Selections on everything I was looking for was great. The employees were all very helpful and friendly. Store was very organized and clean.

Great store and plenty supplies for crafting. They carry a line of material for sewing. The associates can be a bit more knowledgeable on some of the big dollar items; such Crichton machine and sewing machines. But it doesnt stop from frequently shopping there.

Came for iron-on patches and found a great selection. I appreciate the coupons too.

JOANN Fabrics and Crafts in West Ashley is a great place for all of your craft needs. I really like that this store is very large and has a comprehensive selection of just about everything you could ever need for any craft project you may have. I like how this store is organized and has well marked sections for different categories of items that you are looking for making everything really easy to find. The staff here is also very knowledgeable and helpful and can answer any question you may have or help you with some ideas that you may not have thought of for your project. It is great to have such a great craft store at this location and I have had a great experience every time I have been here.

This location is huge and jam packed full of all kinds of crafting. We love to look thru seasonal here as well as shop their sales. Would recommend to anyone looking for a hobby or a fresh breath of inspiration or creativity! Make sure to download the app and check the coupons!

Love my Joanns! Especially the knowledgable elderly ladies who work in the fabric cutting section. Theres usually always a good selection of fabrics, great markdown items and of course their famous discounts. During COVID, theyve been a big help in face mask making.

The woman at the cut count was very nice, however when she called for help since there was a line forming nobody came until after at least 1 customer had already left after giving up. It took 15 minutes for me to be helped and I was second in line. I would understand more if there were 2 people cutting, but nobody came or even tried to help.

A little pricey but a nice store

I drove to the Summerville location for a curbside pickup. This was the quickest pick up ever! Less than 30 seconds after checking in, an employee was at my car. Joanns is the Chick-fil-A of curbside pick up!

This Joann has literally everything, and seemed super reasonably priced. Leila was awesome- she seemed to be pretty much running the store herself, but still greeted me immediately as I walked in and went out of her way to help me look for some stencils. So impressed by her ability to handle such a busy store with efficiency and genuine kindness, thanks so much for all the help!

Great store, but not a whole lot of selection. I guess people are buying fabric to make masks and the store cant keep up. However, the staff are helpful, and there always seems to be a sale or coupons. Wish there were more joann stores in the charleston area

I have spent so much time and money here, but I’m done with Joann’s, while there are some nice employees, I’ve mostly experienced poor customer service. Not to mention most items can be found far less expensive elsewhere.

Sadly its only one of the few fabric stores for apparel wear left. But there are some good choices if youre into quilting cotton or fleece, they got it. There are great choices for upholstery as well. Nice seating area to peruse the pattern books. And the patterns available some are discounted. Cool crafting section & classes too. Join them online & the app to get those great saving coupons.

Everyone is always super friendly and helpful. Decent selection of fabrics. TIP: You have to download the app and use the coupons to get any kind of realistic price for their products. Same concept as Michaels. I wish they would just price everything accordingly. I would probably shop there more frequently.

I would of given 5 stars for the selection but the cashier was rude to the customers checking out beside us simply because they only had $100 cash. Then she was rude to my friend over the coupons she trying to use on the app! It was like she didnt want to honor them. The customers beside us were polite to us but they did turn back to let the cashier know how rude she was. Cashier was white, older, late 50s and maybe a manager. Ill get her name when I return but this was on 9-9-20 at 11:22am if you want to check the schedule. She doesnt need to be working with the public with that attitude.

Big box craft store like AC Moore or Michaels. If you have a craft idea, they have your supplies.Prices are straight suggested retail, so dont come looking for a deal. You can use one or more of their multitude of coupons to get some discounts, but the deal reminds me of buying a used car. Store was clean and staff were friendly. During COVID, a lot of various tools were out of stock (sciccors, knives, etc.) so we had to order those online. Large selection of fabrics and supplies and were able to find all the items we were looking for excluding the ones that were sold out.

I didnt enjoy my shopping experience here. There are 2 locations in my area & this one is smaller & the cashier was rude. Im in retail myself, so I know the basics of customer service let alone courtesy & respect. She look to me very condescendingly. Will definitely go to the other location or a other hobby store.

I have found a new hobby with crocheting. I only went here because I recieved gift cards from some family members. There were good sales and they usually do have some sales, however, the prices on objects are still pretty high. So I usually shop at Michaels or AC Moore, and just get ideas from places like Joanns and Hobby Lobby. Still check out the place if you enjoy crafts and home goods.

