The building is definitely older and could use some updating. That said, it was clean and the employees were very nice and accommodating. The produce was really beautifully arranged and the shelves were orderly and fully stocked. It felt a little crowded but there were lots of residual sales from the holidays. Shopping here was quick and easy. Parking lot was well lit and unlike so many other stores, a breeze to get in and out. Great experience.
Large variety of pizza toppings available with ample quantities in stock.
We have lived in Champlin about 8 years and enjoyed shopping locally. The people waiting on me are usually friendly and helpful. The last year or so the Champlin Cub has been going down hill. I never see anyone cleaning after using carts or machines. The other evening I was in there and needed assistance. There were 5 young workers standing up front by the register visiting. When I asked them for help, I was just told to look in a certain isle if you had any. Then they turned to each other and continued to visit. Also there is a person or 2 usually by the self checkout but I never see them cleaning or motivated to do anything extra. I feel sad that the service has gone south but Target isnt far away and the workers there are always friendly and helpful. This is normally a reflection on management.
I had a huge Instacart order and had to have 2 carts both of which were filled up with things. My cashier Tom T was very friendly and had a conversation with me while we laughed about how big this order was. As I was bagging he called up another associate Rudy to help me bag so it could go faster. Rudy had also helped me locate a few items throughout the store while I was shopping. He did a great job at separating the groceries so nothing got squished and he even helped me bring them out to my car so I didn’t have to struggle with 2 carts through the parking lot. I was very happy with the service and friendliness of the employees! They made a stressful Instacart order much easier.
I enjoy their food from the deli, I found everything that I was looking for. Thank you guys for doing a good job! 😁😁😁❤
I’m in love with your sushi 🍣🍣
I just moved to the area and shopped at Festival before. Now I always shop here. Theres always at least 2 cashiers working and 6 self checkouts open. The store brands are great 👍
Its disappointing to see so many advertised items out of stock at this location. Seems to happen quite a bit.
On my way out the door to the parking lot I saw some old dude hiding envelopes around the outdoor displays. Opened one up and it was filled with a bunch of anti-mask propaganda so I threw it in the trash where it belonged.Wasn’t sure if I should’ve told a worker about it or what so I’m writing it here in the hopes that an employee reads this so they’re aware of it.
Deli food salads are fresh and taste like home-made!!Yum
Very happy with this store. And today when I went in, there was a worker wiping down every cart. Was there walking in and still there when I left.
On the downside, food prices here are pretty high compared to CostCo. On the upside, the produce is in pretty good shape, though. Store is fairly clean, staff is fairly nice.
The store itself I like. The staff is fine. Clean store, never had a problem finding what I need. Sometimes has pretty good sales. My Downside is that they are a bit expensive. I can go in there only needing a few things and end up spending 50 bucks. And you look back at your purchases and wonder how did those few things cost so much.
During this crisis focus has been on health care workers, first responders and law enforcement, which is absolutely correct, however please dont forget about the store staff who is doing their very best to provide us food and supplies during this outbreak and in keeping us as safe as possible.
I hate checking out myself. But when there is only 1 open lane at 6pm and its 6 people deep while 4 of their high school workers are busy talking you have no choice. It was interesting listening to the stockers in pizza aisle having an in depth discussion on golden showers. Think Ill be sticking with other locations like Anoka instead.
Remodeled, friendly staff, lots of parking and wonderful promotions. They also offer a free fruit choice of apple, orange or banana for kids as well as a free cookie for kids while you shop. If you have kids they also have several kid friendly carts to make shopping more exciting for little kids.Cashiers are great! This location also have bag recycling and a post box out front.
Nice, clean, good selections of food. Nice customer service at the cashier, staffs ask if I need help.
OK this a huge cub food. I never been there before and was really lost for what needed. One of team members took me to it not just pointing. Got what I needed and then got lunch made to order sushi it was great.
Prices are as high as Lunds&Byerlys but with almost no customer service, and never really scrubbed clean. However, it is the only 24 hour store in Champlin.
Not good. Went to Ready to Eat section. Wanted to get a salad or some sesame orange chicken. No salads. All the chicken rice bowls were expiredAsked for a fresh one. Was told no time to make any. Relayed info about expired product was told yes I suppose there are. Have no help back here.
Been coming here since I was a tiny tot. Always a good experience. Nothing special, but the employees do a well enough job.
The staff there really is pretty darn friendly.... I go to the deli a lot get chicken or something like that some cold salad etc.... Really quite fond of this particular Cub foods....😃
Cub has wonderful ads/coupons. The large selection can not be beat. But... If you cant find one item on your list... You wont see an employee till checking out and its too late to get that one item.
Overall, it is conveniently located, clean store and always stocked. Skip the deli as the staff is typically very rude, ignore people standing in line to order food and the chicken is usually dry as it has been sitting out so long. The meat and seafood section has a great variety and the staff are very helpful.
