First time here, the dessert was delicious. At first I thought was priced $15 for a dessert, but it worth every penny, it’s a good size for 2 and it’s fresh fruit. The guy at front was friendly and polite and that it’s a plus for me.And the place look really clean. For sure I will back when ever I have the chance... Highly recommend.
I’m Servsafe certified so Im very critical when it comes to food safety because I know how bad & sensitive it is. This place seems to have hygiene issue. It looks clean but the smell in the whole dining area was terrible like a toilet smell. The table was sticky also. The dessert tasted good but it also caused me diarrhea, my stomach was upset on my way home. I didnt eat anything else after. I probably had diarrhea again within another hour or so. & then the next morning again & felt nausea. & then on top of that my husband had nausea & vomited as well. Please improve the hygiene in your place. Especially with covid it should be taken more seriously than normal anyway. Not that covid should be the excuse to be hygienic. It just shows such lack of concern for the well being of your customers. However it’s not too late to redeem your business & do the right thing. This is such a big issue that prevents me from wanting to go back even though your dessert was good. I was going to bring family over but now changed my mind.
We have to wait for more than 30 mins to have our drinks. Plus our drinks came out super bad. The grapefruit extremely bitter and our green tea frap tasted bland just like milk favor green tea. Their boba is hard and not good overall.I don’t have recommended this spot at all.! Waste time and money.!
First time experience....Awful customer service. When I asked to change out the ice cream flavor I was told they dont offer the option. Then I asked could I speak with the lady who initially took my order, the RUDE MALE behind the counter playing on his cellphone said For What? Im the manager and we dont sell ice cream separately . Frustrated I gave up and asked for silverware he goes to the back and hands the forks to me with bare hands!!! He didnt even Wash or Sanitize!! We are in 2021 and COVID is real.Never Again.
Nice place with seating in the back. I loved the set up and the menu options all look so delicious. I didnt eat anything hut my daughter and her friends did and they all loved their pick. They are all picky so that says a lot. The service was gr
A cute little desert lounge that has an unassuming little store front which opens up to an absolutely massive space behind the initial counter ordering station. Really liked some of the desserts especially when youre craving something sweet such as the honey cubes or chocolate milkshake. Wish it was a little more homemade and less commercial tasting.
Today I took my mom with me to Who Seek and was very excited to show her the “bookshelf” and the space behind it, however I was disappointed to see that the decor had nearly completely been altered since my last two visits. There used to be plants everywhere and a gorgeous set up with a variety of white furniture but the current set up is semi-industrial. The seating fixtures seem permanent so in that case, I hope something more is added to the decor (something on the table...color scheme?...something artsy on the dark gray wall). I ordered an original honey cubes (enough for two) and again I was slightly disappointed in the change. The cubes were cut way bigger then they used to be the honey butter syrup was also used much more sparingly. As a result, the primary flavor/consistency was just chewy bread. With all of this being said, as an individual experience without the context of the past, the place is a cute modern spot with pretty good desserts and drinks. The honey cubes are a great concept and the belgian waffle is pretty good too.
I tried the Mango Bingsoo and the Strawberry Cheesecake Bingsoo and it was amazing. I really recommend this place if you like kpop or korean desserts.
Who Seek (which means dessert in Korean) is truely a gem in the dessert shop field. Not only are the desserts well thoughtout, but the whole seating design and layout in the back is absolutely dreamy and cute.It feels quite nice to be transported into a beautiful room surrounded by artfully, lovely design to enjoy some sweets with friends and family. Trust me, there is an experiencial factor here too.All in all, I was left wanting more and came back a second time before my flight out of town. I definitely will be back here once I get back though.
The green tea bubble drink and the matcha cookie are over priced and too sweet. 👎 I would not recommend to go there.
The atmosphere was absolutely terrific! I love coming here with my family. If you don’t know what to choose I would recommend their mango cheesecake snowflakes and their honey cubes. One criticism I would have, however, is the lack of water and napkins. The desserts are sweet so it makes us thirsty and they do have napkins but very small napkins. Overall, this place is quite nice and deserves a 5 star
Totally impressed with Who Seek! Its a cafe specializing in a variety of desserts, including cube toasts and bingsoo, along with a selection of drinks like bubble tea and coffee. Its not your average cafe though. Once you place your order youll find that there are not a lot of places to sit, until you go into the back room behind the bookcase, where you will be greeted with a bright white room with minimalist decor, worthy of the perfect backdrop for your Instagram posts. You can choose to sit at a table or on one the sofas, its easy to get comfortable here.We had the matcha bingsoo/snowflake and charcoal latte. The matcha bingsoo was completely decked out with matcha ice cream, matcha powder and drizzle, corn flakes, butter cookies, matcha Pocky sticks, a cheesecake slice(!), and of course a macaron to top it all off. It was refreshing to enjoy especially in the midst of a heatwave. The charcoal latte was very enjoyable as well, a little light on the sweetness but that makes it a perfect complement to the very sweet bingsoo. In case youre wondering, it does not taste like charcoal, it merely looks as dark as charcoal!PROS: literally a lot of choices for dessert and many flavors to enjoy, it will take several visits to try all of them for sure!CONS: at an average price of about $12-15 for bingsoo and butter toast, it can be a bit pricey but its definitely worth it!PROTIP: if it is your first visit, definitely order in and experience the back room for yourself!
