My Favorite Breakfast Brunch place!Staff is amazing! Super Friendly and Nice! Food is Great!

(7AM)Stopped in Aroma Cafe after My shift at the hospital for a quick breakfast and smoothie !!! There “Southwestern Breakfast burrito” is amazing, a little spicy, but super tasty and delicious. I ordered the 20oz mango Smoothie … delicious. I highly recommend stopping by Aroma Cafe for breakfast!!!! The young woman did a phenomenal job handling orders, making coffee, smoothies, and food all at the Same time !!!!! SHOUTOUT TO YOU !!! But let’s seriously get this woman more help for the morning Rush ☮️

Great interior, and a good compact coffee and sandwich menu. Nice place to sit for a while. Wifi is available if you want to work over a cup of coffee. Outdoor seating available too, with good shade.

First time here and was not disappointed. Had the avocado toast with boiled eggs and a matcha tea. One word: yummy! I asked for just a sprit of the sweetener in my tea and honey on the side for which they accommodated. The only negative for me was, and this is just a me thing, I would have put a little less oil or butter on the toast. I kind of like to eat toast on the drier side but it was still yummy! I’ll come back again but will ask for it on the drier side. Gotta watch those calories! A minute on the lips a lifetime on the hips!

We were advised on the phone that they do serve breakfast, however their breakfast menu didnt even include an omelette or fried eggs. That was on their brunch menu which Is only served on weekend. That aside, the place was clean with courteous staff, however the food was average. Coffee was cold and even the replacement coffee was not warm enough. Hence a neutral experience.

Excellent! The great experience starts with the cashier with a great attitude and sense of humor. Then there is the fare, some of the best coffee Ive ever had. The breakfast sandwiches were great quality and the bun/bread was exceptional. Interior was nice especially the morning daylight coming in off the patio area. Only suggestion I would make is an illuminated OPEN with along Neil Street because it didnt look open from the outside. Ill definitely look forward to coming back.

Not the usual overdose of cheese in a typical brunch. Loved it. Huevos rancheros is recommended.

Friendly warm atmosphere with great food!

Good food, great coffee! Its a nice space and they have a back patio that is lovely in the summer. Parking can be difficult sometimes (meter parking Mon-Sat; $0.75 an hour), but overall a good place to hang with friends and, during the day, do homework.

An amazing place to get dinner or lunch! They have amazing vegetarian options. The salad is delicious. Everything is so fresh! Will go here again.

Nice artsy - rustic downtown cafe with awesome staff. Art on the wall is for sale, too! I recommend Chai latte with coconut milk 👌🏼

Friendly service and reasonable prices.The food is good the the coffee/Chai options are great.They could do with a better vegan selection, especially with the non-savory menu, since its only packaged cookies, which isnt great for a Cafe.But still recommended, for the drinks and pleasant atmosphere.

Safety issue was our concern. An umbrella flew off the stand at our outdoor table and hit someone in my party in the face. We had to go to urgent care due to facial swelling, bleeding and dizziness from the hit. There was random gusts of wind and our umbrella must not have been secured and we saw one other at a different table fly off too.

They have good blend of Kona coffee. Takes me back to the island!

I had an EXCELLENT experience with Aroma Cafe right from the get go. The baristas too extra care to get to know me - and it was my first time there. I asked her to recommend me a drink, told her my preferences and no thank yous, and she made me this delicious Hazelnut Toast Crunch Latte! I also had their lunch special for the day, which was definitely made fresh and in a timely manner, despite the rush. If youre passing through, Cafe hopping, or new to the Champaign area, make Aroma Cafe a priority to visit! 😊☕

I generally like the coffee and food at this place, but i had a couple of negative experiences here that make me think the place can be much more customer friendly. I used to go pick up my coffee at this place with my (service) dog. I wouldnt even stay at the place, but only pick the coffee up and continue my walk to not bother anyone. Many members of the staff would usually be very nice to me and the dog, but one day the manager (I think) came up to tell me i cant have my dog inside. The person didnt even bother to ask why i had the dog with me, but directly assumed it wouldnt be a service dog. I and the other workers tried to express multiple times that this is a service dog, but i didnt receive any uptake from the manager. I felt really hurt by the ableist treatment and left instead of insisting to do whats my legal right.Anothet thing that i find extremely annoying and inconvenient is that they dont serve food between 2 and 4pm, at the weekend of all things. They dont even announce this break on the internet. I think this break doesnt make any sense and is just annoying for customers who can also be hungry between 2 and 4.

The gluten free bagel and dill dip tastes very good. Nice texture for a gluten free. Pleasant outdoor seating in the summer, fireplace in the winter.

Really yummy hot cider with cinnamon! Their coffee is good too. And their pastries are great!

Morning coffee with breakfast vibes

I have enjoyed every visit whether on the back patio or inside. There is a solid offering of food options along with the coffee. Always happy when someone arranges a meeting at Aroma.

This place is my favorite downtown place for lunch. The coffee really good, so is their tea. Their hot sandwiches are very tasty as well - I recommend the Pesto with Chicken or the Beef & Bacon. Most importantly the employees are amazing. Very friendly and after a few visits, they remember you. HIGHLY recommend!

It is my go-to cafe in town. Ive been known to spend hours here doing work, meeting with friends, and just enjoying the coffee. I love it here

Coffee was great. Breakfast sandwich was good, I knocked one star off because the eggs on the sammy were slightly rubbery, and the bun could have used a bit more flavor. But there were tons of items on the menu that looked great, and Ill definitely head back to try more.

The coffee and food were pretty good, and not too bad of a price for what I got (7$ for a 16oz latte and a scone.) My only issue was the space itself, the area is small and crowded and our table was very sticky—to the point that I had trouble pulling my cup off. I would recommend Aroma, just get it to go.

