I’ve been going to I-Mart since I was a kid. It’s truly nostalgic and brings me joy to see them do good! Good people that work very hard!
Nice place for rare bengali sweets! They have Good quality meat too.
Good meat friendly staff but I saw the female owner don’t respect the hard working staff that’s why every one work there leave work after awhile I love to go there because I found good quality meat and Taher chicken
One of the best in Asian Groceries, especially Bangladeshi foods. All kinds of fishes (large/small), fresh halal beef and mutton, halal chicken and organic chicken. Very cordial American Bangladeshi owner.
Be very careful when shopping at IMART ( Alma school) specially with regard to the prices. The owners wife often sits at the shop and arbitrarity raises prices and all the while outrightly lying on the face. I usually get fish and meat from there. Mid March I got Mrigel for 3.99 a pound. Today I got fish at 4.99 a pound. When I asked her that the prices dont seem right she mentioned that the priced had increased from December of 2020. I kept quiet thinking I may not have noticed the price change when I went to get fish in March, while all along having a doubt on the pricing. I got home and luckily checked the bag of fish that I got in March and checked the price, sure enough it was 3.99. Attaching pictures of the tags. I called her and asked her. She completely denied and said that the prices were increased last month to $4.49 and then 2 days back to $4.99. When I mentioned that it was not true and that I got the same fish from her last month at $3.99 and that I had the label, she started mumbling and then gave excuses that the distributors were raising prices. Not only is the lady impolite but she is also dishonest. VERY DISHONEST and UNETHICAL way to do business in times like this. BTW she also increased the price of goat meat to $9.99, unfortunately I did not have the bag with the tag on it to compare. You meed money, be ethical, but do not cheat like this!
The meat is fresh and best in town. Excellent customer service skills. The only problem is i ordered big goat and reminded the lady several times. But i was given a baby goat, which does not taste good.
TERRIBLE PLACE !!!! I got no help!!! I wanted someone to help me and I stood there for about 20 mins then finally a guy which I think was the cashier said something but he was angry, rude and just rushing me. I ended up just leaving !!!! I’m not sure if he was having a bad day or he was upset because he did mention someone was at lunch . Either way, no excuse for his rudeness. !!!!! Someone should really teach him how to treat others kindly. (Short middle aged guy with an accent)
Best place to buy goat meat ...
Probably the worst experience with an Indian grocery store .They Dont have a lot of basic stuff and was shocked to see key lime sized lime in an Indian store with most of it all dried up.The person at billing didn’t respond to our questions.Pls don’t shop at this store.
Nice selection of ethnic pantry staples such as spices, dried lentils and other assorted dried beans, various pickled vegetables, frozen vegetables and breads. Fresh produce selection needs some work though. My go to place to try new Indian recipes.
Good for meat and fish.
They were out of beef and the chicken was cut too big
Its a nice store. You can get all kind of meat here, fish, chicken (Halal) and (HALAL little expensive one), goat, and cow. Some days they gave the lamb meat as well. The owner is a very polite person so does the employees.Mostly pakistani, bangladeshi and indian come here for shopping.I request all MUSLIMs please come to the Masjid across Alma school road, Masjid e Salam for prayers. You can see the Masjid from Imart.
They have no idea how to talk or behave with a customer . They should learn about customer service and then open a business.
It was small and friendly, it felt as if you where at a family members house, it was easy to shop at small neighbor hood friendly great place.
The manager in this store is so rude. I bought some beef from this market and when i opened it at home, it was smelling terrible. I brought it back the market to return, the manager threw it into trash bin but didn’t refund my money back. Instead tried to argue with me. They don’t comply with basic hygiene requirements. The guy cutting meat was not using gloves. I have asked him to use gloves but he has been unwilling to do so. Would highly recommend avoiding this place.
Owner was very rude when we requested them to cut meat in certain size...
If youre looking for Hilsa, Rohu or some Bengal spices this is the go to place..Even you would be getting loads of Bengali sweets and indian brands biscuits n snacks here
Everyone there was definitely polite and accommodating. I would go 4.5 if it was possible. Parking held back the last half. Parking and an uncomfortable lack of ventilation, the air just seemed to hover and stick.
