Chris and the No Limits team are top notch. They’re super down to earth and went above and beyond to take care of the needs of our group. Highly recommend this shop!!
Great experience. Josh was a great instructor. No Limits worked with us to get certified after delay between pool and open water sessions. Definitely recommend for your open water certification.
Great place to get your scuba certification. They price match all equipment and give the best deals. Customer service is excellent. Defiantly one of the best scuba shops in the valley.
We had the opportunity to take coursework online and train in-person for our certification. An excellent team provided our training at the shop and on the dives. We would definitely recommend!
Gary is not a trustworthy professional and does not stand behind his promises. PADI should deregister Gary immediately as he is tarnishing their well deserved positive brand image.Gary has poor reviews at the other businesses he runs such as “Network Integration Consultants” and his role as Course Director at “Blue Mind Divers”.There are many other 5 Star PADI shops that are more deserving of your business. Gary also charges more for the PADI course materials than any other shop so save money and get a better experience with a more reputable dive center.
Instructor Jim is super awesome!
No Limits is by far the best dive shop in all of Arizona! Super accommodating staff and awesome instructors who literally make you feel like you’re part of their scuba family. My husband and I got OW certified through this shop last June and have continued to rent from them and get to know just how awesome EVERYONE on the staff truly is. We finally just bought our full gear from them, thanks to their competitive prices, and we couldn’t be happier. This shop is one of a kind and the staff genuinely care about its customers wants/needs. Shop local and support this little gem in Chandler, AZ!
Awesome place got certified at the youngest year I can great instructors if you are ne’er the area go here 👍
This place is the best of the best in scuba. Their instructors are excellent and very safety first people
I have 2 boys (16/15) going thru certification now. Their confined water is done and I’m so beyond impressed on how well they have been taken care of so far. Next is open water then they can dive the big blue with us. From stopping in the store over 2 years ago for fins/masks to helping our boys take the plunge. Thank you EVERYONE they have been in contact with .... Chris, Kelly, Gabby and all their classmates. THANK YOU!!! A year ago we weren’t sure what we had in store as our son was giving his all to fight cancer and here we are blowing bubbles and about to make the most amazing life adventure memories. Thank you again for you patience and kindness. 🎗❤️
No limits scuba is a one of the best done shops Ive been too. The staff is knowageable and very nice.
I went for training certification and it was quick and easy. Really feel like I understand the material. Sheldon, Gabby and the other staff killed it! Very helpful staff. I recommend them!
Just finished two days of class and pool work with Gary. Its hard to imagine that there exists a better instructor. He is extremely thorough, highly personable, and possesses and over abundance of patience. I can be a difficult student in that I ask an enormous number of questions. Greg never seemed the slightest bit exasperated. He always arrives on time, early even. He tells very interesting and helpful stories from his experiences, and you come away from class feeling like relatives, or at least friends. In fact, in all my experiences so far at the shop, I have not found one person that I didnt like or that didnt seem to be enjoying their time there. And I am easily made uncomfortable, as an introvert, and a grumpy one at that.I also want to point out that during part of our time in the pool there was another instructor teaching a boy to scuba. The way he talked with that boy would make someone want to let him raise your children. Here, you are obviously more qualified than me. Im sure youll do a great job with them.Seriously, though, this is a great shop. Their attitude makes you want to spend money without buyers remorse. Scuba can be pricey at first. If you want to spend your money, spend it here. Itll be worth it. Plus, their discounts have been one after another. Signing up as a couple or a group is the way to go. If you are looking to breeze through your training the way to do it is here with their very accommodating schedule and talented, cheerful instructors. If that online schedule of theres doesnt work out for you, dont worry, they will make time for you. A business that truly puts the customer first. As a side note on that, if you try out your scuba equipment bought there and it doesnt suit you, they let you bring it back in and get something else!
We just finished our first half of the open water diver certification with No Limits Scuba. The whole process was fun, and the entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed having Jeff as our pool instructor. He was fun, friendly, and very thorough. Overall great time so far!
We recently got our PADI certification here and our instructor Allan was by far one of the greatest teachers weve had for anything. Not only was he super personable, but you could tell he really cared about your well-being a safety. He went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great time, and even provided Hot Coco to keep us warm in the 52 degree lake temperatures. Highly recommend him and the shop!
Thank You, Your entire staff from the first phone call to the last dive was exceptional. Your instructors in the class room, confined dives and the lake were truly professionals who sincerely cared and wanted us not only to learn but know the safety and skills. I have been in business for over 30 years and I can say without hesitation that No Limit Scuba was one of the best experiences I have ever had with any company. Business culture is a top down example and I am proud to have experienced your company. I cant remember all the instructors names there were so many, we literately had at least 2 Dive Master/Instructors for every 3 students, thats amazing and they all loved teaching the sport. They have love for SCUBA and for TEACHING. If you want to learn this is the only place to go!!Thank You So Much!Frank Hoffman
Very new to diving and No Limits was close to my house. I met the people there and they were very helpful and friendly. I signed up and was very happy with the instruction and service. They were patient answered any and all questions. They worked around my schedule. Cannot say enough good about the instructors and staff at No Limits Scuba. I will be taking advanced diving classes from them.