While regularly getting food from the deli, Kymberli and Karen are always great to be helped by. Always with a smile on their faces, they are very pleasant and patient. Taking customer service to another level, very much appreciated.
This store is regularly sold out of Sriracha which has became a staple condiment for many people. This store has a whole row for pop, where only a tiny portion of that row is dedicated to pop thats on sale, and its regularly out of stock. The employees are doing their best and theyre nice, but they dont seem to be treated very well by their employer. This is easy to see when you visit Target and Hyvee which also nearby and have much happier employees.Cub has become a relic that now requires a nearby competitor to threaten their business model before theyll provide quality service. Just look at the Cub in Brooklyn Park next to where the Hyvee is. Or look in Plymouth or Robbinsdale where a similar situation occurred.
Has everything I need in a smaller Cub Foods store. They always have deals going on. Staff is helpful and friendly. 🙂 They always have seasonal items available. This Cub has a pharmacy, banking, and a liquor store!
Excellent customer service!!!!! Really nice employees!! Lucas at the customer service counter is A+! Went the extra mile!! Awesome people!! Thanks!
Yes great place to pick up the Smalls nice and organized and very clean and neat
Good staff and services.
Employees are always very friendly. Active in the community with activities planned throughout the entire month, coloring contest monthly for kids of all ages. Clean and well organized.
Have been shopping at this store for years and overall have had good experiences. However, this past week January 2017, I purchased some sandwich meat and subsequently used it to make sandwiches for work all week. I have had terrible gastric pain all week, only to learn upon examining the meat package that the meat expired in November 2016. 2 MONTHS AGO. I may continue to shop at this store, but not for some time. Hyvee, Target and Aldis are all in the area and will receive more of my business until I can be sure that Cub is not going to sell me expired food.
I have not had a bad experience here
Clean store. Helpful employees. I recently moved to MN and was surprised at the cost of produce. An employee explained that all fruits and vegetables have to be shipped in. Spoiled living in the South. Their uniform shirt color reminds me of baby poop, so I dont find food appealing while shopping.
Cubs in general are an average grocery store. I find that this location in particular is often out of basic items. On multiple occasions I have been unable to find stock, various meats, canned good, etc.
Love this location, employees are always very helpful!
Product looked better
They never carry the same food month-to-month they change up where they put it in the prices are ridiculous. Then the meat taste Rancid if you buy it on sale.
Great prices. Good service. Clean
Excellent grocery store with great ptices and quality. Awesome bakery, deli and range of products.
It was fine. Store has been nicely updated. Signage is ample. I like the store.
Its very hard to buy groceries when all the carts are outside. I couldnt believe that everyone was standing around and not helping the customers in the store. I ended up leaving so much merchandise was out of stock. I wont be returning.
I no longer shop at Cub because of their very poor produce. I was only in your building because I was will other people. But it is sad that I was a very loyal Cubber for 16 - 17 years and then your good product selection changed to very poor.
IF YOU NEED TO GO TO CUB FOODS GO TO THIS ONE. This Cub Foods is so much better than the Brooklyn Park Cub Foods
As a long time resident of Champlin Ive been shopping at this location for years back when it was County Market before it was Cub Foods. They recently remodeled and it is much better by having a cafe area where customers can properly sit down as well as a self check-out with more lanes open for convenience (twelve when before it was four).I joined their Rewards Program which is both free and hassle-free to do and am glad I did as it has all the coupons on it leaving me free to shop without the extra micromanagement. The staff are always polite and helpful. As far as availability of product I havent had too many issues they generally seem to be well-stocked and of course that varies due to weather and proximity to holidays. So overall no complaints.Thank you!~William Archivist
If you can get someone to help you at there deli or meat department its done reluctantly. Usually the employee will wait for you to leave and avoid acknowledgement that your waiting and then come over and act inconvenienced because they have to help you. Local competitors like target and hy vee are always waiting and very friendly and helpful. Done with this local cub and will make the trip to other stores in the future even though they are blocks away.
Nice, clean grocery store with large variety of fresh and packaged foods. One star off for being, (sometimes significantly), more expensive than the big chain that starts with a w.
Everytime I go in, sale prices with fine print of with store coupons, have to take the time of having to clip coupons to get the advertised price, garbage system, have a sale, stop asking for my personal info to sign up for cub rewards to get the sale price, this place just sells your personal info to make up for it, theyve been going downhill, Id like to see them go out of business soon
Sort of of disorganized. The produce section is pretty much cut off from everything else. It clean enough but just doesnt seem nice. They do carry more variety of things than the next closest store though.
It is so easy at the checkout and there are people everywhere to help if you have questions. Courteous employees.