Was very disappointed with my experience. Picked out some fabric and waited at the counter for it to be cut. The person at the counter did not acknowledge me at all. I saw she was helping another customer but perhaps a Ill be with you in just a moment wouldve been nice as the employee wasnt helping a customer when I approached the counter.

Very limited on products no one came to help me other people came in after me and the employees jumped to help her me and my wife did purchase some things but Michaels tops Joanns hands down still a good store but very small and limited on certain products

The people who attended me on Monday 23th were eager to pleased my needs. They made my day helping me finding a specific fabric for a costume.

First I called before I went there and they asked me to call back in 15 minutes so they could see if they had a certain fabric I was asking for. Then when I got there I got even more attitude than when I called. I dont believe one person there was smiling that works there and when I asked an employee a question she looked at me like she didnt even know what fabric was. Thankfully Walmart is right around the corner and Not only was she extremely considerate but helpful and even ordered fabric that I was hoping to find for another project later that they didnt carry :-)

So much fun to look, plan and dream my next sewing project!!

If there are sales, then the savings are great. I wish they carried more natural fiber yarns, and I wish the stock available was bigger. The staff, however, give good customer service: they offer to assist and they are pleasant when you do need help.

Great fabric for quilters... Endless choice of fabric. Other items are priced fairly high.Not a lot of bargains but shes got the yardgoods in the area. Parking easy and store is clean and well organized . No one at cash register half the time so you have to ring for help. Not cost effective.

The worst experience ever. Dont know whats wrong with those employees. First employee, a gentleman, at the door looked at me and turned his head. There were 2 female employees, beside the door, both stopped talking as soon as they saw me and just continued to stare. They then disappeared. The gentleman moved closer to where I was standing and watched as I looked at the storage boxes that were located near the front of the store. He continued to greet customers while looking at me. I moved in the store looking for more storage boxes, and a kind employee made an effort to help me look for what I needed. I discovered that the storage boxes at the front of the store were marked down and looked nicer, so I moved to the front of the store to continue looking/shopping. When I was leaving, the gentleman sent the 2 ladies to the front desk, both were looking at me in disgust and didnt smile, and continued to stare at me. Worst place ever.

The young lady who checked me out was adorable. She had been there a good while I appreciate her service.

I was in town on business and needed to pick up a large quantity of fabric for a project Id be working on immediatley upon my return to Virginia. The store manager, Crystal, went out of her way to call other stores in the area to help me locate all the yardage I needed. I was so impressed with her, as well as the check out woman, I didnt catch her name, but she was so friendly and engaged. Thanks very much for the great service.

Love this store. Its way bigger than the one in west Ashley or any other joanns Ive been to. They have everything you could be looking for a knowledgeable employees. The line can get kind of long to get fabric cut at peak times but thats to be expected. The checkout line usually takes forever too because they seem to have a really garbage POS system so its not the employees fault. I do wish theyd have more than one cashier at a time though. Overall great store, nobody is perfect.

Its clean, the people are friendly And helpful. I give it a 4 because I think its understaffed. Many times there isnt someone at the register or I cant find someone who isnt at the cutting counter to help me find something if I cant find it.

I ordered a tie dying kit online... When I went to pick it up, the associate said she couldnt find it. I showed her the e-mail I received & asked her to look again because the package wouldnt be small. After she finally found it, I apologized saying I wanted to even exchange the kit with another one with different colors.I know the associate needed to enter the sets UPC code into the register, but she became lost & stated she didnt know how to do that. She needed to get it out..After a while, I asked her if she could just return the set and I would buy the other set because she seem to be having such a hard time doing an even exchange. She called management for help (which never came to the register. )I had to take the item I wanted to exchange the item I wanted to go to the fabric counter and wait. This is ridiculous!! They need to train associates how to exchange items without taking almost 30 minutes.

On November 19 I arrived at this store at 9:07 am to pick up a few items. I had checked to web site for hours and it said opening at 9AM. The sign on the door said Holiday hours starting at 9am. The doors were locked! Another lady had driven 25 mins to get to this store at 9. She called the store and spoke with someone inside and were told that they didnt know that they were to open at 9! REALLY? The person in the store said they would not open to 10!! One man came and left and another women arrived, after driving about 20 mins and left! Since the original lady and I had a schedule to keep, we left. I wasted gas and time to get a few items. One thing for certain, I wont come back! Having worked in retail in college, I know that you always put your customers first if you value their business. I guess thats not the case with this business.
