Buyer beware. Our overall experience with East Valley Music Center itself has been pleasant. Unfortunately the issue is with Milano Music with who EVMC utilizes for school instruments and who customer payments go through. Please be aware that they will take any money that you owe the from your bank account without notice. If you are behind, they reserve the right to charge your account ( or credit card on file) without your knowledge. They run your card as they see fit to bring your account current or to pay off a balance of a returned or exchanged instrument, again, without the customers knowledge prior to doing so. “It’s in the contract” is what you will be told if you call to figure out what is going on. This review isn’t a disgruntled customer- it’s nothing more than making sure the general public is aware that the business/payment side of Milanos Music should definitely be run in a more sound manner.

Stopped by east valley music today to get a clarinet fixed. The guy with the beard was super awesome and had just the part that was needed. He fixed it on site and we were on our way. Thank you! Love this place!

Amazing little shop with great service! Super easy getting what you want and fast- without getting pressured to get something you dont need. Way better than the other unfriendly Music store down the road... Skip them and come here to EV Music Center!

I came here to restring my guitar and Anthony was super nice and helpful. He changed my strings, tuned it, and got rid of the buzzing sound. Definitely will return again.

Not too many options here as far as competition goes. My daughter enjoyed the bass clarinet they rented her. It looked to be in great shape. Part of the money can go toward the purchase of same instrument at the end of school year. So you can save there. But it just seemed a bit pricey. Her band teacher let the instrument stay at school because of the size. So I never saw her practice. But she played it well at the recital. Thanks

The woman at the front needs an attitude adjustment, she makes you feel like youre not wanted there....Edit: its the right location, your counter is on the left side almost runing the legth of the wall and as you enter theres a wall separating the rest of the store from the sitting area, the older woman, snapped at us as we entered and just kept staring at us, the man was nicer and helpfull but good luck getting past her.

If you’ve ever seen School of Rock, then you understand who The Man is. Well the owner of this shop is thee man. He tuned up my guitar tossed in some free stuff and sent me on my way with a smile. No other shop in Arizona is as willing to help the aspiring musician than this one.

So unbelievably helpful! They spent time explaining the process of renting a violin and made sure we understood all the benefits. We came back later for accessories and a ukulele. I appreciate excellent customer service and we definitely got it here!

Super helpful and friendly. I took an acoustic guitar in to get some new strings and ask about a replacement part for a missing tuning peg. The owner found a spare part and repaired it on the spot free of charge. My daughter also has a violin that we rent here and they are very helpful with that when we take it in. Great store with a true mom and pop type feel to it. I will be back again.

I met with Lennie in the shop, and he tuned and adjusted my guitar back into great shape. This is a great store helping our community with musical repairs and lessons for all instruments! I highly recommend stopping by!

Great local music store. The people who provide lessons are patient and good with kids. I feel the music store staff give good advice about your next instrument purchase and dont try to unnecessarily up sell you.

When my son got a new guitar, we needed a few more items to complete the setup. EVMC was helpful and efficient. I picked up a new strap, amp, course and got a tune in about 10 minutes. The friendly support end many options will keep me returning on the future.

Very disappointed that our regular class time slot for my daughters piano class was given to someone without letting us know..even we are already paid for the class in the beginning of month. The manager giving us excuse that they tried contacting us but since I was out of town she didnt really speak to me..then without my knowledge how can they change our class time and changed the teacher just few weeks before recital? Unbelievable ...non professional.

I bought a nice Acoustic made from Koa wood from them. I wanted to support local instead of guitar center and Im way glad that I did. The guy there didnt push anything on me and offered a range of guitars (cheap-more pricey) so I could decide on my own.Im going to keep going back for strings and such....maybe a pedal or ukulele in the future....

Lonnie was beyond helpful for us when we came in two different times with problems on guitars that were given to us and I know nothing about guitars. I was only planning to ask his opinion on what was wrong with it but he went above and beyond and fixed them right up, tuned them, explained how all the mechanics worked and what to be aware of for the future. He was able to do simple fixes on both when another guitar store had told me the issues were probably not worth trying to fix. I had thought I was going to need to buy a new guitar but he totally saved us both times.

Needed a case for my husbands bass and this place has pretty much everything you need. The guy who helped us was great.

Bought a 1/16 violin online for my daughter and the bridge was not angled correctly. Prevented my daughter from shifting between the E and A strings. Mr. Anthony, although not pleased with the quality of the violin, took the time to position the bridge and tune for me.Thank you for your service, it was appreciated.

We walked in with a couple things that needed work on the bass clarinet. The brothers Lenny and Anthony were very helpful and fixed it right away. Very fast and friendly service and would 100% recommend.

I called to ask about them putting the strings onto a bridge on a violin. He told me they would not touch the brand we had bought, that they were garbage. He was extremly rude.

Excellent customer service, went in to see if they could free up a small slide on trumpet, gentlemen did that and took other slides out, cleaned surfaces and lubed them, and then at no charge, would definitely use this store again for all needs! Thank you so much!

This was the second year we were customers with this company. We rented an instrument for our daughter. All went well until my wife recently had her credit card replaced from our Bank. The monthly amount was deducted monthly from out credit card so she made it a point to call the store to give them the new card info. They told her she needed to go down in person to fill out paperwork so she made the trip that day. They made her fill out a new credit card form which included name address credit card number etc. A month later she got an email stating our account was past due. The email stated that if you needed to update your credit card info attached was the form to mail back.( Funny she tried that on the phone but was told she had to make the trip ) She emailed back to the sender telling them she had already made a trip to the Chandler store to fill all the forms out and was concerned that our account was showing past due. She asked in that email if they had her updated card info and to please let us know what was going on. We were concerned with our info floating around. We never got a response again, we tried three times to ask for an update and was ignored. We finally called today and the main store ( Mesa ) and they had no clue what was going on. We expressed our concern but all they really did was point a finger at the Chandler Store. We finally suggested they check with the Chandler Store ( duh ) And he stated he would call us back. When he did call back we were informed our info was no where to be found. We expressed our concern again about our personal information floating around. Finally we decided to return the instrument and find a business that takes our personal info a little more serious. When we returned our instrument to the Chandler Store the clerk at the counter asked my wife who she gave the credit card info to. My wife pointed to the young lady sitting at the desk as your arrive at the store. The clerk at the counter then tried to tell my wife that was not possible. So let me get this straight, they lose our personal info and then try to imply my wife is a liar? Buyer or renter beware, these guys are clueless, rude and if you do not want your personal info stolen or lost find another place to do business with. We sure did!