The place looked clean and cool, but the desserts weren’t that great. We tried the chocolate shaved ice bowl the first time and it was OK. The ice cream in their desserts are store bought and taste cheap / sugary. Their parfait was basically canned whipped cream, syrup and strawberry. To the managements credit, they did let us try another dessert seeing we didn’t touch the parfait. I’ve given 3 of their desserts a try, and I won’t be going back.
We found hair in the desert and their reaction to it was even worse than the hair. Took the bowl back and didnt even change it and gave it back after 5 minutes. We didnt say anything but would never ever go back or recommend it.
Bit pricey for small portions of food ordered.
Cute, hidden place for couple. Good Korean ice creams and drinks.
The fruits croffle (croissant+waffle) tasted like heaven
Great, unique Korean dessert place located in the Aldi shopping center in Chantilly. At first glance, it may seem like its closed due to the dark decor in the front of the shop. However, once you proceed to the back of the shop, you will find a bright, stylish and comfortable lounge area for eating. The desserts (snowflake bingsoo, honey toast) are unique, delicious and contain big portions. Theyre also open until 11pm in case you have a late night sweet tooth craving.
Cheesecake was frozen stiff. Politely asked the guy at the counter if he could heat it up. I demonstrated how stiff the slice was with a fork, and he almost had a panic attack. He yelled at me to stop and became defensive about the slice of cake being frozen solid. He acted like he was doing me a big favor by heating it in a microwave for a few seconds. Very peculiar/odd interaction. I said “thank you” twice and he gave me a very dirty look in return. I left him a 10% tip for fetching a slice of cake. I won’t be returning.
The food is amazing and intricately put together! Its full of so much flavor it almost makes you feel guilty. The honey cube dessert has a slight wait but its very much worth it.
Love their green tea ice cream and green tea bingsoo! They also offer a great variety of drink options including coffee, bubble tea, and smoothies. We usually stop by here after eating at Taste of Korea. Very modern interior and they have plenty of seating available inside. Sliding bookcase door is pretty cool! Variety of desert options and convenient location.
The drinks here are either too sweet or has too much milk. Also, I came here with a group of five and everyone except for this one person decided to get a drink. We were the only ones in the cafe and the employee who was helping us decide what drink to get didnt let us know that everyone in the group has to get a drink in order to sit in the cafe until AFTER everyone already paid for their drink. Would not recommend..
They have the pictures of the food. The croffle (croissant and waffle) was so soft!
This place was amazing. Im obsessed. The food was made to perfection. And the place itself is so modern and aesthetically pleasing. Customer service was great. They had run out of bananas and asked if we would like a refund or more strawberries. Super nice.
A hidden gem. The nutella honey comb was delicious. The flower walls add a unique touch to the place. Theres plenty of room in the back for large parties and if you want intimate and quiet theres also booths along the wall.
Great, friendly place to sit down in the back with family and friends, and enjoy a delicious dessert. The staff is friendly and the place is welcoming. I do think that the price can drop just a bit though. Other than that everything is great and hope to go again soon.
Best dessert! Amazing atmosphere!
Great place to have a treat of your dreams
The honey butter cube dessert is amazing! Great to share, we had original flavor. The redbean snowflake dessert is also amazing. Seating is not good for large groups. Best for up to 4 people, maybe 6.
Its very good place for dessert. So yummy. Also the inside is very refreshing and nice. One bingsu can serve at three people.
Cute cute. Outside the box place to go for dessert or coffee. Definitely better than sitting at a chain restaurant in a Friday night or meeting for coffee with friends at your “standard coffee house.” Couches, tables, quieter atmosphere. Geared more towards adults when I went, which was during the day.
Ok I absolutely loved this place. You must try the original honey cube dessert. It was heavenly.
It was so nice one there, and the food was delicious! Loved the Secret room The bathrooms were so lovely. I will visit again for sure❤
This place is amazing! DELICIOUS food& drink and the secret lounge in the back is beautifully decorated. Also, the bathroom is surprisingly well-decorated as well. Love this place.
It was so so..
Customer Service - 5*Dessert choices - 4.5*Return Factor - 5*Highly recommend the Snowflake dessert dish.Owner/Manager is super nice! Does everything to make sure your order is right and really wants to accommodate you. Thank you!!
Takeout Thai food quality, but has nice selection of desserts. Cute place, straight out of Instagram.
One of the best dessert cafes in town, I would go there everyday. The prices are reasonable, the Aesthetic is hardcore and the food quality is on point. 100% recommend
If you are looking for something massive and sweet, this is definitely the place to go! Also, DO NOT be afraid to step out of your comfort zone here. If like me youve only ever really been to American style places, this place will surprise you! The interior looks extremely modern, the sliding door to the dining area is very cool too! Never having anything like it before, I ordered the Redbean Snowflake and was extremely surprised at it! Just make sure you bring somebody else to help eat the bowl dishes, as I couldnt finish mine! Wish is, sadly, a rare thing as its starting to show!
