ahead of me). Then go to the purchase line, stand and wait and wait and wait. You will see employees visiting, stocking shelves, even just standing around... MISTAKE! 26 numbers ahead of me ( I picked up a number immediately upon entering the store...still had to wait over an hour). After waiting in the check out line, OF COURSE NONE OF THE COUPONS I BROUGHT, worked for my purchase.Dont ever shop here! Its that simple.

Went to get a chocolate fountain for my wedding last minute and was about to go without due to high price to my dismay. But was informed by manager about app and 60 percent off one item coupon which I was so grateful! It was of excellent quality and made to perfect addition to my wedding buffet

Good organized store, but they often dont have enough staff.

Ive never liked the business model of extreme markups to allow for deep coupon discounts. Those coupons are a must. Most items are equal in cost to discount department stores AFTER the discounts.The array of stock is better than average. I wish there were more space dedicated to fabrics and less to plastic flowers.

Nice staff, except twice I have been double charged here, and once my fabric was 1/2 a yard short from what I needed/was charged for. Good fabric, button, and batting selection. Bathrooms are probably some of the grossest I’ve seen, right there with some podunk trucker stations.

Not impressed with the service or availability of employees to help me find what I was looking for. Out of my element, I was looking for a certain fabric and had no idea where to start, but it took me a while to get in contact with an employee to help me out. Then they wouldnt cut the fabric to my generic specification (18X24) because they didnt want to be liable. I guess Im probably ignorant of how fabric stores work, but its just fabric for crying out loud! In the end it all worked out, but not after much frustration.

I love Joann fabrics! For fabric they have a HUGE selection and a friendly staff that are really helpful. They also have about anything else craftwise that you could want. I also really appreciate their check out system. Just one single queue and the first available checker helps the next person in line. No trying to be a psychic and pick the fastest line. 😄

Joanns is a great place to stop for my painting supplies they carry colors like goldens neon acryllic paints. Hands down the best neon colors Ive found. Next time your thinking michaels or hobby lobby try out jo anns instead youll be plesantly suprised by their selection