Amazing dive shop with even better instructors. Theyve been so helpful and welcoming to my wife and me as we have recently become certified advanced divers. They are honest, knowledgeable and so much fun!
This place is awesome. I got my open water certification through them and not only was it helpful, but also really fun.. They are super accommodating and will make sure you have a good time. They also make sure you understand the skills and are prepared for open water. You dont feel rushed or embarrassed if you dont get something right your first time. After I was certified I went diving in Palau, Thailand, and Honduras and I felt comfortable and well prepared for all of those dives.
Outstanding SCUBA shop. In every class Ive taken here the experienced instructors go way beyond the minimum requirements to make sure you can have a fun and safe dive every time you get in the water. The trips Ive been on have been well planed and staffed with friendly knowledgable dive masters. I never think twice about signing up with No Limits.
My wife and I just finished our PADI open water certification through No Limits Scuba, we were impressed every step of the way with the knowledgeable and helpful staff at NLS. We did our pool dives with Andie and our lake dives with Mark. They were both as helpful as could be, we were very grateful to have learned from both of them. I would recommend No Limits Scuba as well as Andie and Mark to anyone!
Awesome staff and instructors. Got me super excited about the sport.
What a awesome trip to San Carlos the February 12-14, 2016 has been. Being my first time diving in Mexico and going as a single diver, I was apprehensive but looking forward to the adventure. The No Limits Crew: Mike Chamberlain, Gary, Alexa and Jordan had every detail of our trip, planed, scheduled and organized to get the most enjoyment- maximum diving from every minute of our trip. From the time I unloaded my gear I was welcomed into the group and never felt I would not have a dive buddy of friend to enjoy the weekend with. Feeling like I was a part of the family made the multi-hour drive fly by. The diving was awesome, some comments of cold water were spoken but per dive preparation from someone thats dislikes the cold kept that issue handled. I highly recommend going with No Limits. I rate both the trip and No Limits customer service at 101%. Great job guys. Thanks for everything. I will defiantly be hooking-up with the No Limits team for more adventures.
If if could give 0 stars I would. The owner is very nice and understanding but the instructors are horrible. I was held under water without air after I was not able to preform one of the certification tasks and then was told to calm down after I was gasping for air and choking on water. Traumatizing experience.
Jeff was our instructor and was excellent! Would recommend this shop to anyone
If you want to get into a new hobby I recommend scuba diving because everyone there is so nice
Terrific! These guys are very helpful and LOVE scuba. Highly recommend. Very friendly and extremely easy to talk to do about our needs.
They were amazing and went out of their way to accommodate my schedule to make sure I got my certification. Patient and helpful through the process. Cant thank them enough!
Excellent shop. Great people. Very attentive to safety, scheduling and personal needs.
Jeff has been phenomenal. Another dive shop told me I needed to get my regulator serviced and I was confident they were overcharging me. I brought my equipment to No Limits Scuba, they tested everything, and said that it did not need to be serviced! Cant recommend this shop highly enough!
Got open water padi certified here! The staff and instructors are all very helpful and friendly! Definitely recommend!
Have used this shop for gear purchase and service, expanding skills and experience and my favorite feature of the shop, dive trips. With trips to various spots in California and Mexico, I have had more great experiences than I can list.
Disclaimer: This one star-review is specifically related to this companys use of Groupon, and not the quality of service.I recently purchased a Groupon for the PADI Open Water certification for $115 (apparently discounted from $250). When I called the shop to redeem the Groupon, they informed me that the Groupon did not include the course training materials, which I was surprised to find out cost a whoping $220 on top of what was already paid.I am already certified, so this Groupon was purchased as a gift. I can tell you, unequivocally, a PADI open water certification course should NOT cost $480 (which is apparently No Limits list price). In fact the discounted rate of $335 is on the high-end for what this class costs at other scuba shops in Phoenix.Buyer beware.