Great place to buy South Asian food items
The owner is so rude, it’s an horrible experience. Most of the items they sell are already expired a decade ago. Not recommend at all.
Brought frozen 10lbs rohu which turned out to be 40% less in weight after defrost. Not an honest shop owner.
When I first walked in I noticed an old freezer type smell. I saw about 6 deep freezers and decided thats what the smell was. No big deal. I noticed the store had almost no one there with little products on the shelves. I read the meat was good here but instantly decided I would not be buying meat as I saw the butcher with an extremely long beard and no beard guard. Contrary to other reviews the staff was friendly. But it was funny to see how correct some reviews are about service. They had a bell to ring for service at the check out counter which some elementary school kids had fun ringing for literally 7 minutes before someone came to check us out. I was in no hurry but if I was I would have been mad! So, the reason I drove about 25 miles to this place was to get good quality spring roll wraps. I get home and what do you know, the reviews were right again. My spring roll wraps were expired by 7 months! Wow. You can walk in there right now and see the exact wraps still on the shelf 7 months past due. Not cool at all. So ya, I wont be back.
Love this place, owner is very friendly and helpful. I recommend to go Friday or Saturday to get fresh meat.
Worst grocery I have ever been to. I wish I could give them negative rating! Unfortunately I cant. I bought goat meat from them and while cooking I figured that it was actually very aged lamb meat. Can you believe it? May be they think that people cant tell what does goat/beef/lamb look like or taste like.I bought chicken as well which was white and smell was really bad, it was smelling like chlorine because they used bleaching powder to make it look clean. Cant imagine what they are feeding people OMG. Never gonna go back to that store again.
One of the most disgusting and filthy Desi food store in the valley. Not only that, the lady behind the counter is extremely rude. She thinks she is the smartest person on the planet by selling expired items and selling items with no labels or prices to her customers. If its not for the blind sheeps shopping here, this store wouldnt last a month. I will be calling AZ weights and measurements and sending them to this store for several violations. Be very careful when you buy here. Check expiration and prices. Their labels and prices they ring up dont match
I just love this place. They got the best Goat, period! We get it there for our Wild Elk Den Restaurant Lounge in Chandler.
I have found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of grocery items that I have struggled to find other places. The meat is very good and reasonably priced. The only complaint is the vegetable section needs improvements. But overall I have been very pleased each time I shop there!!
Service isn’t the greatest. Always short staffed. Long wait to checkout. Definitely needs some improvements.
Worst customer service. Bought chicken from them..when I opened it after coming home it smelled horrible. Just called to let them know and they said will give the compensation if I get the chicken. But, when I visited the store, the old guy in the cashier section behaviour was so rude and not even ready to talk. It clearly says that they are selling spoiled meats knowingly and utilising this current situation without considering about consumers health. They are selling products for high price too... never recommend to anyone...very bad experience...
The only reason I go to I-Mart is that I like the fresh halal meat they have. They moved to this new location couple months ago which I am very happy about it. This new place is more hygienic. They also have restaurant but I have not tried it so no comment about it.The current price forBeef stew $3.99 per lb (see photo)Ground beef $3.49 per lb.And I believe these prices are vet cheap!
Great service awesome prices. Excellent place to shop
They have old stocks. Please be aware, rice and pulses have black bugs in them. When informed the store about bugs, they didnt acknowledge or give any replacement. Bad customer service. Their restaurant is already closed with such horrible customer service store will also close soon..
No one wear mask in the meat shop, no social distancing. Terrible service.
First of all nothing is priced. So when you ask the lady whats the price of an item she just tells you when we check out you will know?Second she is obnoxious and crude and makes very crass comments aloud while talking on the phone. If all that was not bad enough she has the audacity to pass comments on children of patrons about their clothes and appearance... How dare she.I understand choices are limited when it comes to buying South Asian spices and they might feel they have a captive clientele but I for one would not recommend this place even then. STAY AWAY FROM I MART. TERRIBLE PLACE.
Apparently mixing Beef and Mutton is ok and when asked about it, The old guy responded very rudely..Worst Customer Service, Wont go back again, loss of business for sure..Wanted to give -ve rating, Dont have that option..