Prices are better than most other local grocery stores.Ive seen several accidents take place in the poorly-laid-out parking lot, so keep your eyes open.About 10% of the time I get overcharged at this Cub and dont notice before I get home. I now use the self-checkout even if I have $300 in groceries, just so they dont ring up 30 of something I buy 12 of!
If I could give zero stars I would. I grew up when this Cub used to be a County Market. I miss the old grocery store. This Cub has horrible produce its always rotten the selection of other foods are extremely slim after there most recent remodel. Everyone that I have talked to that lives in Champlin prefers to avoid Cub if they can because the produce is expensive and rotten. I bought some prepackaged food there and I checked the expiration dates and 4 out of the 5 items I had were at least a year past the date. When I bought some Turkey Pepperoni there I brought it home and opened it up and handed a piece to my 4 year old then the rotting meat smell hit me! I was able to get the meat away from my child in time but it smelled like death. I looked at the date and that was 3 months expired. I am taking my business to Aldis, Hy-vee, or some other place besides Cub Foods! I am not sure who would give this place 4 or 5 stars because it is limited on groceries, never stocked, they over charge you for items that are on sale, fresh produce is always rotten and over priced. It was great when I was a kid over 10 years ago but it went down hill its an extreme disappointment.
Absolute store for fresh groceries. Stop by and check it out!
I came to cub foods for some stuff it was easy to shop found everything I need but the price was high on meat.
They never have shelves fully stocked. Seems like they have no help at this location. They dont organize as well as other locations im use to but overall the staff thats there are quite helpful and work hard.
Good place to get food but a lil pricey on some items
Overall a clean grocery store, I dont like that theres no way to register for the reward system on the spot you need to go to customer service which can be time-consuming, luckily I have friends who registered so I use their number, its not worth it to sign up when I only go once every 5 months as the prices are too high compared to competitors to me to go regularly!
This is a very nice Cub since they remodeled it. It is very warming when you walk into the door. I wish the Cub by us would be remodeled like Champlin Cub was. I live by the Blain Cub.😉
The store as a whole has gotten better with the update but selection and stock still sucks. Came in today for 2 things and they were out of both.
Very limited selection. Seems that the liquor store expansion has more selection than their original store next door
Usually had what we need. Tough more expensive than target our Wal-Mart their selection is far better and more fresh in produce.
🛒🛒They always have what I need!
This is my favorite Cub Foods store. Always clean, always the freshest produce.
For the most part, never too busy so easy to get around. Need more staff, shelves are never stocked, didnt have Wheaties of all things last time I was there. Also, Deli never good. Have gotten Chicken Dinner about 5 times there, 3 times they were OUT of Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. Inconceivable.
Outstanding ! And the food was free, just like always!! NOT.
Good location. Smaller assortment of food than the one in Maple Grove but for a normal grocery night this has everything you need.
Everyone associated with the Champlin CUB store is so helpful. Love the remodel too.
Employees are always friendly and the have the best produce in town.
Always pleasant cashiers. Can get just about u need.
I like this Cub Foods. Great bakery selection.
Its your normal grocery store. Has a bit of everything. Open 24 hours 55316 Cub. Several are not (55374, 55330, 55433).
A lot of the shelves were empty. Did not have a quarter of the items we went shopping for. Very disappointed in my little neighborhood cub. It will be quite a while before I go back
Ran into Cub this morning to pick up a few things forgot wallet cashier was helpful with reward cub card and the rain check I didnt have. Thank you 😊
Its not Hyvee but it will do..
Love it should have a map since you remodeled
Very disappointed by the remodel. Cub took away its natural/organic area. When asked where it had moved to I was told that it is now mixed in with all the other products. I constantly have to waste time looking for items. Items are never pulled forward and I can never find an employee to assist me.
Got sticky stuff on hand. Experience was instantly ruined
I was able to get everything I needed to.
Very convenient location.
Polite and helpful employeesBakery is one of the best
It was clean and organized and well lit.
One Stop shopping at its finest
Great store with lots of bargains
Good selection in quality a joy to shop at
Good customer service, but a consistently underwhelming produce selection.
I hate my cub, tricky coupon deals. Out of stock sale items all the time. Long checkout lines/no open registers. I can make you a list if you want. Thank God for HyVee.
They dont carry everything I need, the Coon Rapids location the better choice. The employees are very friendly though, and they have a Red Box!
Love my cub foods
Nice store sense the update
Love the employees, especially the pharmacy.
Good for quick stops
Worst grocery store. But owns the neighborhood
Always Excellent customer service!!!!
Excellent selection at great prices!
Dont really go to Cub much anymore. Cant stand the nasty popcorn smell
I love shopping g at Cub
Dissatisfied that TCF is no longer here
Love Cub!!
My favorite grocery store.