“No Limits Scuba” - Chandler Arizona gets a 10 out of 10 for their brilliant support and great planning to make the dive trip to Atlantis Resort - Dumaguete Philippines in June 2018 an incredibly memorable experience, particularly due to my personal situation. Here is my story and how No Limits Scuba made the dive experience unique.I am an Australian female in my late 50’s and experiencing a moderately severe left shoulder injury and back problem. Our dive group composed of Americans who I had not met before exception of the dive leader Leslie Sherlin, the co-owner of No Limits Scuba and a few of us Aussies.First impression of the Atlantis Resort was WOW, what a magnificent place. The resort looks like paradise – amazing trees, flowers and vegetation. Then you arrive at the outside restaurant on the beach, another WOW moment, not only because it looks magnificent being on the water’s edge, but also because the food and service is fantastic and continued being so. We arrived with big expectations of Dumaguete Coast as we have been on dive tours to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, Padang Bai in Bali and Phuket Thailand. Well let me tell you, it was incredibly beautiful! While Dumagute lacked the big fish we are accustomed to in Australia, it made up with magnificent soft and hard coral, lots and lots of turtles, clown fish, nudibranchs, snakes, frog fish, sea horses and the most memorable experience, the mandarin fish, considered as one of the most exotically beautiful fish. Talk about SEX – if you want to see underwater fish sex – well this is it! The mandarin fish has sex every night weather permitting. It displays incredible colours and is so small. The beautiful mating ritual (love embrace) that the mandarin fish makes, is a bucket list moment, combined with the professional photos that Leslie took and which we looked at every night – etching more in our minds the images of our experiences making them even more amazing!Given my physical limitations (shoulder and back) and high pain level that I had been experiencing for months pre flying, I did not think I was going to do 30 out of potential 35 dives over 7 days, in addition to completing buoyancy training with Leslie. I cannot believe that my husband who does not have any physical problems could only physically manage 23 dives (he went sightseeing instead of diving).I could not have done the dives without Leslie and the Atlantis dive masters, as at every dive, they would fit my BCD in the water not to stress my body. I cannot thank Leslie enough for taking care of me, but also for teaching me how to move during the buoyancy training in order to minimize my physical difficulties and limitations. Leslie has great knowledge of body mechanics which helped me tremendously to work out what to do with my physical restrictions which made sense, improving my buoyancy and making all the dives memorable and doable.I loved every minute of every dive tour! As to our group of Americans and Australians – we had so much fun that I now have more friends living on the other side of the world sharing my passion for diving. I will go diving with Leslie Sherlin from “No Limits Scuba, Arizona” anywhere! Your service, professionalism and genuine care, gets 10 out of 10 from me! Leslie you showed me I have no limits!Martha Mack, Melbourne Australia July 2018
First class group with a kick-ass program! Couldnt ask for friendlier, professional divers =]
Im going to have to side with the vinyl on the window. NLS does open at 10am M-F, and thankfully for me, my second excursion to this unexpectedly spacious scuba store was fortuitous.Walking in, I executed the traditional panoramic overview, sweeping my head from left to right, at which point I noticed Sheldon. Throwing him a head-nod, I offered up a Whats up? that probably sounded more like Sup. That is the bane of being raised on the streets of suburban Massachusetts, where the kids who werent allergic to bee stings called the shots, and would gut you as soon as look at ya.I mean, I wasnt actually raised ON the streets, but I did spend a fair share of my time playing near them.Ive been to a handful of dive shops here in the valley, and NLS has one of the larger showrooms. Their assortment of gear isnt as vast as say, Sports Chalet, but its not a corporate conglomerate... and although Im pretty sure I used that word incorrectly, as an adjective, it provided the appropriate amount of disparagement.Interesting note... purchases over $700, if made through an approved GE Capital line of credit, will enjoy a full Gregorian calendar year of deferred interest. Combine that with the 10% discount extended for being a club member, and that, my friend, spells savings. For example, the regulator, oct (the yellow line and breather), wireless tank transmitter, and gigantic wrist computer Im looking at run about $1900 combined. Subtract the 10%, and divide principal-only payments over 12 months, factor in sales tax... minus the amortization, carry the two...OK, I think we can all agree, Im no math whiz. But, if you purchase a regulator, youll get the Equipment Specialist course for free. Thats a total prize package worth over $160 US... and Im gonna do it... and not just because I said I was going to do it in this review... although that is mostly the reason. And if lake diving aint yo thang, then stop by the trip and travel kiosk, located conveniently in the west wing. NLS hosts monthly trips to San Carlos MX for only $599 pp based on double occupancy. Heres the kicker. You aint staying in some musty hotel. No my friend, your accommodations are located in an oceanfront luxury home. Thats how Antonio Banderas would roll, and gosh darn it, why should your roll have any less butter than his? Two days of 3 tank dives are included, with an available third day of room and diving for a modest up-charge.Have a little more chang-chang in your pocket, then consider Honduras. Not only are they know for cigars and the flesh trade, but their diving is unparalleled. Two words: shark diving. Get up close and personal with the spiney blast-bots of the sea. Only $1650 pp based on double occupancy. All trip deposits are $500 min. All gear can be rented at NLS. Im happy to have a shop, close enough to my house, to call my own.P.S. That same GE credit card can be used at Global Bikes too.
Excellent staff, very accomodating, very knowledgeable, very affordable - Highly recommend Jeff & his staff!!!Great experience for me & my son!
Great customer service, I love this shop!
Asked to pre-pay for two sets of fins that would be in within 3 days. 2 weeks later and no fins and no call.....feeling screwed....
Awesome people work their.
The worst choice you could possibly make.Beware! Stay Away! Nothing but problems.Never Again.
Super helpful!!