When I worked downtown this is where I went most often to get coffee. The atmosphere is very inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are willing to make alterations to just about anything on the menu including food. If you have a sweet tooth and also like espresso, try a Frescante. Its a coffee smoothie and you can add all kinds of different flavors.

Food was a hit.

The place is really peaceful and gives a bit of an oriental feel. They have posters from all around the world representing various cultures, religions etc, which makes the cafe feel very open to all. Grad students usually go here to work while sipping coffee. Also really popular for lovebirds to have some quite and romantic time together.

My first time there, & I enjoyed it. The workers were friendly, & polite, & the service was prompt. I will definitely visit again soon.

My family and I do a lazy Sunday breakfast every week from here. We get it to go, and enjoy it at home. The coffee and smoothies are great and the sandwiches very filling with great prices.

I was traveling for a conference and wanted to find a quick place to drop in. Being unfamiliar with the area I just typed coffee shop into my phone and this place showed up. It is a neat little college-town style shop. Id recommend dropping by if you are ever in town with some time to kill.

I love this cafe. I dont drink coffee but I am told it is great, instead I appreciate that they have can soda and red bull. The drinks are not why I go to Aroma, the staff and food is. The staff is absolutely fabulous. The food is excellent, especially their quesadilla. I generally try their daily special which I have always found to be delightful. A great place to sit and eat, drink coffee (or soda or tea), and visit with a friend.

I LOVE Aroma. This was the first coffee shop I found when I came to Champaign, and continues to be a go to when I want a great drink and beautiful seat on their back patio. Besides the dark memory of the sexy toast days a few years ago, the people here are always the friendliest and the environment is laid back and inviting. I dont usually go with coffee here, but its solid. The iced teas are always tasty with a perfectly portioned flavor shot.

Such a quaint coffee shop with delicious breakfast and lunch choices. I chose a giant cinnamon roll which was delicious and cinnamony. My friend chose a breakfast sandwich with tomato, avocado and bacon on toast. Also very good.

Went in there the night of the Christmas parade for the first time people could have been any nicer and a very crowded area the workers were great the cinnamon rolls were awesome the coffee was pretty damn good too good job guys

Like many of the shops on this stretch of Neil, Aroma has seating outdoor seating both in front and back of their store. Nothing really to write home about here, but a very cute shop. They have day old treats that are 50% off on top of their fresh case that might be worthwhile to check out.

Parking SUCKS!!! But the java treats inside are just about worth it. If youre cruising downtown, its a must stop for a tasty beverage or snack.

I used to come here very often, great coffee and food. Not sure whats up with the local stores in Champaign, but they always get worse. The coffee is absolutely terrible now. Food and pastries are still good as they were, but the staff and coffee are not :(

Aroma is a great place to get a drink and just chill. Their lunches are really good too! (I recommend their chai tea and any of their wraps.)

This is our favorite place for a chai tea latte. We also really enjoy their fresh food for a quick lunch or dinner. They also have baked goods which are always tasty.

I ordered a cup of tea and some kind of a cake. The tea was super weak in flavor and the pastry was really dry - had the texture like a sponge.

My hubby is vegan. We drove from Decatur IL and we were not disappointed. Love the all day breakfast!

Aroma can be overlooked with all the choice places in town, but their wrap/ salad lunch combo is a great deal, and they have unique teas. The baristas hold their own against the snobbier shops in town, too.

Vibe is cozy and nice, but the sandwiches are not too too great. Bread is usually hard, and the balance of flavors can be worked on.

Loved the atmosphere, its super cozy and a lovely spot for post dinner coffees and chatting. My only complaint is that the barista charged me for three drinks instead of the two I ordered, and the only one that was correct was the drip brew coffee. I wish he would have remade my small latte so that it was correct, because now Ive paid for 3 drinks plus tip to drink the wrong drink. At first I was worried Id stolen someone elses drink, but the barista informed me it was in fact mine. Normally Im not too picky, but there were maybe 5 people in the store, and I was the only one waiting on drinks.Ill probably choose another coffee shop next time.

This cozy little coffee and pastry shop has delicious caffeine in all its many forms. The wraps and tarts are especially good, and the manager, Jamarr, is so friendly!

We like to get the breakfast sandwiches (hooray for gluten-free bagels!). Cozy atmosphere, but look out for the rogue A/C vents in the floor if you get cold easily!

I enjoyed a terrific Americano and they made it as I requested, nice & strong! I had delicious eggs with cheese & fresh sliced avocado & side of fresh fruit.

It had cactus in its description. It did NOT disappoint! Nice little place, friendly atmosphere. All ages had come in and out in the short time I was enjoying an espresso masterpiece. They have board games and an outdoor eating area. Its small and has limited parking but theyve made great use of the small space. Its worth it. Inventive paint and design scheme, good music - but nothing over the top, screaming Were woke or Coffee Snobs without Jobs, or Your seventh shot of espresso is free.* *Redeemable only ONCE per day, people. WHY are you STILL at work? Dont you sleep? ever? Go home already - your coffee jitters are giving coffee jitters to my coffee jitters. Truth be told, Ive never come across the cafe with, Its called espresso, NOT ex-presso, snobbery except once at a DC Starpunks, and in that case, I actually think it was just a one-time bad day for the barista. So. Either way, good stuff. Keep it up, Aroma Cafe. Looking forward to returning.

Hands down my favorite coffee shop in town! I love the calming atmosphere, the local artwork on the walls, and the friendly baristas.

Good coffee and food. My favorite menu item by far is the lox platter, generous portion of lox for the price and delicious cream cheese.