Amazing! such a cute little dessert shop:) it almost makes you feel as if you have gone to another country!! the desserts and drinks are extremely well made and taste delicious.
Fun place for dessert/sweet treat after dimsum next door. Lounge with Dali art. Almost feels like going out in Manhattan/K-town, but cleaner, fewer people and you can drive!
Interesting deserts you probably havent seen. Korean variations on delicious ingredients. Some are a little pricey
It is new. They have a back room that you wont know is there until you go inside. The ice cream was awesome.
A cute little dessert placeUnfortunately the portions have decreased so much since my first visit. The management is terrible, and the place is not well kept. The floors are very dirty. Very sad.
Great atmosphere! Desserts are hit or miss as not everyone I know likes the shaved ice bowls, but I like em
Even though there are many places like Who Seek around my area, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this place. The Milk Tea was delicious, and had the authentic taste of Taiwanese tea. My friend and I shared a matcha honey toast, which comes with warm honey toast in cubes, whipped cream and green tea ice cream on the side. It took a bit of time to make (around 20 minutes or so) but worth the wait. So glad this plae opened up!
Cute dessert place with a hidden seating area in the back that is super aesthetic and nice to chill at. The desserts themselves are really tasty as well!
This place offers the best snowflake in town. They also have Intelligentsia coffee which you dont see around here. Their cold brew is something else!
Im a food connoisseur and was excited to try some dessert. After I was told that it would take 30 minutes for a milk tea I decided not to eat here after all. I was appalled by the wait time and ask to talk to the manager. I got the owner instead and he was okay with the wait time. So Ill be okay with not ever coming back here again.
They have an average offering. Compare to other beensoo korean shops in the area, it is lackluster.
Disgusting place.
This place is awesome. If you want dessert are are in chantilly definitely check this place out.
Mango bingsu was amazing :) must try!
This place is so different from your typical dessert bar and yet so amazing! We had a tiramisu snowflake (tiramisu ice cream and ice like a snowball mixed), Nutella waffle (a tad crunchy) and banana bubble tea. It was just yummy! Also the actual location looks like your normal small stand up ice cream shop, then you turn the corner and there is a 9 ft picture of books. You walked up to it and the doors open. There is a huge space in the back with so many tables it’s awesome! Our experience was great!!
Unique place! Taro milk tea was great.
Surprisingly good. Clean place
I got the strawberry snowflakes and it was disgusting! I would never be returning, and would not recommend going there.
Im in LOVE with this place! I was so shocked by the secret room in the back. I thought the seating was just outside and on the side, but then I took a couple more steps toward the bookshelf...the bookshelf slides and *jaw drops*. Surprised by the back seating. The presentation of the food is also excellent! My family and I ordered the Chocolate and Matcha snowflake and we fell in love with it. I definitely recommend it!! Go check this place out!
The bingsoo was flavorful and much creamier than any other place Ive been to that offered the dessert, and it was decent for the price. My only issue was the lack of natural lighting in the back so I sat in the tables in the side of the hallway leading from the front.
I always go here and take ppl here. I love how they always change the space.
The desserts are delicious, the atmosphere is trendy and fun, and the staff is friendly. I strongly recommend WHO SEEK.
A cafe with an unexpected hole in the wall type of feel. I did not expect to see a cafe like this outside of the city. You should visit this spot before it blows up and the queue gets ridiculously long.
The food is delicious, the place is neat and bright!
Secret room behind the book shelf ;) artsy decor, bright lights & uniquely crafted desserts
Good service but limited menu choices
2 is generous was overcharged and then told we are out of the item I wanted. I guess thats what I get when kids run the front and dont even a notice a line had formed. Also not very impressed with the dessert and prices. I feel they make everything look good on Instagram. But they dont even make anything in house except the ice and coffee. The ice cream tasted like cheap store bought had no richness tasted like frozen water and chocolate. And when I asked about the cake they said it is all from a bakery. Very disappointed and will not be back. People be warned you can go to magnolias or even shillas makes better.
A dessert speakeasy?! Wut?! You gotta check this place out. Period.
The service was sub-par and the foods were all average at best.As far as 빙수 (ice flakes) are concerned, much better and tastier options can be found in the NoVA area. Theirs is more like 설빙 (snowflakes -- milky ice flakes). The red bean flavor didnt have many red beans at all, only a little ice cream, and nearly no condensed milk (which we requested more of). The only unique thing about their red bean snowflakes was that it had mochi (もち, 찹쌀떡) in it.The Americano wasnt bad, but wasnt great. The only thing that stuck out and left me with a lasting impression was the Rose Aid. I would get that again if I ever go back.
Loved the honey bread and the sliding door that revealed the secret seating.
The smoothies and bingsoos are very sweet and delicious. The interior makes it worth the visit
Means dessert in Korean. Cool bingsu.
Matcha Green Tea Snow Flakes 👍
