Like every other Ace store, the staff here is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. This is a great place to go to match up hardware like bolts and washers. They also carry a good selection of seasonal items for gardening, clearing snow, or decorating for the holidays. Since moving to the area a couple months ago, I have used them several times. Each time the people working there are attentive and know exactly where the merchandise is located. Name a giant chain that can say the same thing.

Had 1 person at checkout. Other people waiting in line. His interest was signing up his customer for some card they were promoting. I was there to get a propane exchange. Finally a girl came out of the office. Told her What I wanted . SHE SAID IWOULD HAVE TO BRING IN THE OLD TANKS FOR THEM TO CHECK THE DATES. IM 83 years old. I left there and went to Marcs and purchased a tank and was out of there in 10 minutes..I will never buy anything at Ace again.

Whats not to love about this place. It is a traditional local hardware store with all the service and all the selection you would expect. When youre tired of The Big box store come here for real service and the items you not find any other place.

Carrie was fantastic. I havent had such a positive customer experience in a very long time. She was great. Highly recommend visiting this store in Centerville and I will continue to do so myself.

This is a rather unusual Ace Hardware compared to all of the other locations that Ive been to. Usually the staff is very helpful and they are pretty good about having what you need, though not necessarily at a bargain price. On my visit, I asked three different people for help (I am pretty sure that I was the only customer in the store) and one didnt even acknowledge me and the other two have me very vague direction to what I was looking for and made zero effort to help. I couldnt find what I needed and just drove to Menards instead, where I found exactly what I needed and even had someone ask if I needed help to find what I needed. I wont stop by this Ace location next time.

This place is really good... I shop here regularly and find it a great alternative to the “big box” stores. I do have to knock off one star on my rating though, because often I’m disappointed that whatever I came looking for is not in stock. If I need the biggest selection or lowest price, I go to one of the big stores, but I usually prefer the ACE store on Clyo Rd for the friendly, helpful staff.

Tried to order an assembly band for my big green egg. Stopped by in person early May and placed the order only to find out two weeks later the gentleman did not place the order. After being told on several occasions the order would be placed on a certain day and I would get a phone call to confirm ( I didn’t ), l thought I had the matter resolved after a fifth phone call. I was told the part was ordered and I should be getting my part this week. Got call today asking if I wanted to order the part? You guys are getting spanked by big corporate hardware stores and as much as I would love to support a smaller company, I don’t think anyone should be given the run around like this.

Love to come across honest people anywhere these days. I was shopping At Hnadyman Ace on Clyo Rd recently to pick up a couple of bolts for a project I was working on. I had forgotten my wallet, but remembered I had a $20 bill stashed in the car. I grabbed it and headed into store.I located the items needed & went to check out but when I went to pull out the $20, I didnt have it on my!! I retraced my steps back to hardware section, but no luck locating the money.Since checkout was tied up checking people out, I decided to set my items aside & drove back home to grab the wallet & returned to store to complete my purchase. Jason was the cashier & while I didnt expect a positive response, I asked Jason if by some chance someone had found a $20 bill in the store during the previous 30 minutes or so. I explained the scenario to him & around the corner comes Wayne who asked What did you lose?Sure enough Wayne had the $20 bill and he returned it to me. I offered to give him $10 for the recovery as I would have been out the entire $20, but he said no. As I said at the beginning, coming across honest people is a rarity and glad Wayne is among them. Kudos to Wayne.Hopefully, this makes it to the store manager & owner!Thanks Wayne!John

A great place. I went looking for a scythe or a sickle. I couldnt find any at my Ace store in Fairborn. I decided I would try the Centerville one since I was out that way. I found what I needed. It had a lot more things than my store and I thoroughly enjoyed meandering around there.

My Firefighter Husband and I just left Ace Hardware 7/14/2020 4 pm on Clyo rd and the girl cashier was very rude and very unhelpful. We paid and her ending to her rudeness was here you go pushed the recipt at my husband. She needs to be trained to fired . Very Rude .

Never had a difficult time in this store till today.Wont be back.

Had exactly what I was looking for and they did a great job with social distancing and having PPE in place for both customers and employees.

Ace always has the hardware and tools I need for any big project I have coming up! The employees are so helpful at finding exactly what I need, when I need it! As soon as you walk in you are greeted and asked what you need help with then immediately given assistance to the exact locations/information of/about the tools or equipment I need. I could not recommend this EXACT Ace Hardware any more! PS Emily is an amazing cashier and was very quick and friendly!!

I really like coming here because it reminds me of the family run general stores when we were younger. Im not sure how, but they manage to pack in pretty much anything you need in relation to a hardware store. Fair prices, easy to get whatever you need. Helpful staff as well.

It has a wonderful small town feel to it with a surprising variety of hardware necessities. Very friendly and helpful staff. It is not obviously a big box store with lots of plywood excetera but if you are looking for that one thing that you cannot find anywhere else or knowledgeable staff and answers it is the perfect place!

Location is very convenient, a hardware store in the middle of the suburbs. They most of what you need to finish a job you start or to replace some more common things. It seems like every time I want to go there they are closed. Once I just needed some Spackle and went in on a weekday afternoon. The doors were not locked but the employees inside told me they were closed and they wouldnt help me.

Excellent customer service. They even lent me a drill, free of charge, when I got in over my head changing the front door locks of our new home and all my tools were still in Texas. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful every time I go here.

Went in asked a employee where the Lag Bolts were. He took me right to them, no looking around trying to find them, we went straight to them. Got home quickly mounted a bench vice and got to work.

Your employees do NOT have your best business interest at heart, thats for sure!We parked the car, got out and as we were walking to the door, there was a family entering the facility. Apparently an employee was also standing there, watching as we made our way to the door, never speaking a word to us declaring that they were closed. We of course were oblivious to the time. Anyway, we made our way to the door only to find it locked. The employee stood there staring, still saying nothing, but obviously we know they are closed. Would it have killed them to service one more customer? Especially since they let the people walking before us into the facility!Highly disappointed in this SMALL local business. With customer service like this, you are likely to go out of business!

They have created a place all their own. I go here for all my bird needs. I love their prices and their location.

A bit out of the way & difficult to access the parking lot. The store has a jumble of things...not too well organized. Understaffed. Was not favorably impressed with this establishment, but it was the only place that would accept (at an outrageous price) several old propane tanks that had been left behind by the previous occupant of my apartment.

Its close to my house and usually has what I need. Happy to support a local business. Only hardware store that carries the 20x30x1 filters I need anywhere close.

Terrible customer service. They advertise that they price match. But the manager decided she wasnt going to without a printed copy. Home Depot had item for $30.00 less, I indicated I would just have to buy it there, I think she was happy I chose to do so. Seriously? She was very cold and rude, could have been handled with more tact. We consumers have options, Ace lost my business permanently. Btw I think its an ace thing. we visited Ace in Springboro same day and had to walk out of the store, no one had a clue about their products. Step it up Ace.

Unless you are driving a model t and need oil for your new oil burning lamps so you can read huckfinn before putting your nite cap on to go to sleep...forget about it..so dated keep waiting for mr olson and nellie to come out from the back to load my horse drawn carriage..dont have anything you need.

I always go out of my way to avoid Ace hardware! I live within a mile and a half of the store! Id rather drive to Lowes than this stupid place filled with awful people! They dont even honor your perks membership anymore!

Very large Ace. Unfortunately they didnt have an oscillating blade, but they did have the other items we needed. The sales associate is friendly, but not very knowledgeable on where items were located in the store.