Rude staff and owner that treats his customers like trash. No one at the register as I wait for 10 minutes. Save your time and just go to Baiz or Zam Zam
Meat counter is a big mess at this store. There is no order whatsoever and people constantly cut you off and try to order ahead of you by befriending the butcher. This is also a distraction for the butcher who handles the cutting machine. Other places have a simple take-a-number system or a instructions to form a line. There was only one butcher on a Friday and the wait was about 30 mins in a smelly environment. Overall a very sour experience and I will likely drive a little further to a better store where the customers are better respected and there is no waiting. The rest of the store is nothing to write home about, the cooler was not working. Unless they fix the meat section, I don’t see a future for this store given the new competition.
Staff here were really helpful in helping me find what I needed, even on Christmas day
Great Bengali fish collection
Great place for halal meat, bangladeshi groceries, indian-pakistani groceries, frozen fish.
The old guy does not respect the costemer, i was waiting 2 hours and finally said same price for big goat and baby goat !!!!he is cheating guy he has different price he think he is smart guy but he is not .........
If you are a Bangladeshi and looking for Halal Fresh Beef, iMart is the best option. Biriyani Masala, Beef Masala, Curry Masala, Ginger/Garlic Paste, Roti, Chanachur, Muri- are some of the items I need every month for which I think iMart is the best choice. I also like Asiana since its near my place.
I was looking for an Asian store. My Google search gave me IMart. This is not an Asian store! It is predominately an Indian store. My over all vibe of the place was a bit creepy. It felt dirty to me and their merchandise was almost all in plastic bags, some dusty, and in a language I couldnt interpret. I did not buy anything here as they had nothing of the Asian variety.
I-Mart is a great place to find Indian, Bangladeshi and such other country related foods. The employees are so nice with customers. I recommend going there.
Last time I bought chicken legs here, the packet the guy gave me looked pale. I asked if it is fresh and he said it is. When I opened it after coming home, it smelled so bad had to throw it away. I guess they care more about selling all their stock even if that makes an entire familysick. Will see if I complain somewhere about this place.
If i can give you less one star i do., Bad service cheating ....
Fresh Lamb and goat every Thursday great service.
Nice place international market. Halal and fresh store.
Rude obnoxious lady. Nothing is priced... a fly fest with rotten veggies... need I say more.Lots of other options available. STAY AWAY.
Have been going to I-Mart for years for grocery and fresh meat
Excellent service and product .below market prices iftikhar haq
Fishes chicken and goat are very good..vegetables are bit old...Indian bengali’s and Bangladeshi’s most sought after shop..😊
Good place to shop for south Asian grocery and recommended for Bangladeshi food and spices.
...good selection of fresh meat.
Went here to get something for my parents an Indian sweet and samosa. Go in, the men stare at you like they have no life. Try to hit on you. The lady up front super rude and if you ask her something she ignores you and acts like she didn’t hear you. I had my friend and daughter w. Me she needed to use the restroom the lady told her they didn’t have one. When I saw it around the corner in by the kitchen / restaurant ppl. I think she thought just because she was white and wasn’t buying anything but didn’t know they were w. Me that she lied. Either way go to the other location in phx it’s a much better store atmosphere wise as well!
They are selling very old meat now a days. All their employees seems to be very unhappy, are they under paid?
Groceries, restaurant is good. Meat options they have to get better quality veal, and Goat.
Great catering service, saeed makes delicious foods.
They have really good variety of fish and the quality is also quite well.
Best place for some Indian cooking ingredients. Helpful staff
If there is a zero start I would of given it to them. Zero start on customer service and 5 starts on rudeness and being unprofessional. Not clean, I saw the butcher picking up a piece of meat off the floor and put it over the meat table.
Aweful place to shop. I go there mainly because of their meat products but I tell you that so called non hijab wearing pretentious Muslim of the owners wife is Uber rude! Shes so extra and and husband is so polite! She lacks decency and customer service skills. She will cause that place to loose loyal customers like myself.Furdusa need to get off her high horse. Its not cute being a nuisance.
