Very nice place, not sure about the old man though. I look to my elders for knowledge regarding music, which is not a waste of time. BTW its shellac not laquer. Easy enough to share simple knowledge. Happy New year.

This business has always been able to handle my needs. They were very friendly and helpful.Prices are good and they are easy to find. As a previous local business owner/operator in the same area, I am aware of the fact that you will never please everyeveryone. Yenny does a good job of taking care of their customers.

Went there during open hours and they were closed. No sign on the door explaining why, no answer when i called the store number. Just a closed store during their business hours, which is extremely annoying when its the only musicians store in lewis county. Id reconsider your hours if this is how youre going to run a business.

Mario is knowledgeable and helpful. Don should never be allowed to interact with clients, as he likes to insult and be belligerent. Questions regarding condenser microphones and phantom power should never be addressed to Don.

Lets see where to begin...This place is popular locally, mostly because its the only music shop around. That being said, a lot will argue that its perfect in every regard, mostly because of the Home Town Pride. However, lemme adjust the ratings on this store...THE STAFF: The problem I had with this store is the staff, primarily, the manager. Cashiers were nice enough, welcoming you to the store, whatever. However, the manager is...something else. When I was 12 years old, I took Guitar lessone there, and my brother took drum lessons. My mother was helping my bro buy new Cymbals for his drums. My mother asked the manager for some help/advice, and one thing led to another, and the manager started acting very snobby, and actually tried to argue with my mother. What the argument was about, I dont quite remember, but my mother was quite shocked at what the situation turned to.CHEAP: I had to stop taking lessons, due to some changes to the store. My guitar teacher was actually fired, his room was gutted out, and used for storage. My guitar teacher then didnt have a studio to work in/ teach in, so now he has it in (presumably) in his house, or in storage. That being said, I dont think the poor guys living had to be sacrificed just to save a few pennies, and increase storage...And another incident regarding their cheap philosophy. My friend, who is a newbie at guitar, decided to go to Yenneys to put a string on his guitar. While he can either Google it for free, or he couldve let me do it for him, who knows why he didnt do those options. But, he went to Yenneys, and they charged him 15 dollars to put the string on. Mind you, he had already bought the string, thy charged him for the labor. But when my string broke, my teach took it up front, showed me how to restring it, all for free. No because he was obligated, but because he was kind enough.LOCATION: It doesnt bother me that its downtown. What bothers me is that, its the only store in this town. Obviously, this doesnt affect the rating, but they owners of the two stores (Centralia, and Olympia) are making quite the profit, being the only, REAL music shop here, minus the pawn shops here and there. However, because it is downtown, the parking, can get horrendous at times, depending on what day and time.PRODUCTS: Theyre low budget items meant for the beginner/band kids. Thats it. Nothing cool or exciting. Very boring products, very boring atmosphere. So, in conclusion, the Manager who runs the place will look down on his customers as faceless victims, the store will milk all the money out of the unsuspecting parent/newcomer, and take no pride in their long term employees. Whether you continue shopping here is up to you, but I havent set foot in that store for years, and never plan to.