Love it so much
They did not seem to care much about the expiration date or hygiene, there has been some improvement recently, but the customer service is aweful. The staf are polite but supper slow, if you are lucky enough to find someone to help you or is able to work at the register. First time we had to litterally go around the store to find someone to help us pay! The last two times, No One! We just left! We ate once at the restaurant. The food was very good, but did not worth the wait. This place is very poorly managed. I would leave a zero if it was possible!
Alhamdulillah we get Thahir chicken here. They have expanded the store and put up in a new location now. Good service, meat is fresh, lots of grocery options available now. Now I see they have restaurant opened with in the store.
Greatly enjoyed their beef Seekh Kabobs and Tandori Chicken with Naan and fresh Chicken samosas when available. If you can handle waiting for your food for 1 - 2 hours after placing your order then you will enjoy the great tasting food:)
We have been going here for many years to purchase halal meat. The owner brother syed is very nice and honest about his business and products. Love it. Plus location is right next to two Masjids.
Not much stuff. Mostly known for halal meat.
Good Pakistan grocery store. Have halal meat too.
Bangladeshi grocery store and the owner Mr. Green is very nice and humble!
Please avoid this place, Gross! Cleanliness is a big issue and they sales expired items. If you complain to the owner, is rude.
The store manager is the nestest person in the worldthe customer service very poorworst customer servicerud behavebadly manage storenever want to shop thereCashier was the meanst persondoesn know the mannerworst place to shop
-1000 star for arrogant, rude, manner less attendants.Rotten vagitables, bad smell everywhere, high priced indian fish and no separation of beef and mutton cutting place. They use the same blade to cut mutton and beef, be carefull if your religion doesnt allow you to cosume certain products.I hade requested to cut 5lb mutton leg piece into two parts and give me half of it, the attendant just blast out on me and said NO we dont cut meat. Then he offered me some old cut meat and when I asked why it was not sold he said it was for someone else’ order, and giving it to you because you wanted less. I asked when this was cut, he replied that everyone takes whatever I chose for them and you are asking questuons, so now I am not gonna offer you this meat. He said me to decide and then he just left.I will never ever go to that palce. I will never eat mutton or hilsha, rohu, cutla but never buy from that store.
Prices are really high for every day things. If you need some butter in a pinch, don’t come here. That is unless you are okay paying $6 for Costco’s Kirkland brand, because that’s what they are selling.
Very bad service! Ordered food over the phone and said it’ll be ready in 20 min and when I reached there it wasn’t ready. The answer was “cook forgot the order and left for the day!!!!” This was third time I ordered food and had the same experience!!!!! They were not even concerned about our time and didn’t even apologize. Would not recommend at all.
Only Bangladeshi grocery store in Chandler. We mostly go for Halal meat and Bangladeshi fish.
Lady was extremely friendly and helpful.
Not much choice in package sizes. Vegetables were not fresh.
Meat department needs to be more organized. Also, the veggies look old and stale:( Hope they improve!
Nice Bangladeshi food.
The worst place ever, the lady is the worst person! I wish I could give this place no star, they dont wash their hands or put gloves on after handling trash, and they they wanna handle your meat without washing it.
Great people and good service!.We always go for meat and desi groceries.
Good bangladeshi stuffs
You get good goat meat
I can always count on I-Mart to have those hard to find items in a regular grocery store. Good customer service is always nice.😄
Fresh meat..friendly people..
We go here mostly to get meat and poultry which we think is of a little better quality than other halal stores in the valley. And they carry indo-pak groceries too. Lady at the counter tries to sell extra stuff which we dont even need :)..
A huge selection of Halal meets and Indo Pak groceries.
Best grocery shop for Bangladeshi.
Meat is good and a lot of Indian food
Not clean floor vegetables are not fresh worse of all male staff using women bathroom.
Shelves are empty. Waited at cashier for 5 mins, no one ever came. Never saw an employee, walked out
Never open on time.Business hours say 10 am to 10 pm but never open.Only buy meat here.Staff are helpful but as mentioned in earlier comments super slow.
Mixed meat of goat is awesome...
They have poor quality meat with super expensive rates. I wont go there.
Great Stuff, Fresh Foods.
